DP World & Lore Discussion Thread

Darj

Recommended Posts

Some of us have been working lately a potential YGO storyline similar, or perhaps even as a parallel, to the DT World/Storyline but with DP cards and archetypes, including a DP world, constant threats, the works.

We are still on the initial or brainstorm stage, throwing ideas and some working on the backstory of their own archetypes.
This thread is to gather our ideas and what we currently have, to put things a bit more in order.
I will also try to keep this OP updated with the stuff we settle with.

Main ideas:
- 3 factions fighting vs. each other: LIGHT, DARK and EARTH/FIRE/WATER/WIND. This is instead of the usual good vs. evil teams.
- Work on DP World deities based on important DP contributors.
- Only cards and archetypes that are exclusive to DP.
- Negators and Newarks are intruders from a different world/dimension and are the bad guys of this first arc/chapter.
- Deletor Project: Zefra-ish Crossover archetype of DP Wolrd archetypes.

Other ideas that are floating around:
- A potential Duel Portal (that may become an actual card in DP, a Field Spell or something) device that trigger a new plot for later chapters.

Negators background and short story

Who are the “Negators”?

Xvignette_zps578dff7a.png

“Negators” as the clans have decided to call them, is the frontrunners of the “Newark” in their invasion. Unthinking, unfeeling machines who inherit only a single trait – Hatred for anything that isn’t one of their own, or their masters. Born from corrupting the ‘Essence’ of monsters who travel too far into the Newark’s ‘Cauldron’, Negators are bestowed with the ability ‘Delete’, which has became the deadliest weapon in the great war so far. When a monster is “Deleted”, it will lose all its memories, powers, and capabilities, befitting of the Negators who are stripped of their former identity. Led by the sadistic Singularity Queen and the genocidal OMEGA Lock, these harbingers of ruin lay only waste to the planet of Duel Portal...!

Short Story – “The Outbreak”
x393wz.jpg

“All systems operational, I presume?”

“Positive. MN-000, “World Line”, is fully operational.”

In the deep dark void of outer space, the race of Alien warmongers simply known as Newark clamored around their newest creation. A fully artificial “Negator”, born without having to delete those who stray into the Cauldron. A group of identical scientists oversee a small white whelp of a dragon floating freely in a glass jar, themselves overseen by crab-like False King of the Newarks.

“Excellent. Run the final tests. We shall make preparations to advance today.”

“Affirmative.”
The cocky sneer of False King was replied by the dull, monotone voice shared by all Negators. As the reptile-like alien slithered away from the group of scientists, World Line, yet unborn, continues its deep sleep...

“Installing ‘Drive Core’. Synchronization with unit 100%. Initializing...”
x393wz.jpg
Several days pass, and now the young Negator Dragon has been released at last. From the outside, it seemed completely unremarkable. It can use “Negate” just like its kin, but, a key difference was installed in it.

As a unit created to synthesize with the other Negators, it has been specially equipped with a “Drive Core”. World Line is unique – with this Drive Core, he is capable of attuning his own feelings and emotions to harmonize with that of his targets. A process which is more commonly referred to as “Fusion”. With World Line’s completion, the Newarks take a final look at Planet Portal through the void in which they live in. Today is the day at last. The day they will reveal themselves to the unsuspecting inhibitants of the planet. The first invasion, begins.

Led by the colossal dragon OMEGA Lock, the Negators break through the hole in the Void, voyaging through the deep space to reach their destination. Through all this, World Line loyally stands beside OMEGA, as instructed of him.

“World Line, recite to me, the purpose of this invasion.”

“As you command. ‘To gather data on the planet and capture potentially strong creatures. Delete those who are weak to be fed to the cauldron.

“And most importantly?”

“Remove the existence of “Kirishima” from this world, and from history."

Xvignette_zps578dff7a.png

Meanwhile, on Planet Portal...

“Sis! Sis! Lookie here!”

“What is it, Haruna? Jeez, you don’t have to drag me along like that, you know~ It’s okay to let people walk at their own pace sometime.”

“Hiei have been telling her that but Haruna won’t listen...”

One of the great clans on the planet, they are the so-called “Divine Oracles”. Devoted Shrine Maidens who spend their lives communicating with spirits from beyond to resolve conflict and shine light on misunderstandings. The “Miko”, as they are known. Haruna, Musashi, Hiei. The three main cores of this seemingly divine clan seem to be enjoying a day off for once. Three girls happily playing about near the great lake behind the Miko’s shrine.

“Ufufu. The shrine’s relatively quiet today, isn’t that right, Nagato?”

“Seems so. This beats a day talkin’ to those snobby gods, though!”

Pausing to take a sip from her gigantic sake dish, Nagato gestured at her companion and best friend Amaterasu to also drink, but to no avail.

“As expected of you, Amaterasu... No drinkin’ even in days off, eh? Admirable, but not exactly smart, either.”
“Ahaha~”

The ladylike Amaterasu simply chuckled to her more outspoken friend’s antics, keeping a watchful eye on the three by the lake to make sure they don’t do anything stupid.

“So, Haruna, what is it you want to show me earlier?”

“It’s this! This right here, see? A black ring floating right in the middle of the great lake!”

Musashi’s face lit up with curiosity upon seeing the ring. Roughly 5-inch in diameter, completely black safe for a few rune-like neon red markings on it, the ring is unlike anything the three maidens have seen before. Intrigued, Musashi leaned in and fished the ring out of the lake with her sword, whereupon it started emitting an eerie glow.

“Hiei thinks that ring is dangerous...”

“Oi, oi, Hiei... It’s completely fine! Jeez, no need to cling onto me like that....”

Hiei’s meek self retreated behind her older sister, Haruna, who watched on intensely as Musashi closely examined it. What the girls didn’t know then was that the ring is the symbol of the Negators, and that it would be the first of many, each inspiring more terror with every appearance.

“Hm. Seems like it may have some kind of divine connection... I know! Let’s bring this to lady Kirishima! She can help with these sort of stuff!”

“S-stop that... We all know that Lady Kirishima doesn’t like foreign objects in the house...!”

All of a sudden, Hiei waved her arms at the ring being held in Musashi’s arm, causing it to drop to the ground. A very fatal mistake, as they would soon discover.

x393wz.jpg

With the ring placed firmly on ground, the Negators can use it to teleport themselves to a location. From it out came the main invasion force. Tens of lifeless artifical dolls swarm the sisters, who instinctively took a defensive formation.

“W-what the heck?! Who are these guys and how did they manage to enter the shrine?!”

Cried out Haruna. Hiei hid herself even further, while Musashi drew her sword, pointing at the invader’s general direction.

“Leave now! This shrine is divine property and no one may enter without a Regalia Pass!”

The Negators simply stood there unwavering. Their target was Kirishima, and at the moment, none of the three sisters seem dangerous enough to warrant Deleting. Infinite Paladin, acting as Omega’s avatar for the invasion ordered his subordinates to search the area for Kirishima, completely ignoring Haruna, Hiei, and Musashi.

“Don’t you dare... Turn your back on us!”

Musashi swung her blade wildly at the robotic knight, starting the first battle of the great invasion war.
x393wz.jpg
“Amaterasu, how are you holding up?!”

“Just barely... Who are these invaders...? And what do they want with us?”

“Don’t think about that kinda stuff right now! Look out!”

“Kyaah!”
The battle had raged on for a while. Neither side appear to be gaining an advantage over the other. Amaterasu’s mirror shield is holding out against the Negators’s attacks, while Nagato, Akagi, Musashi, Haruna and the others assist in pushing them back. If they could delay the battle just long enough for Kirishima to appear with divine assistance, they could win this. Of course, that is unless...

“The battle has gone long enough. Delete them, make sure they don’t remember a thing about this battle.”

“Affirmative.”

From the ring out comes the white dragon. Omega’s trusty servant, World Line relaying orders directly from him. Delete. A fearsome power, and the hallmark of Negators’s terror. This would be the first time any unit from any clan in the Planet would experience it.

“Delete.”

Said Fatal Requiem, still in her dull monotone voice. A black sphere left her right arm and floated towards Amaterasu, who promptly lost any signs of life. She slumped down towards the ground, her normally shimmering brown eyes replaced with a dead, unfocused stare.

“You-! Bastards! What did you to Amaterasu-Uargh!”

Nagato became the second to fall to “Delete”. Of course, Delete is not permanent. After several hours they would wake up and they would return to their normal lives, completely unaware that their invaders ever existed. With two of their top combatants gone, the Shrine Maiden formation is in disarray. The three sisters from before are separated from one another, with pure terrorin their eyes. Their first instinct is to retreat to the shrine and call upon gods, but alas, things wouldn’t be so simple for Hiei.

“Now, where might you be going, miss?”

“Eek!”

Appearing seemingly out of nowhere, World Line Dragon reared its serpentine head on Hiei, who froze in place from fear.

“This is a perfect chance for me to test my “Drive Core”. I’m sure you won’t mind being my host... Would you?”

Upon hearing his words, Hiei’s expression turned from “Deathly afraid” to “Despairing”. Unable to move from the teror, she felt as World Line’s malleable body began to wrap arond her, slowly engulfing her. Luckily, the sudden realization of her situation returned strength to her legs, even for just a few moments. She made a final attempt to run towards her friends, but alas the weight of World Line on her back became too much to bear, and she fell short of reaching the shrine.

“Haruna! Musashi! Lady Amaterasu! Akagi! Someone please save Hiei-mmph!”

She called out her friends, but World Line made sure none would rescue her. He used his body to form tendrils which sealed out her mouth like duct tape, while two other tendrils tie her legs together so she can’t move.

“It’ll be done soon.”

(“Noooooooo!!!!”)
After several seconds of struggling, World Line engulfed Hiei completely and fused with her. A new “Negator” is born in the invasion. Quasi Break, the imprisoned warrior. With a whole new body and power, the individual formerly known as World Line advances once more, to delete Kirishima and rid the planet of her existence at any point in time.
What are the Celestials?

Less a proper faction in the planet of Duel Portal, and more…a group of baby sitters that accompanied two trouble makers. As a whole though, Celestials are a big faction in the Duel Portal planet’s heaven, but they have a strong policy of non-interference when it comes to conflicts like the Negator’s invasion.
The only group they currently have on the planet itself consisted of the very headstrong daughter of the lord and her partner dragon that really just wanted to get some thrills by walking around the planet, along with several of her caretakers sent by her father to keep an eye on her.

Either by their sheer unluckiness or other factors, these rag tag splinter group often ended up being caught in between the conflicts raging on the world. The fact that they somehow still managed to survive was definitely an achievement.

What are the Wonderland Magicians?

It was a travelling troupe of originally six stage magicians that performed their unbelievable tricks around the world while hunting for powerful spells to master. They themed themselves after the characters in a storybook for children and refers to each other as their persona instead of their actual names, which had all been lost with time. Each of them originally was extremely skilled magi that were involved in many wars before as powerful combatants there, but they have long since dedicated their abilities in putting up a good show instead, deciding to live out their magically extended lives as performers just for fun.

Recently, they have picked up a promising new member for the troupe, a really young girl that carried a huge book with her always. Her type of magic was completely odd as it was randomly generated, but the Queen of Hearts, the leader of the troupe, believed that she could be a worthy successor even for her due to her limitless potential.

What are the Assault Dragons?

Millions of years ago, a rift in time opened suddenly on the planet of Duel Portal, and with it, a group of intelligent giant beast hell bent on conquest appeared. Powerful dragons armed with futuristic technologies, to say that they didn’t get much meaningful opposition back then was a complete understatement, and they ended up reigning as the planet’s tyrants for millennia. But suddenly, without any explanations given, they abruptly disappeared, and their legacy was lost with the flow of time.

At least, until they were reawakened from the seals placed all around their ancient battlefield. Finally was able to regain their freedom, these beasts decided that the best course of action would be to conquer the rest of the world once again and uniting it under their flag, alien invasion be damned. With that mindset, the heavily armed dragons marched to the raging battlefield of this brave new world, with the full intention of crushing all of their opposition without mercy.

Short Story: Waking the Dragons
“Milady, you shouldn’t really-

Hey, don’t touch that!”

The woman, agitated by the younger girl’s curious attempt in touching the pillars on the location they were currently on, slapped away the girl’s hand. It was of course met with the younger girl’s ire, but for now at least she didn’t seem to insist on touching the pillars again.

The woman sighed. Even with almost two years had passed after she started to accompany the girl in front of her on her whimsical journey, she still felt quite the ire on having to practically babysit her all the time. A member of the elitist group Celestials in one of the planet’s Heaven, she used to had quite the comfortable position as a famous dancer there, but a stupid bet forced her to accompany the childish teenage daughter of her lord.

“Sheesh, you’re no fun.”

“Do you forget about how many times you almost killed us all by acting that stupidly careless?”

“I was just curious, alright? And I swear, yesterday’s encounter with those robotic invaders had nothing to do with me screwing up!”

“Uh… you two, you might want to check this out.”

The knight’s voice stopped the two from further arguing momentarily, and they unanimously decided to see what he had found on the curious site. To elaborate more on it, they were currently on a huge, barren field filled with large stone pillars with decorative ropes adorning them after they had a close encounter with the invaders calling themselves “Negators”. After a night of spending time there to hide from those aliens, they now decided to look around the place to see what the actual deal was with the place.

“Stone tablets? What do these actually mean?”

“Who knows, I’m not an archeologist.”

“Ooh, look at this!”

The younger girl pointed at the largest stone tablet of the bunch, which stood in the middle of the complex. While the other two had noticed its presence for a while, they decided to follow the girl there just to make sure she didn’t try anything funny with it.

“This one has a weird keyhole-thing on it! I wonder…do this place has a treasure hidden somewhere?”

“Milady, don’t-“

“Too late~!”

The girl, seemingly without going through much thought process, immediately forced her sword in through the indent on the stone tablet, and the force of her doing it ended up breaking the stone tablet to pieces, somehow.

“You ruined it! Look at what you did! Dammit, can you act more thoughtfully next time?”

The girl just sighed a bit hearing the older woman’s complaints, and shifted her attention somewhere else around the ruins.

Unknowingly to those three, by then, one of the pillars had crumbled abruptly in response to the tablet’s destruction…

[divider1]

“Well, that’s some invaders gone for now.”

Near a village not far from the forest, a young woman had finished dealing with a small group of the invaders that she accidentally met on her way of going home. The latest inheritor to the arcane secret of the ancient Seal spells, she had the job of keeping things around the area safe for the people that lived there. The land was constantly torn apart by war after war waged by the various factions of the planet, but with her efforts, at least the villages that fell under her activity zone were relatively untouched by those.

Still, the new threats that had been appearing as of late started to worry her more and more. Definitely not of this world, the priestess was concerned about their unknown nature, and she realized that the ones she had fought so far were only a very small fragment of the whole army, which would definitely be concerning.

“…A shock? Is this an earthquake? No, it couldn’t be one.

…Wait, please don’t say that someone trespassed the sacred sealing ground?”

Starting to panic, the young priestess immediately changed course, and ran as fast as she could towards the source of the shock. Though, she herself had no idea about what was even kept buried there despite the fact that she’s supposed to be its guardian.

[divider1]

“Ugh…it’s really strong.”

The knight groaned in pain while placing his hand on his stomach. He had suffered a direct hit from the beast’s cannons. Earlier, without any of the three knowing about where it came from, a three-meter tall dragon-lizard that was completely covered in a metallic armor suddenly attacked them.  Right now, as he struggled to stand up again, he looked at the young daughter of his lord and the dancer trying their best to find the weak point of the dragon with no avail so far. Their own dragons also helped there, but they were simply no match against the mechanical beast, and it’s pretty clear that they were clearly on the losing side here.

“Gimme a break, will you?” The girl angrily tried to slash at the beast’s left leg with her sword, but it bounced off its armor without the dragon seemingly being hurt at all.

“Let’s just escape for now! There’s no way we can actually defeat-“ The woman’s sentence was cut off abruptly as the beast’s tail sent her away crashing into a pillar.

“Damn it!

…You…! I’ll make you pay for this!”

[divider1]

“...What’s actually happening here?”

The young priestess arrived on the field, and was surprised at what she saw. A giant line-shaped scorching mark on the ground that stretched for a mile, and several unconscious people and small dragons lying around there. She also noticed that one of the pillars had crumbled and the centerstone of the complex had been destroyed.

“Tch, vandals. Should’ve guessed. I’ll go take them to my place to question them then.”

With that in her mind, the priestess ran back towards the nearby village to get some people to help her carry the unconscious group there so they could be questioned by her.

Little did she know by then that she had just witnessed the beginning of something completely, utterly terrible…

Pulled this out of my ass last night. Still really crappy and I'd like to incorporate more stuffs from the other user's archetypes, but I guess this would be it for now.

I'll maybe do Wonderland's short story soon enough, but they're kinda detached from the main conflict, so it's not much of a priority at the moment.

Might as well do one for my Psychic Dragon stuff; this backstory will tie into another one later on.

You'll see why when it comes around.
The Psychic Dragons are a group of dragons that reside atop in a dimension separate from those of the other Duel Portal tribes. While originally a small tribe at the beginning of the DP era, it has steadily grown and became a rather large group. They are led by two twin dragons born into the royal line, known as the Aeons; one of them blue and the other red.

Originally, the Psychic Dragons were divided into two groups: Those loyal to the princess and specialized in defensive combat, and those loyal to her brother and specialized in all-out assaults. But the two have combined their forces, and as a result, led to the development of even greater powers than was previously available before. Above all, they emphasized teamwork and would always be ready to call out for backup when needed, or even combine to form much stronger monsters.

At one point in the war, the Newarks invaded their dimension, causing them to develop even greater strength and inevitably, forcing the release of their greatest god and subsequently, its unleashed chaos state. The Aeons, on the other hand, unlocked their own hidden powers and soon evolved to even greater heights; rivaling that of their gods.

Presently, the Psychic Dragons are rather isolated from the rest of the DP world; but are more than ready to engage in combat with all manner of warfare, should the need arise.
Backstory is somewhat crappy, but I had to improvise on it.

Also, this somewhat hints at more stuff that I gotta add.

(Might also explain why I have so much stuff in here; and yes, there will be some more [but not too much])

The Global Defense Squadron

Here's some lore for one of my archetypes. The Mechanicas and Malefections will appear in the lore once Pendulum Summoning is implemented. Just a heads up, I do hope Malefections to be a major villain in that upcoming lore...
The G.D.S. can be found here: http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/332869-archetype-global-defense-squadron/
An elite corps forged and trained from an alliance long ago of many smaller tribes. The G.D.S. is the culmination of years of research and training on five individuals. Calypso; the cunning leader whose creative strategies always landed the squad with an advantage over the enemy. Rhea, the relentless warrior whose strength spread to the rest and always managed to dig them out of deep situations. Prometheus, the patient longshot whose persistence protected them from the deadliest of traps. Dione, the daring fighter whose strength was unmatched on the battlefield. And Aegir, whose trusted leadership always lead them to victory. The Alliance gave the G.D.S. a gift and a weapon: The Matrixes. Three Matrixes were made; powerful cores whose energy could give the G.D.S. the strength they needed to overcome any obstacle.

Using their power, the G.D.S. was assigned to protect the Portal World and fend off any evil. However, in a heated battle against the nefarious Negators; their leader was lost in the midst of battle; his Matrix destroyed and only his memory living on. Or so we believe...

"So there are reports of Negator activity in here, right?" Dione asked, sifting through the ruins of a large factory. Wind wailed through the empty windows of the large structure. The whole place felt hollow; empty as the shadows cast by its walls.

"The signal was strong, so stay on your guard. This could be an ambush," Calypso replied curtly, giving the area another thermal scan. Something was off; their equipment didn't lie about these sorts of things before. "Prometheus, do you have anything on your sensors?"

"Nothing. This place is as dead as it looks," Prometheus said with a sigh, placing scanners among the rubble. "They might've bounced very soon; got what they came for and then got out as soon as they could."

"Doesn't sound like any Negator I know!" Rhea piped up. "Those tin-heads only show up to places to destroy 'em, they don't want anything else to do here."

"More like show up to get destroyed, am I right?" Dione joked along, laughing with Rhea as the two high-fived.

"Hold on, I got something," Prometheus said over the laughter of his other two teammates. "It's... big! But it's not like any other Negator we've seen yet!"

"Where is it? How powerful?" Calypso snapped as he rushed over to Prometheus.

"It's--" Prometheus was cut off, however, as the device in his hand was immediately struck by a blur of metal.

"So nice of all of you to drop in," a familiar voice chuckled. "The family's together again once more."

The metal that had struck Prometheus' device retreated. An extra whip-appendange attached to someone they had not seen for a long time.

"Aegir?!" Calypso shouted, stepping forward. "What happened to you?!"

"I've ascended, Calypso. I've become something more; something more powerful than you could imagine."

"How? We saw you die! We saw your matrix destroyed! This isn't possible!"

"It is possible! I didn't die that day. No, that day I evolved. Your Matrixes are artificial; fake power made in a futile attempt to stop the Newark. The Newark helped me find something real; something more powerful!"

"They're the ENEMY, Aegir! Listen to yourself!"

"You don't think I know what I'm talking about?! We were but 5 men, now you are only 4! What hope do you have fighting such a formidable and vast foe?"

"We have power; the Matrixes will help us stop them, along with the rest of the Portal World!"

Aegir laughed. "YOUR power? Your power is weak! Your power is FAKE! You honestly think you can fight against something like THIS?" Aegir's body was enveloped in a purple light; his limbs extending and his body expanding. The metal whips grew in size as well; the edges more jagged and bulkier. What stepped from the light was more of a metal beast than a human. "YOUR power cannot stand up to this kind of might!"

"Then what, you just came here to show off?" Rhea spoke up, gripping his rifle. Aegir only laughed again.

"I came here to give you one last chance. Come with me and experience this power; or die where you stand."

"Yeah right! You can take that power and shove it up your ass!" Dione taunted, activated his blade.

"That's what I thought you would answer." Aegir responded, his tone low and grim. "Then it's time to end this war." Like lightning, purple cracks spread through the concrete beneath Aegir's feet; splitting and breaking the walls and structure of the factory apart where they stood. In a cloud of dust and light, rubble seemed to explode around the Global Defense Squadron.

"PROMETHEUS! GET US OUT OF HERE!" Calypso shouted, swatting a large boulder that flew towards him.

"Way ahead of you!" Prometheus yelled over the deafening noise of the collapsing structure. In a flash of blue light, Prometheus's armor enveloped his body and thickened; his rifle transforming in his hand. Grabbing hold of the others, the jet boosters equipped to the back of his armor erupted in a brilliance of blue-white light; launching the team from the structure. The team landed in the packed dirt outside the factory, and made a run for their transport not far from where they were.

"This isn't good," Calypso started as the team climbed aboard a large aircraft. "We've got a new enemy."
Not my best work (not very good at these one-off scenes), but hopefully it's good enough.

You should be fine; provided you made some reference to the DP World.

And just so you guys know, mine was designed outside of the DP universe at the time of conception; hence why they're isolated from the majority of other stuff here.

No IC dialogue, although again probably not needed.

----

And if not obvious already, you should have your lores documented here, if you're going to be in the Deleted project.

I guess it is time for me to post lore for my archetypes
Craglords are seemingly just a group of golems that have taken residence at a large mountain. In actuality, they began as a group of nomadic wisps that were born in an isolated area of the world at an extensive plain. After many years the peaceful creature finally found an alternative environment, a mountain range. Upon finding this strange land the wisps decided to stake their claim and burrowed into the largest mountain that they dubbed the "Everheight Crag". Following their absorption the became bound to the stones and created physical bodies for themselves to defend their homes if intruders ever did invade.

Each had a specific role to contribute to the group: Golcliff ruled the crag as leader and supervised the others from the peak scanning for enemies to no avail, Recruit had the task of being the front line of exploration checking the safety and usefulness of the surrounding areas, Surveyor took a deeper look at the areas to examine the materials that could be extracted, then Journeyman extracted the materials and Supervisor aided him in returning them to their dwellings, finally Constructor finished the process by fortifying the crag with the materials and increase the size of the ever growing mountain.

The wisps assumed their resistant bodies would be sufficient in combating enemies, but they were gravely wrong. It began when Golcliff spotted an actual creature, the first ever seen, approaching their fortress. Recruit was the first to approach the Negators, having never encounter another being Recruit was unaware of the soulless nature of the intruders, so they ambushed him. Once seeing the attack all, but Golcliff were deployed to defend their companion. The battle began and the crags thwarted the enemies adequately until the Negators began attacking by air and they were surrounded. Golcliff used his ruling scepter to blast away some until the entire crag was swarmed.

After a long battle of attrition the Negators had the upper hand and the Crags were forced to flee from their stone encasements, thus shattering the earthen bodies. Golcliff continued battling with all the strength he had. The now vulnerable wisps were enraged as the Negators used the remnant of life in their old bodies to their advantage to create more Negators. Thus the wisp with their newly warped views decided they would fight back literally from the inside by taking over different creatures and devices to fight back and reclaim their home. The wisps then dubbed themselves the Earthen Infiltrator and vowed to destroy the Negator, and thus anything that looks like one.
It's not too late. Anyone can pretty much join anytime as long as they provide a logical explanation of their archetype's presence on the DP world.

And yeah, IC dialogue its not needed, but they are certainly welcomed.

Will update the OP with a link to the Deletor Project.

i want to submit Continuum Shift for the Lore
Humans has been something important in the evolution of the earth.

They have good relationships with all the Living creature in the world and where very well known because they are the protectors of the whole planet.

they have a very Special and Secret Elite Force between the whole Army, they were only called when the problems go out of hands.

This Special Elite Force have a name: "Continuum Shift"

They were strictly trained and tested every day just to get ready against any problem, solving them with ease and the fastest they can, of course providing security to the people of the world.

One day, the "Negators" came to the world.

This was the mission for the Special Army: Investigate and take the control of the situation.

When they arrived to the place the "Negators" where, an ambush was already prepared for them, and the Elite Force had to retreat.

With their pride on the floor, they swore to take revenge of those monsters for each of their companions that died.

Thats how the war between the "Continuum Shift" and the "Negators" start...

Looking at my stuff, given that the members all have varied Attributes, it may be difficult to decide what faction they'd go into for the purposes of this story.

Otherwise, like the backstory says, they likely don't get involved with the DP conflicts unless it involves the safety of their own kind.

---

I MIGHT add another Archetype that could feasibly tie into it, but most of my stuff tends to be multi-Attribute anyway.
Who are the 'Chronometrics'?

[divider1]

To combat the threat of the Newarks, and more pressingly, the invasion force of Negators, some otheworldly beings have put forth their power to create a 'puppet' for the planet. This puppet, now known as 'Chronometric Maiden Maetel 01', is bestowed by her creators with the ability to freely jump through time and space by abusing the space-time distortion present on the planet since the appearance of the Negators. With her companions Ildona and Yuzu, Maetel is tasked to gather fallen heroes of the past, saviors of the future, as well as fighters from the present to fight back against the otherworldly invaders. These gathering of heroes are what makes up the small group of outsiders known as 'Chronometric'. Fight puppets with puppets, so they say...

“What is this place, miss Maetel?”

Scouting around at a seemingly empty forest garden is a trio of girls, one of which looking significantly older than the other two. This trio, Maetel, Ildona, and Yuzu, are ‘visitors’ looking over the remnants of the first battle in the war, the deserted grounds that once were the proud shrine of the Mikos. Now it is all in shambles, with not a single soul left in sight.

The tallest one of the group, Maetel, looked deeply saddened at the sight before her, contrast to her younger companions, who both looked around with deeply curious eyes.

“The site of the first battle... The ‘Miko Shrine’. Looks like this one is useless, too. I read about this... The shrine maidens left shortly after the battle, lost without a cause as their leader had been Deleted from history completely. They were approached by a dragon, one who dwells within the confines of ‘hell’.”

Maetel continued her monolgue, Ildona and Yuzu dropping what they were doing to listen to their leader intently. As beings from neither the past, present, nor future, the Chronometric Trio, but especially Maetel, has the ability to access different points in time, but only those that has been marked with the arrival of the Negators.

Their purpose of time jumping is simple. Save as many as possible from being Deleted, and turn them into weapons to fight the Negators in the present. Failing that, the presence of these supposed-to-be Delted beings alone should be enough to help the now fallen clans get back up.

However, it seems things aren’t so simple. What Maetel, nor her creators, have accounted for is that Deleting seems to completely remove that monster’s existence from any point in time. Even Time Travel is useless against a power like that.

[divider1]

“Ildona, Yuzu.”

“Yes, mistress?”

“Prepare the B.I.S*. We’re leaving for the next one.”

“At your leisure!”

*Boundary Interface System

Maetel’s sad tone was replied with an odd enthusiasm, an emotion lacking in presence ever since the invasion started. Following her orders, the silver-haired Ildona and her blonde younger sister Yuzu sprang into action and started muttering spells, spells which created a large glowing orange gear on the ground they’re standing on.

The earth rumbled, and a rift in space can clearly be seen as a large glowing ball, about the size of a Telephone Box suddenly materialized before the group. From the outside, it resembles the sealed form of an ancient forgotten god of another realm, but is much smaller, and has large glowing orbs and exhaust ports all over its golden exterior.

With a sigh, she opened the ball as if it is an actual telephone box, revealing a much, much larger room in the interior. A colossal kraftswerk of gears, cogs, general machinery, as well as advanced alien tech, most striking of all is the several-meter tall pylon generating pink electricity standing at the very middle, surrounded all over by consoles, computers and cogs. It was an oddly surreal atmosphere, combining technology as advanced as those used by the Newarks, but bearing the shape and overall design aesthetic of old analog cogs and gears.

A dejected Maetel walked over the main console and slumped back on an oddly out-of-place brown sofa, as a complicated-looking map appeared before her. With lines going all over the place as well as endless amounts of branches, it’s obvious this is not a map of where to go, but rather when to go.

[divider1]

It’s not as if all the Chronometric’s missions have ended in failure. The various individuals kept in various chambers within the massive confines of the B.I.S are proof of that. ‘Meteoassault’ and ‘Ruinassault’, both are formerly ‘Assault Dragon’, stolen from their timeline in the distant past by Maetel and brought to the present as machines of war against the Negators. ‘Mitchie’, ‘Ezel’, ‘Fizul’, too, are all proof of their success.

However, they all share one thing in common: They were not a target to be Deleted. To save the targets would mean a new glimmer of hope for all parties involved. Some sort of proof that the Negators’s “Delete End” is not, in fact, the end.

Just as she was ready to return to her home, a small blip popped up on her map that piqued Maetel’s interest.

“Hm...? This is...”

“There appears to be a Negator appearance right about... Here, mistress.”

“I know, I know. I need to check the date for it.”

Silence filled the room. Maetel’s gaze suddenly became a lot more focused. Yuzu was confused as to whatever her mistress is very excited about. Ildona was busy making tea for the three of them.

“Can’t be... There’s not supposed to be a battle today!”

Maetel leapt off the comfort of her sofa and started opening the archive of the date she selected. The blip on that map showed a battle that took place in what is the closest approximation of “Today” in a place that exists outside the confines of time. But... It can’t be.

There’s no way her memory banks are wrong, definitely not. Her creators preached perfection above anything else. Could it be that the present changed thanks to their interference? The battle that was not supposed to happen, but it did. The archives of that date started overloading the computer with a seemingly neverending river of data and numbers, all updating in real time. At that point, there’s no mistaking it. The past, or rather, present, really did change. For whatever reason.

“There’s still time! Yuzu, Ildona! Seal off the B.I.S and make preparations to leap!”

“The date, miss?”

“Now. Teleport us to this coordinate, in this very moment.”

Ildona placed down her tea tray and immediately diverted her attention to a massive computer on one end of the pink energy pylon, with Yuzu manning the computer opposite to her. Maetel strapped herself to the captain’s chair as the floating ball transcended time and space, appearing right in the middle of a battlefield. A fight between Negators, and a clan, but most importantly, a clan with a target for Deletion, but hasn’t been reached yet. If Maetel can reach them before the invaders can, there might yet be hope of fighting back.

“There’s still yet hope within this battle...”

The Members of....:

A think tank of birds who's sole purpose is to scavenge for knowledge around the world. Each going to a different side of the world observing but not intervening. They will be in charge of writing things down in the history books but as such they like to remain objective and non-participatory in these whole war based affairs. But that is not the train of thought that all members of the think tank share. To discuss affairs they bring this up in the board meeting.

[spoiler: Short Story: Board Meeting]

"We shall bring this meeting of the Members to order. I, Member of the Cauldron, shall preside over this meeting. I feel it is prudent for us to skip straight to the new business." Everyone started to nod their heads in agreement as they wanted to discuss the war earnestly. "Alright then, it seems that war has come to our fair world. These invaders seem to be attacking the world as a whole. The question is now do we want to intervene and help fight with other clans against these invaders? One of the members in the distance raised their hand. The chair recognize the Member of the Murder.

It is important to recognize that death and murder happen everyday, we are here to simply record and observe. It would be foolish for us to actually intervene just because this threat is more massive than something we've ever seen. The crow said calmly.

I have never heard such cowardice in my life! Exclaimed a member of the council who slammed his pike on the table. The Council has not officially recognized the Member of the Nye yet! Raptor exclaimed. No, let him speak. Replied the crow as he rolled his eyes and sighed. Raptor sighed as he too knew about the pheasants boastfulness. Tolerate me if you must but we should be ashamed of ourselves for even entertaining this line of thought. Standing by as we life as we know it become twisted and dismantled. Like I said we have seen many a nation fall and have many civilizations die...why is this any different?

As Pheasant prepared to raise his arm and commit an act of violence another member of the council raised their hand. The council recognizes the Member of the Flight. The woman whose light shined bright looked at all of the council members. Before we have seen tragedies, but this is something that effects us on a global scale. Yes we stand by and watch the world solve its own problems, but to stand by and watch as the world's enemy comes forth we cannot pretend that we are no longer citizens of the world. Pheasant nodded in agreement. Raptor turned his head and spoke. Very well put, the council shall now recognize the Member of Parliament. Owl was sipping on a cup of tea and she looked at Dove. I agree we are citizens of the world and we do have a right to fight when it is threatened. Of course, I personally don't see any reason to go. WHAT! Pheasant exclaimed. Look I get it. I personally just don't understand why it is worth the manpower and possible casualties too all of our respective clans when we can not go to war and NOT lose lives. How are you even able to look in the mirror! That level of fear is what will hold us back and keep us in the shadows never being a part of history. Our job is not to be a part of history as it is to record it. We are not meant to fade into the darkness like you've become accustomed to. Yes, but dying in massive slaughter does not sound like a particularly pleasant job either.

I see that it looks like we have come to a tie. In that sense, what do you have to say as the deciding opinion senior most member of the council Member of the Gaggle. All four of the other council members looked in the distance to the wise old Goose who was on the other end of the table. It is true that we have to acknowledge our actual role in history and sometimes that means we avoid the spotlight and what tragedies that brings. Owl and Crow nodded as they thought this was going to go in their favor. However, we cannot simply sit by as the definition of history is about to be destroyed. Navies are forming in the seas, mech powered militia's are forming elsewhere. We will defend history. We are going to war. Owl and Crow rolled their eyes while Pheasant and Dove clapped their hands. War were declared.
This seems interesting.

Are we going to have any restrictions on the archetypes we introduce? How about some sort of continuity?

In the Duel terminal storyline, we have an intial setting invaded by outside forces, leading to the logical appearance of 'corrupted' versions of the initial races, and 'hybrid' archetypes of the remaining races.

If we have a free-for-all acceptance, we'll quickly lose any sense of a storyline, in my opinion.

Alright, this is the DP storyline overview for the archetype Syntheticals:
What are the “Syntheticals?”

                                                                                                                                                img_1221244306526_3731.jpg
The Syntheticals are a breed of hyper-intelligent dragons that were raised in an isolated Solar System, which the Negators nicknamed “Excess”, referring to the planet’s wealth of natural resources. Each plain of land is split between the four major elements: Water, Wind, Earth, and Fire. These elements were retained in their purest states, before the invasion of the Negators. Each faction of the lands was controlled by the Grand Dragons, whom were all controlled under the Tier Dragon which controlled both the Darkness and the Light within this space, forming an unusual harmony of all elements. The planet was stumbled upon the crossfire of the war-ridden Light and Dark factions, and due to this, became a battleground for each side attempting to horde the resources. The Grand Dragons attempted to ward off the danger, yet sadly, could not combat the highly refined and weaponized threats, and were killed off before becoming corrupted. The children of these Grand Dragons hid within the core of the planet, hibernating away from the imposing threats conquering their planet… all except 1. This young dragon was the offspring of the Darkness and the Light, raised by the Tier Dragon, and a mutt that was highly desired by the Negators, for its unique abilities to discern the locations of both Light and Dark entities in a given area. After successfully conquering the planet "Excess", the Negators corrupted and trained this young offspring to bend to their whim, falling prey to the Negator’s sickening conquests. Yet, it still stayed conscious, desiring the company of its friends, tripping over a grey and bleak area as the young dragon attempted to stay pure to return to her former state. Until the day has come, the remaining young dragons will rest in the womb of their planet, synthesizing with the unnatural elements spewed across the industrialization of its surface, and evolving to combat this interstellar threat known as the Negators.

For now, Newarks/Negators appear to be the Evilswarm (or whatever the initial DT antagonists were).

But yeah, we more/less need a storyline, otherwise things get out of hand.

Hence why the backstories are rather helpful.

Original DT "antagonists" were actually the Worms, which led to the creation of the Allies of Justice by the other tribes.

This is just my personal suggestion:

-How about we all brainstorm and pitch in to define a plot skeleton for the beginning, end and main events of this war first?

Just throwing down idea here, how about:

-100,000 years have passed since the Duel Terminal storyline. Darkness has been mostly eliminated, Light has lots its supremacy and the four elements have fused together into a harmonious group.

-The Negators are descendants of the original Worms, having evolved from all those who did not leave for the invasion, such as mechanical servants and pets. They are now technologic wyrms.

-The Negators discover the resource-rich DT/DP world. They mount an invasion force after deeming the elemental inhabitants weak and peaceful.

-The invasion force consists of Dark-attribute wyrms with across-the-board monster effect negation. They are however subpar in 'vanilla' combat.

-The elementals suffer great losses, having been unaccustomed to war for thousands of years.

-The elementals rapidly split into two groups: let's call them Angry and Calm for now. The Angry are Fire-attribute monsters (Beasts, Beast-Warriors, Fish, ect.) that give into their natural rage to transform themselves into fighting weapons so that they can fight the Negators. They are very good in the battle phase and have high 'vanilla stats'. Basically, anti-Negators. The Calm try to preserve their peaceful ways by arming themselves with technology that neutralizes the Negators. They are Machine and Spellcaster-type monsters of mostly Light attribute. They are heavily dependent on Spells.

-The Negators are defeated.

-There is a schism between the Angry and Calm, and soon, they start fighting each other over the land left unclaimed by all those that died. The Angry start to win by acquiring anti-spell technology. This introduces Fire-type Machines with S/T removal. The Calm try to counter this with Psychic-type monsters that can calm down the Angry are redirect their rage with control-switching and defense-position effects.

-The Wyrms in the Void learn of the first wave's defeat. The pool all their resources into Wave 2, composed of their finest Newark warriors. These are evil Light-type warriors. They have the ability to summon defeated monsters from the grave as their own, as well as quickly special summon new warriors from the deck.

-The Angry and Calm detect the second invasion. The agree on a truce and join forces to fight the invaders one last time.

-The Newarks land and face the newly formed Army. The Army has all elements and all monster types. It is divided into 'Minions' which are good at battle, and 'Masters' which can summon and protect the Minions.

-The Newarks are ultimately defeated. However, the Army splits up into factions once again and eternal war returns to the DT/DP planet.

From this, I want to take the major factions, and invite players to create an archetype of 15 cards following the general theme. These cards, in appropriate duplicates, along with a few classic staples such as Mystical Space Typhoon and Mirror force, form an Archetype deck.

Negator/Angry/Calm/Newarks/Army. That's already 75 cards. With balancing and creative input, we've got several weeks on deckbuilding ahead of us. There's lots of creative freedom, but the 'thematic restrictions' are supposed to overwhelm the 'I do it my way' tendency of card creators and the generalist/overpowered decks that result from it

With this method, we cater to everybody, while still fitting a maximum number of people in.

Those than can handle the creative assignment that is to design a thematic Archetype can contribute to the storyline decks. Those who with for more freedom can create faction decks for the post-war period. However, the prestige of pulling off a balanced set of cards that manage to have a theme and flavor that fits the storyline should attract more people into following the guidelines rather than doing whatever they want.

After the storyline decks are finished, we'll recreate the major battles of the storylines using only Archetype decks. Those who dislike them can use their own Faction decks.

After we've had the tourneys, we move onto Hybrid decks, basically a pseudo-real life yugioh world where the Archetypes are booster packs. We can continue releasing expansions and so on for prolonging the storyline's usefulness.

The major advantage of this set-up is that it does away with a free-for-all 'bring your own drinks to the party' feeling to this project and promotes directed creativity. It allows card designers to start doing something without having to fudge explanations about how their personal deck fits in, then have someone come after clean up the mess and tie up the loose ends.

Those who are proficient in fanfiction and roleplay can fill in the lore for the storyline with ease, since they have a plot skeleton that can guide their efforts. They can deviate in their own stories as long as the overarching plot points aren't changed.

What do you think?

It's just a rough sketch, and whether not it is in the DT world, even after 100k years later, changes absolutely zero.

Not when you're already directly referencing the Worms and other parts of the DT lore, which actually changes quite a bit in the plot and backstories.
