That also completely disregards what work we've been putting into the lore so far in favor of asking us all to make new archetypes. I give it a thumbs-down.

Sheesh, give me some slack. It is an EXAMPLE, damnit. Of course we'll make a proper plotline integrating the ideas you've already come up with and agreed upon. Did you really think my suggestion was to create an archetype called Angry?

Not when you're already directly referencing the Worms and other parts of the DT lore, which actually changes quite a bit in the plot and backstories.

The only reason I mentioned the Worms is because it is hard to bring a point across when you have to use gender-neutral non-triggering transfriendly Protagonist A, Character B and Plotpoint C. I wrote up a plotline after 5 minutes of brainstorming, and you're giving me a thumbs down on the content of the example instead of its form?

If you're going to make an example plot, then you need to make it more open-ended and not act as if there isn't 2 pages of lore already. And then if you don't choose to go the route of the vague example, then you really should take better consideration of what's already there and reference it better. Regardless, the plot example you gave would change drastically with the existing lore taken into better consideration, and I am discounting the form based on its content because the example form you gave does not fit the content we've already made. So yes, I am discounting your form based on the example you gave. Raisen has also already laid down which factions are what; you really should read the posts more before putting something like this together.

You are acting like this hasn't all already been started. There are already short stories, for a storyline that WE ALREADY HAVE. We don't need all of that brainstorming because we already did it.

I saw mention of a DP storyline project, got directed to this page, and used the material from the front page.

I see. I speak of structure and get heckled on the specific details I used in an illustrative example. That's practically all I need to hear at this point.

 • 2 weeks later...
Dawn of the Darklords
Everything was cool and fine in the Sanctuary, until that day when "Archlord Zerato" was at "the Fountain in the Sky", he feels weird, they said that the sacred fountain shows your past and guides you to your real path, by revealing your real identity ... and that what happens, Zerato saw his past and knew his origins: He was the Son of an ancient Archlord, who rebel against Solemn and causing his Falling down and sealing him down in the abyss. Zerato was confused, questions filled his mind: What happens to his father, and why he don't remember anything .... So he asked Solemn, who acknowledge everything, and saw the fuel of anger in Zerato's eyes, and Sin that can't be forgiven !!

And so Zerato was banished, corrupted by the Darkness of Revenge and Envy, the Holy Archlord transforms to a wicked damned Creature, destroying everything in his way. Stopped by his former friend, Kristya, he was banned from Duel monster overworld and condemned to live in the Abyss. There, he met some new Friends, the Darklords, Descents of his father, Lucifer, his real family. Desire use his Power to transform Zerato from an Imperfect Misshapen Creature to pure darkness: Darklord Zerato.
The Fallen beings have no way out from the Dark Realms due to Solemn Authority, so the only way to conquer the sanctuary was to get rid of Solemn, The GOD of GODS !!
Asmodeus told Zerato a rumor about a Dark being that have the potentials of Solemn, he even had existed before him, maybe if he found him, the Darklords could finally claim the Sanctuary as their home.

The Journey of Zerato started !! A journey that endures years and years, but finally, he found him, a Black winged hooded gigantic Angel, that can guarantee a wish, (excluding anything related to Death, Rebirth, and Love, those were the rules) to anyone who shall enter his place, a thing that no mortal or immortal have ever done, well, until now ... All what Zerato wants was to conquer the sanctuary and get rid of Solemn...

Suddenly, Zerato founds himself with his fellows Darklords, in a whole new world (DP world), the sanctuary was transferred there too ,but without Solemn (they left him in DT world :P ), and so the invention started, and the sanctuary fall down !! Becoming the home of the Darklords

Lucifer restores his power, and want to destroy all the Archlords and corrupt them !! at least the ones that were on the sanctuary... and so, all the Archlords and Legendary knights were corrupted.

Some Dark Counterparts that were the consequence of "Demise of the Sacred Matters":
[...] Plus all other DARK counterparts

Already asked Toyo Reisen about that, and he said we could include some monsters that are related with actual YGO cards.

So basically I spend over an hour designing deletors that are rejected because of slight relation to an already existing card, not even in name but in theme, and my animals that I really like are kicked out of DP lore and you get to put yours, which are based upon ACTUAL STORYLINE already in yugioh, into our universe?

That is fucking bullshit to be perfectly honest.

then, i reject it

mostly cuz giga is salty, but also because it isn't really a possible, canon story since it includes characters and stuff from the actual DT or YGOverse

It has been agreed upon that cards related to IRL yugioh cards are not part of DP storyline. Presumably, you heard wrong.

Ok then :3 sorry for disturbing you guys ><

So I guess I will go for "Helicrons" ^^

(what is YGOverse ? .__.)

If you use 'crons, make sure to remove noble knight references from flavor text

Ok, I may replace it with something related with Cursolars (did I spell it right ._.)

non-DT YGO lore

so like

anything with zera, grepher, etc

I see, thanks ^^

Yeah, and just for the record, we are not crossing over with YGO-related cards.

So, I have been thinking in separating the story and the appearance of the different archetypes in several arcs, determined with the arrival of different antagonists. For instance:

Arc 1: Negators

Arc 2: Deletors

Arc 3: Newarks

Arc 4: ???? (thinking that a LIGHT archetype could be the bad guys for once, like DT Worms, Fableds and Vylon Disigma)

That way, the +/-10 DP archetypes around don't necessarily need to show up at the beginning of the story, but can do so during different arcs, in a similar way to the DT storyline. Thoughts and this and the above arc spread?

Looks good to me. I have an idea for a LIGHT archetype that can be the villains for another arc; but the other arcs I had planned had Malefections (when Pendulums hit) and Mechanicas as villains. But for now, I wanna throw down some Skeleton Plots and see what you guys think:
• No major tribes populate Duel Portal; mainly populated by the EARTH/FIRE/WATER/WIND (elemental) faction. Most peoples live in peace; currently the Members Of travel the world in seek of knowledge, looking to expand the future of Duel Portal. Around this time, the traveller group Aurora Seeker was established due to Angela leaving Shangri-la, Celestial's realm.
 • However, peace is impermanent. The Negators invade Duel Portal; ravaging the Elemental Peoples and natives of the world and capturing city after city. The Members Of are the first to know of this, and work towards fighting against the threat. The Mikos are the first to take the hits from the Negators, the Members first deciding for themselves if they wish to step in.
 • The Mikos are almost wiped out; praying to the Crusolars for salvation but no response is sent. The Perdition Dragon, however, grants them an offer they can't refuse and the Mikos are turned into the Perditions. The Perditions quickly enter the fray.
 • The Members soon decide to enter the battle, but too late to save the Mikos from the attack.
 • Around this time, the Aurora Seekers, after being attacked by a group of Negators, stumbled upon a ruins and was attacked by a dinosaur all of the sudden after breaking a pillar. This marks the weakening of the Assault Dragon's seal.
 • The Syntheticals soon arrive; having chased the Negators to Duel Portal they quickly align with the Members Of and achieve some victories against the Negators.
 • However, not everything is looking up. The Negators quickly regain lost ground as they bring in their stronger members to fight back. Despite their efforts, there are quite a few casualties. As the tribes soon find out, the Negators are constructing a large portal in the heart of their conquered territory.
 • In a decisive battle, the portal is opened by the Negators, releasing the deadly Assault Dragons whom they had secretly been ressurrecting after the seal was weakened.
 • The Assault Dragons, however, do not conform to the Negators as they had wished, and a large war is broken out between the Duel Portal factions, the Assault Dragons, and the Negators. Facing this great war before them, Celestials simply decides to stay away from the majority of conflict instead of helping.
 • As the war heats up, the Aurora Seekers, originally intent on just staying as far away from the battle, are forced to join in the battle as the Negators chased them down, and ended up assisting in uniting the Duel Portal Factions to help take down these new threats.
 • With the threat of the Assault Dragons, the Negators seemed to have retreated...
 • With heavy casualties, the Members Of, Syntheticals, and Aurora Seekers successfully drive back the Assault Dragons enough.
 • However, with their forces weakened enough, the Negators swoop and deal deadly blows to each faction, stealing an upper-hand in the war.
 • With time to recover, the native tribes band together and use technology taken from the Assault Dragons to assist in the re-arming of the Continuum Shift. With enough research done, they are able to assist in combating the Negators.
 • As the battle heats up, the Chronometrics are able to arrive and help in the combat against the Negators using the same portal that had summoned the Assault Dragons
 • However, the battle with the Assault Dragons had left the others weak and this was a losing battle. So a plan is hatched.
 • Using technology researched from the Assault Dragons and the Chronometrics, a five-member squadron is trained to take on the Negators in a new way.
 • This newly formed Global Defense Squadron has a mission: The Portal used to summon the Assault Dragons.
 • With the other tribes launching simultaneous strikes to attack the Negators, the GDS and several select members from other tribes lead a strike-team against the portal.
 • With the help of the Chronometrics, the simultaneous strikes gain much more success as the Negators are driven back to the heart of their territory.
 • As they reach the portal, they discover the now-completed portal's energies are fluctuating and growing stronger. As a new spike of energy approaches, the threat of another invasion of Assault Dragons grows ever near.
 • As they infiltrate the complex, they discover new Negator Tech positioned around the portal; the Negators were ready to capture the Assault Dragons this time!
 • Before the Duel Portal factions are able to take down the Portal, it opens and new Assault Dragons enter the Duel Portal, quickly stolen by the Negators.
 • However, The Chronometrics are able to free a few of the Assault Dragons and turn them into assets for the war instead of enemies.
 • The Negators quickly learn of the strike-team in the portal, and combat them. Despite heavy casualties, including the leader of the GDS, they manage to destroy the portal; creating a massive explosion of energy.
 • In a mad spur of desperation, the Singularity Queen throws herself at the enemy full-force, summoning the Omega Lock with the help of the gathered energy from the destroyed portal. Despite their efforts, the Negators had reached their end-game!
 • In a last-ditch effort, the Chronometrics summon Chronozero X0 to fight the deadly Omega Lock
 • With the help of the Duel Portal tribes, Omega Lock is destroyed and Singularity Queen is driven away from the Duel Portal.
 • With the portal destroyed and their leaders gone, the Negators are forced to go into hiding where they're hunted down by the GDS and the Continuum Shift.
 • With the land returned to peace, the surviving Chronometrics return to their homes, and the Syntheticals make a place for themselves in the Duel Portal. And the Members, they return to a life of knowledge seeking. Yet something dark lurks in the ruins of the Great Portal...

• Since the attack of the Negators, the world was left in a state of ruin with a lot to rebuild. The remaining Negators were slowly being hunted down and destroyed one-by-one by the GDS.
 • Looking for new methods of magic, the Wonderland Magicians had snuck into the site of the demolished Negator Portal, looking to see what made it work.
 • Before their eyes, a member of the lost Miko tribe began to rise. Rushing to her aid, the Wonderland Magicians to see what was going on.
 • But, this wasn't the Miko they remembered. Corrupted by the power of the Newarks through the Negators, Kagura and Kirishima had risen.
 • Making their escape, the Wonderland Magicians were stopped by another Deleted; Aegir, the Traitorous. After a fierce battle, the Wonderland Magicians managed to make their escape.
 • Seeking to report this terrible news, the Wonderland Magicians first approached the Members, but their warnings were not believed. The Negators were destroyed; how could anything remain?
 • The Wonderland Magicians went to many tribes to seek their assistance in tackling this new threat, but were not believed.
 • By now, many reports were made of persons suddenly missing. Both the Aurora Seekers and Members were suddenly missing a person from their tribe, however, there are some sightings of them elsewhere. As an extra precaution, these tribes take to strengthening their defenses and grow suspicious of others, yet still warn the others to do the same.
 • The Syntheticals are the next to be attacked, yet with the warnings heeded by the Members and Wonderland Magicians, they managed to put up a fight. One of their own was lost, and they didn't manage to get a good look at the enemy.
 • Soon, the younger tribes are attacked, and the Ice Burns and Sky Conquerers are both attacked.
 • To answer this new threat, the tribes together call a council.
 • Before the council, the GDS seek out one last Negator signal; encountering Aegir and just narrowly avoiding his attack.
 • Bursting into the council room, Calypso warns the other tribes of the Deletors and the threat they pose.
 • Almost immediately, the DeletorsAegir, Kagura, Kirishima, Magma Glow, Shard, Taokaka, Turmoil and Black Swan attack the council of some of the biggest leaders of the Duel Portal; each attacking their respective tribes.
 • Even after a heated battle, each tribe still took a heavy hit. With the help of the GDS, the remaining tribes were evacuated from the council building.
 • Breaking off from the others, the Ice Burns and Sky Conquerers made their way to pray for the return of the Chronometrics, yet to no avail.
 • The Members and Wonderland Magicians find their way to the lost home of the Mikos, and pray for the Crusolars to save them.
 • The Crusolars answer and decend to assist the fight against the Deleted
 • This proved to be a trap, however, once Aegir attacks Anvis and infects him.
 • With Anvis's power added to the Deletors, they take to the bodies of the lost Chronometrics and manage to add their power to the ranks of the Deleted. By now, the Deletors had grown far more powerful then the other tribes combined.
 • With the Deletors taking such a position of power, and with many of the leaders either scattered or taken by the Deletors, the remaining tribes are forced to go into hiding.
 • In hiding, the remaining tribes make a new plan of attack to fight back against the Deletors
 • With the other tribe leaders safe, the GDS and Crusolars make a move to the ruined Negator Portal to investigate the first sighting of the Deletors
 • In the meantime, the Members, Aurora Seekers and Wonderland Magicians move towards an old library originally made by the Celestials
 • Finally, the Syntheticals, Ice Burn, and Sky Conquerers front a scouting mission on the Deletors themselves.
 • The GDS and Crusolars are confronted by Kirishima and Chaos. After a heated battle, the two teams make their escape successfully with their information.
 • The Members, Aurora Seekers and Wonderland Magicians are confronted by Deadrain and Hakumen. In the battle, Hakuman ended up being sealed in the library as it was demolished. A small victory for the tribes.
 • the SyntheticalsIce Burn, and Sky Conquerers were all confronted by Aegir Omega, Anvis, and Rook. The three scouts manage to see how the Deletors have contruscted a large device inside the old Castle the council was held in. Despite their efforts, the Ice Burn and Sky Conqueror scouts were lost in the battle; the Syntheticals getting out just in time.
 • The collected resistance go over their gathered date
 • the Members and Wonderland Magicians discover the existence of the Messiahs, who can be summoned by an old ritual.
 • The Syntheticals bring forth the information of the large construction in the old castle; that the Deletors may be trying to make contact with something.
 • The GDS and Crusolars confirm this; the Deletors are trying to contact something far, far away from the Duel Portal. The signals they received from the portal's ruin, signals like ghosts from its destruction, alluded to something very old, and very powerful.
 • With this, one last-ditch effort is planned. The Members, Wonderland Magicians, and Aurora Seekers stay back to prepare the ritual
 • Meanwhile, the GDS, Crusolars, and Syntheticals would then lead a forward assault on the castle to take down the Antenna and stall for time before the Messiahs can show up.
 • However, the Deletors were prepared for this, and only left so much to defend the Antenna while the rest attacked the Tribes preparing the rituals.
 • Even though they were outnumbered, Anvis and Aegir fight off the attack-team; Aegir taking on all of the GDS and Anvis taking on the Crusolars
 • The remaining Deleted crash against the Home Team; forcing a large battle on the spot.
 • Luckily enough, the Home Team manages to pull off the ritual and the Messiahs are brought to Duel Portal.
 • After a fierce battle, the Messiahs manage to beat back the Deleted, making a move towards the Castle.
 • At the castle, Anvis tackles the Messiahs with the rest of the Deleted, while Aegir taunts the GDS
 • In a last-ditch effort, Calypso uses 3 Matrixes and forms the colossal armor of the Matrix Omega, knocking Aegir completely out of the fight.
 • Anvis calls the Deleted together and summons the [Malefic Deleted?] to combat the Messiahs
 • However, fusing with the Messiahs, the GDS Matrix Omega helps form the True Messiah; destroying the [Malefic Deleted] and ultimately the antenna.
 • With the Antenna destroyed and the Deleted fought back, the Duel Portal can return to a temporary peace. However, the signal made by the antenna still got out, and there's still the issue of the powerful threat out in deep space...
