Peridank
So Zigzagoon took lead it seems
Tinkerer
H-how?! How is a 3rd gen rattata beating a fighting/steel jackal of awesomeness? I mean, I still refuse to vote (poor, poor Shuckle...) but I did not expect this...

LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
It might not get Charm but that doesn't mean Lucario can't be cute in its own way as well~
Nicο
Don't you mean furries-desu-pri? As for fans of most Pokemon. <-Don't actually believe this We're all wrong. Good enough.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
It might not get Charm but that doesn't mean Lucario can't be cute in its own way as well~ Yeah, this works Cow. Although this ends in a few hours, and just so we're clear, while I'd like to see Lucario at least tie (even though chances of it are low at this point), I'm perfectly fine with him taking runner-up status again. It's already good enough that he even made it this far.
Sethera
Voting Zigzagoon because of nuzlockes. Though I have to say, I like Linoone better, but still. Though I can't say I approve of pressuring people to vote for a certain 'mon. Just vote cuz you want to. *shrugs*
Flash Flyer - Sakura
That's what I said earlier. If you legitimately want a certain 'mon to get your vote, then do what your heart tells you to. That's probably why a certain incident came about (though it looked like it was a case due to the randomizer). ---- At the least, I can say this final is a bit better than GPT 3's one [not as lop-sided]. To be fair, this match is the most active one in the whole tournament, so yeah the excitement's high.
宇佐見 蓮子@C94
Huh, do people come out of the woodwork to vote for the Final match only or something? I forget what the other finals were like. this logic is exactly why more people watch the Finals of the World Cup, the Super Bowl, the Wrestlemania, etc. than any other match in the season
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Huh, do people come out of the woodwork to vote for the Final match only or something? I forget what the other finals were like. GPT 3 (Vaporeon vs Arcanine) wasn't as hyped, even with all of the drama behind it. People voted and that's about it (a lot of people, but certainly not as much). GPT 2 (Rayquaza vs Dragonite) was rather dull. So yeah, this one is a heavy match. Although that's not to say that a few of the prelims this time got heated, because there were a few. Maybe it's because RSE memories and whatever; I can't really say. ---- Although there is still a day for a turn-around; I forget that these were 3-day finals (and I set these on Sunday). Northern Sage
This is actually the most votes attracted since the final of very first tournament. That one drew 31 votes. (19-12 Flygon) The other finals had 16 and 20 votes respectively.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Indeed, we're at 28 voters right now and all of them legitimate. Even the final from GPT 3 wasn't as hyped as this one. Seems clear who'll win this, but given there's still a good amount of time left; it can sway either direction but usually the scores you see now are more/less final. Agro
So what you're saying is is that this is as many votes as we've gotten since the last time I noticed we had a GPT lol.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Yeah, it's gotten almost as much attention as the Flygon match from the very first GPT final. TBH, I wouldn't have remembered unless someone pointed that out.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Well, I can honestly say this was a neck-to-neck fight all through the end. However, the Pokemon who came out on top this time in the Slateport Master Rank contest is none other than Hoenn's resident HM slave; Zigzagoon. Although special mention to Lucario for surpassing his own limits from the previous tournaments, and getting as far as he did. --- While Zigzagoon goes off to greet his adoring fans, Lucario takes a moment to speak with his comrades and his trainer [and also the press]. [spoiler=] Lucario: I couldn't win the tournament; I'm sorry. Sakura: It's not your fault, Lucario. I had anticipated this match to be a rather difficult one, given the popularity. But hey, you fought your best; actually held on to the lead for a good while and above all, fought it out to the end. I must say that your fight generated a lot more revenue than all of the other fights combined. As a reward, you are getting a silver medal. Think of it as a symbol of your resolve and how far you've come. Latias: He's right; you promised that you'd fight onwards after our fight and that's exactly what you did. I wish I could've made it farther, along with the rest of us, but you did that for us and got as far as you have. Can't really ask more out of you.
