evilfusion
Personally, I kind of like they're making alternate forms that not only have a different ability, but often a different Type, too. But...then we also get alternate forms that are nearly worthless, because the original Pokemon was nearly worthless. Like say...the 5 different versions of Pikachu. Uh...Pikachu stopped being remotely good by like Stage 30. Doesn't matter how many variations you give us, it's still not useful.
The Warden
Yeah, I honestly don't think Spooky M-Gengar can even compare to other anti-fairy megas really. I mean, he doesn't even compare to normal M-Gengar tbh.
evilfusion
Been working on the Escalation Battle, mostly. Been doing really well, using M-Gengar, both Hoopa, and Yveltal. Happened to look up what's to come in the later stages. Seems pretty normal up to a point, certain stage levels getting a significant HP spike (like...26000 HP area). Still, not too ridiculous, I guess. Obvious boss stages are obvious boss stages. Actually, wait, to really hammer this point home, I want to type out what they put for the obvious boss stages. Stage 100 - 26,065 HPStage 150 - 28,000 HPStage 200 - 287,000 HP. Uh...WHAT?! Either that's a typo, or Stage 200 is the most ludicrously hardcore stage I've ever heard of in this game. Wait, wait... Stage 250 - 49,000 (oh, that's more reasonable, maybe 200 is a typo, and supposed to be 28,700 or something. Stage 300 - 239,500 HP WHAT?! First off, that's smaller than Stage 200's HP value. Secondly, such a bizarre number makes it even LESS likely to be a typo. I want to get to stage 200 just to confirm with my own eyes how ludicrous this HP cap is. The Warden
...huh. I'm almost at level 50 right now, but, I imagine that Stage 200 probably has a fair few number of moves, or some kind of gimmick to it. No way would it have 287,000 HP and be a normal stage. evilfusion
Well, from my vague understanding, you're definitely EXPECTED to use full items. Like Complexity -1, Attack Power+, etc. But even then...you'd need to have a ludicrously high number of combos and I'm not even sure what sort of disruptions might be involved. The Warden
Knowing the makers of this game... triple disruptions each activation that put unbreakable blocks covered in barriers for the entire top 2 rows, and then turning all of your Hoopa and Yveltal into Eevee. EDIT: Just beat level 50. I gotta say, it was nice not needing items to beat it this time. Also, can I just say that I am BEYOND glad that Hoopa (Confined) exists as it does. Barrier Bash+ is a god damn godsend, even if the 3 match is a 50% chance to activate that acts like it's a 30% chance.

Also really fond of Hoopa Unbound and Risk Taker in general. It can do like 1300 damage on some activations, and it's only Skill Level 2.
The Warden
Maybe it's just me, but these days it really doesn't feel like Giratina's Power of 4+ doesn't activate nearly as often as it should for an 80% chance. There's something really wrong when 4 attempts at it only succeeds once.
evilfusion
Beat Stage 150 of the Escalation Battle. I don't consider 175's reward of an Exp Booster M worthwhile, and I consider 200's HP cap to be so absurd and expensive as to not even bother, so I'm done with that. I've done of a run of the M-Banette stage. Got 85K, so I was in the top 300, but I expected to be bumped out (and I was, currently 309), so most likely, I'll get 2x Speedup/RML. evilfusion
I used M-Absol, Yveltal, Hoopa-Unbound, and Zoroark (Level 13). So a pure Dark team with Zoroark's Sinister Power. The Stage makes Zoroark disruptions. I got a bit lucky with some of the combos, but I think the team as a whole is very solid for the stage. The Warden
I just looked up Sinister Power's activation requirements. 15% on a 3 mtch, 35% of 4, and 60% on 5. Early power-up moves are funking god awful. Pyre is 100% by a 4 match.

Early power-up moves are funking god awful. Pyre is 100% by a 4 match. I think that was the activation requirement prior to Skill Levels being introduced. Because even at Level 1 SL, the rates should be 15%, 40%, 80%, according to the Pokemon Shuffle Wiki. But my Zoroark is SL 3, making its rate more along the lines of 40%, 65%, 100%. And yes, Pyre is better for activation rates. But Pyre boosts by 1.2x. Sinister Power boosts by 1.5x. With 3 RML, Zoroark's max base power is 99, and it's already produced via disruptions that make it a cinch to combo and activate. Either way, you're going to want to use Zoroark for the battle. Flame Dragon
I was able to get a score of 80K vs. Mega Banette despite using an Al at level 9 and a Zoroark at level 7 with no skill boosters. Man, I can only imagine how high my score would have been if Zoroark had been maxed and at level 3.
The Warden
You used M-kazam? Also, do you guys realize how funking lucky you are. I try to set up combos and the best I got was 8... WITHOUT the Sinister Power boost.
Flame Dragon
The start of the board can be pretty annoying and after the delay goes away you have a massive board disruption that will eat a few moves to chew through. It worked out pretty well for me. I ran super good, especially at the end when the disruptions kept generating more combos.
Flame Dragon
I just missed the double reward finishing in the 1600s. Not gonna lie, that really kind of sucks. O well, new update. First more winking Pokemon. Because if you missed the first batch hahaha screw you. (seriously tilting that I'm missing ONE Pokemon now) Manaphy, Hitmontop, and Machamp are all special Pokemon you can face. Speaking of special Pokemon, Sunkern and its Evo have been added to the Safari. More raise max level and skill swap compatible Pokemon have been added. And more main stages. The Warden
I swear, these practically weekly updates are hell on my gold supply. I can barely grind beyond 20k before something(s) come along to drain me all over again.
Flame Dragon
I've found Sharpedo and Sunflora twice before I found Sunkern once. Part of me wanted to just use the Great Ball and end the safari, but looking at the odds of finding it I'm like, "no, thats a waste". Lets see how long it takes for it to show up a second time. The Warden
I've seen both a bunch of times, though I've seen Sharpedo once. My cash is too low to justify a Great Ball, though I have failed catching Sunken soooooo many times now. I got Sunflora, but Sunkern is being such a pain. Likewise. I actually spent a JEWEL (worth it. I had purchased a small batch of them because I ran out last week, I tend to spend 1 for the Sunday Meowth, and you get 6 bonus gems if you buy Jewels) because I failed to beat Sunkern, and I was just bored of the Safari, especially with new main stages and such to make better use of my hearts and gold. If the Exp Booster drop rate didn't suck so much, I wouldn't have cared. But I'd get 1 Exp Booster S once every three hearts, it seemed. And Exp Booster S are meh as hell in low quantities. I've also caught and S Ranked all the main stages up to...480? Shiftry.
The Warden
I've gotten two Ms, an L, and a bunch of Ss so far. But no Sunkern. EDIT: Make that 2 Ls, and what may have been 3-4 Ms instead of 2.
The Warden
Y'know, I really WISH the game was as earnest to make combos in the normal stages as it does in the normal Meowth stage, cause I am getting fracking fed up with trying to line the coins up, and the stage makes a billion combos, ending the stage instantly. UGH!
The Warden
So I'm speeding through the cards now, and funk me if I forgot how much an unbearable slog the post M-Mewtwo Y levels are. A Timburr SHOULD NOT have that much HP.
Flame Dragon
So, weekend Meowth as been changed to have a set pattern at the start. Not sure if it was because of that or because I ran SUPER good but I got 10700 today.
