Yeah, now I have to kill off one of my nominations this time.

Anyway. Latias is a nice Pokemon. I've used it in OU teams and it's a really nice special wall/cleric type. Plus she's always fun in whatever she is in. So yeah Latias gets it. Hoping Lucario can go down with this one.

In an ideal world, I get both of my nominations to move on; but sometimes you don't get what you want.

For now, voting Latias because I really need her to advance.

 

Lucario is cool though, and certainly proved himself as a worthy partner for my Eons.

 

 

If worst comes to worst, I'll switch the vote, so things tie in nicely.

*Gets a coin out* I do like both pokemon (even though I've only used Lucario), so I'm gonna leave it to a coin flip (La heads, Lu tails), and the coin landed on tails so Lucario gets my vote.

Although I can probably expect it to not last very long.

But in that regard, go blame Gamefreak for making Latias (or her bro) easier to get.

While I do appreciate them being given more of a role in the games, I kinda miss the challenge.

 

 

Anyway, 8-3 Lucario.

Looks like my aura guardian is getting another shot at things.

 

And while I'm going to be rather pissed that Latias dies this round (most likely), at least it's against one of my own nominations, so nothing goes on the kill list.

(3-8 however is another story)

I really like both; I would say I like Lucario more, but not by much - and, for a legendary, Latias is very high on my list (and for me, that's saying a lot). However, since Lucario's got a hefty lead at the moment, I'm going to give my vote for Latias - even if just to make the match a bit closer.

At this point, Latias is behind by 4 points.

Either way, one of my nominations is getting to the 4th round. 

 

I suppose I could allow all of the second batch matches to remain open for another day, and see if any more people show up.

But that may backfire on Latias (or Lucario).

Well, I suppose our resident aura guardian is getting himself another chance at life.

But it came at the cost of his partner.

Lucario: Gomen'nasai, Latias-hime-sama. I was ordered by our trainer to serve you in combat, but never would I imagine that we'd have to fight each other.

I never intended for this to happen.

 

Latias: It's alright, Lucario-san. While I'm upset that I cannot replicate my GPT 2 record; at the least, I got over the stain of my previous fight and advanced onward.

If anything, I'd rather have my losses be against my own comrades.

 

Seems this is the end for me, but now I pass on the torch. Use my power and take it all the way.

I'm counting on you.

 

Lucario: I'll do my best to not let you down.

 

Latias: Now I hope that Latios-onii-san advances for the glory of our family.

I pray to the gods, let my brother advance.

 

I'm sorry, Sakura-dono. I couldn't live up to your expectations, but at the very least, I fought my hardest to the end.

 

Myself: I really wanted you to advance onward, Latias; same goes for you Lucario. Ideally, both.

But sadly, fate doesn't always give us what we wish for.

 

In any case, Lucario, I have faith in you that you'll advance further than ever before.

 

Come on Latias, I'll go buy you a box of sashimi and other stuff. You earned it after making it so far, and for overcoming your past.
