Huh, I had forgotten I had gotten the Cameruptite, and I check it to find it has the square erase ability for 2 taps..., nice.

EDIT: By the way, does anyone else feel like the normal Meowth stage now has patterns to it? And that it's even easier for combos to appear? Cause it sure feels that way to me.

Okay, I FINALLY got around to finishing up the last S Ranks I needed. For this past week or so, I've pretty much not played much, because I got burned out after grinding tons of coins, only really devoting time to play for special stages (Eevee, Meowth, Victini) or new Pokemon stages (like Archeops, etc), as well as Escalation Battles (I stopped after stage 100 of Kyurem). I had assembled like 75k coins and didn't really want to tackle Mothim and M-Metagross' S Ranks.

But now that those are out of the way, I'm all caught up on Main and Expert stages (caught Mantine), still have about 40k coins, and I'm solidly in the second tier of M-Abomasnow (just shy of 80k, but that was a super lucky run, and I'd need over 80k to be in the top tier. I literally fell short by like 1000 pts, but I didn't expect to beat it anyway), so I'm content that I'll almost definitely get 2 Speedup/RML unless tons of people beat my score in the next 9 hours (not likely at all).

So I guess I'll be going back to casual coin grinding again unless they give us a lot of new content tonight.

I haven't noticed if regular Meowth has patterns now, too. I can very consistently get 330 coins per run (I never aim for 530 unless it just happens to work out), but I don't think it's a pattern as much as I'm so used to always going for 330 that it's easy for me to do.

I've been grinding for the 530 a lot more often, since it's actually not that hard to do. The only problem is the stage's compulsion to make a round ending combo in one move. I have literally made 1 move, and it comboed itself to death. It's really funking annoying how often combos screw you over.

As for Kyurem, I went for 150 for the Speedup, as I'm hoarding as many as I can get for when I get M-Tyranitar. I have 5 right now and if I don't get bumped out M-Abomasnow will give me 2 more.

Bring Zekrom and Kyurem for B-Kyurem. Also, I sadly got bumped down to rank 2000. It funking baffles me how some people CONSISTANTLY get six digit scores with these Mega Events.

They're probably the REALLY good players, and probably invest a bit of money on Jewels and such to give them further advantages when it comes to hearts, or grinding experience (if you've got Jewels to burn, Victini, Victini, Victini). Or at least are more willing to grind the heavier Exp stages again and again. I simply don't have the patience for that myself. Odds are, they're the players that understand the mechanics to ludicrous extents, or use that one Shuffle program that helps determine the best move.

But honestly, my hunch is that they're simply the best players. Usually the team lineup of the guys with the super high scores include Pokemon that are mediocre unless they're fully RMLed, and this usually seems deliberate on the part of the company, too, as they tend to "reintroduce" an older Pokemon that is now RML compatible, and will feature as a disruption in an M-Competition, the week before the competition. Remember the Beedrill M-Competition? I got in the top 300 by being lucky and by devoting a bunch of RMLs, Skill Boosters, and M-Speedups into the Pokemon considered the best for the competition, and I'm probably nowhere near as savvy or devoted to the game as the top players, nor am I willing to invest a lot of time into trying to grind for Speedups and RMLs.

It's probably not THAT hard to score super high if you've got all the bling (RMLs, Speedups, etc) and you're a REALLY good player. I usually see the same names, so pretty confident on that.

In some of the M-Competitions, the "best" teams have included Megas that are REALLY hard to use well, like Tyranitar. The people who can wield Tyranitar skillfully are WAY above me there. Admittedly, part of Tyranitar/Beedrill being OP was due to a bug where matching M-Tyranitar/Beedrill prevented the disruption counter from decreasing, but that doesn't change the fact that the "Tap spots" Megas are very skill-based.

In other news, I finished the Safari. Spent a Jewel because I failed to beat the Holiday Pikachu, and I was already so bored of the safari that I'd sacrifice a heart if it wasn't the Snover stage (easy 600 coins) or Pikachu. As a result of having more moves left over than the stage actually gives you, its catch rate was comically high. And yet, still required a Great Ball. I feel poor again, but I've got nothing else to pursue this week, so coin grinding away!

Yea, I've more or less have written off getting super high scores in the competitions unless it involves Pokemon I've already maxed out. Otherwise I'm fighting a losing battle. So long as I get the third tier rewards I'm pretty happy.

As for the safari I ran into Pikachu three times, two of those in a row because probability doesn't apply to me it would seem. I've finished it up and have gone back to coin grinding since we are likely to have a big update coming to go with the holiday season.

While this is true, I mean, M-TTar wasn't even used by the top people in Europe for M-Abomasnow. Their teams were: M-Rayquaza, Archeops, Tyrantrum, and Machamp (probably swapped to Risk Taker).

Yeah, T-Tar wasn't big in NA, either. M-Rayquaza was simply much better because Abomasnow was making Archeops AND Tyrantrum disruptions. T-Tar's ability to do pseudo-board wipes was completely unneeded, and M-Ray would make combos even easier than the disruptions already were.

I think I used M-Aero, though, because of all the Rocks and Blocks. But if my fossils were maxed (Neither were even at 10, and Tyrantrum I think could be up to 20(?)), my score probably would have been even HIGHER on a good run.

Yeah, this Safari was meh. None of the Pokes are really that good or even interesting, the stages other than Snover's easy 600 coins is worth nothing once you've caught the Poke...seriously, when I just needed Pikachu, I started a stage, and promptly quit if it wasn't Snover or Pikachu. It wasn't worth the time for 30 coins, especially since some of the stages combo for a stupidly long time.

I played them through since I was using it as a chance to get little bits of EXP on some Pokemon.

Delibird got ridiculously harder after I caught him though.

He drops some really great stuff though making it worth it. Just nice that once you catch him moves left isn't as important.

Alright, tried Delibird again with an Attack Up. I got a Mega Speedup and a Mega Start from it. So my record is: Fail to catch, Catch, Fail, Speedup.

I gotta say, it's great to have gold again. My wallet took a major hit during that period of constant escalations and Mega Fights, so it's nice that there's more downtime between them to recuperate. Keldeo and Giratina hit me especially hard during that time.

EDIT: funk YOU PIKACHU! Okay, while I know a 26% chance isn't high odds on a Great Ball, it's a jabroni funking move to make me waste THREE of the funking things, and then run off like the little sheet it is.

So, you guys were right about this update being larger. Looks like 30 new main stages, 1 new Expert stage, a Rayquaza competition where the top tier prize is FIVE M-Speedups and RMLs, and then goes down from there, and stuff like that.

I actually did the Rayquaza competition a bit yesterday, got about place 241 at the time, which put me in top tier (top 300). I don't expect to remain there, but I'll check on that in a few days.

I'm also almost completely broke and need to grind coins again.

So I got bumped down a little, but I did Ray again and secured the 300th spot, earning me 4 Speedups and Raise Max Levels. Also heads up with the Mew Escalation, as, if you don't already know, it can apparently get angry and grant at least 7 extra levels, as mine just did.

...funk YOU LANDORUS-T! WHAT funking RIGHT DO YOU HAVE TO DICK ME OUT OF 4 GREAT BALLS ALL ON A 50% CHANCE AND THEN RUNNING YOU jabroni! You have no funking right to dick me out of, essentially, 13400 gold.

EDIT: Caught the jabroni, though he DID NOT funking deserve to have 5 great balls used on him. He was in no ways worth wasting almost 20k gold on to just catch him at reasonable funking chances. A 50% chance SHOULD NOT fail 4 times in a row.

Haha, 7. Such a silly number.

Try 15. I beat stage 50, it got mad and jumped FIFTEEN levels. I've also seen a jump of up to 6, but the MASSIVE jump of 15 caught me by surprise.

I also got 4 Speedups/RMLs from the Ray. :D

And yeah, I had to spend a bit of bank on the Tornadus-T, not quite as bad as you, but more than I'd have liked. Took 2 Great Balls with a 77% chance (Super Capture).

I know I got a +6 rage from Mew after my FIRST battle. Pretty sure the highest I've seen since was +9.

I only got the +2 tier for the Ray competition. I'm terrible at timed battles and really didn't want to spend more after my first go.

Speaking of, used the free Attack Up on Tornadus-T and needed two Great Balls. Not that bad. I'm honestly trying to watch how much gold I used since I want to get back to 70K before I go and do more main stages.

Winking Pokemon are back and I need to make sure I don't miss which ever one I missed last time they came around. Going to be so tilted if I do since its the only thing I'm missing.
