Konami why [Judgement of the Lightsworn]

Recommended Posts

Guys, the card isn't broken

But it's not shit either.

It searches out your Nigh-Unsearchable Boss

With the downside that it is dead everywhere EXCEPT it's condition.

Yes you can stack it and mill with raiden, which isn't that bat honestly, but it's still not the greatest play

It should not be run at 3.  1 is too little to reliably mill it.  I would play 2, if I played lightsworn that is.

I actually don't think 1 is too unreliable. You don't want to focus or really worry about it. There's the 1-in-40 chance it's going to be dead in your hand and 1-in-40 chance it does something and you're pleasantly surprised.

Think your math may be way off here.

Its Lightsworns, they never have a 1 in 40 chance unless you're running 60 cards.

The hell?

I'm already aware why this card is actually mediocre, but why would they even support Judgment Dragon in the first place? Are Lightsworn really one of the most popular Decks ever, so killing the D-Rulers forced them to make JD searchable again since Eclipse + Ruler can't as reliably?

I find this card funny because of how, after Eclipse Wyvern, they first tried to make JD indirectly searchable through Minerva; but since that didn't work out that well apparently, now they made this that blatantly searches specifically for itJD. And even then, this card is still not that reliable.

At this point, the worst part of this card's existence is that it's taking a card slot in the set that could be better spent on something else... like any of the 171 OCG exclusive Normal Monsters there's no reason to have stay OCG-only.

...Or more likely a reprint of something with ebony scales and crimson sight organs that recently got a large family in this very set.

I thought I'd be mad... in fact, I was. I was absolutely livid that this card even existed. This is a tremendous waste of cardboard, and serves to be nothing but a blatant example of Konmoney's attempt to continuous whore out this wretched archetype for what it's worth. But, you know what? That's fine. That's bloody fine. Because, this card will never be what the Rulers were. If some shitty scrubs who can't put together two brain cells long enough to play anything aside from Lightsworn, that's f***ing fine. This card will never be what the Rulers were, and not even Minerva will change that. All this card is, is yet another pitiful sack card on top of an already large pile of sack cards. If you want main this, good job. You just made your deck worse off now, because all this does is prevent you from milling recklessly. So, go ahead, run this waste of cardboard, because Lightsworn will never be the same without the Rulers. If you sack a win because of this card... good for you, I hope the idea that you won only because you got lucky keeps you warm at night.

You have literally no idea how much I despise this horseshit archetype.

But its a Double Edged sword with Lightsworns. Its stupidly easy to Deck Out and mess up everything. Exchange of the Spirit helped a little bit but then again it would more then likely be milled. Lightsworns may be one of the most reliant on Luck in the game (Well maybe Arcana Force is more Luck Based) but the rewards balance its ability to lose easily. Also there is many ways of getting rid of JD if it ever hit the field so don't hate on it that much.

Incorrect Giga. This card make them more sacky than before. If you're relying on this, you can't be as hyper reckless with your mill. Every use of Solar Recharge, Charge of the Light Brigade, Kuribandit, or Needlebug Nest is a risk in terms of losing a JD or this card. Meaning, every mill through an actual LS card counts, which isn't very often aside from Raiden. Unless you bend over backwards to set this card up, it's just another sack. Same as topdecking JD itself really.
