Zextra
People in Europe were just too good. I got 62k and was still only eligible for 1 of each candy.62k on the mobile scale would have gotten 2 of each, I believe. I was able to score about 93k; probably my best showing in a competition yet. Flame Dragon
Yea, I only got into the low 60k so only got 1 of each. Hopefully I'll do better with the next competition. I've caught everything so I'm just grinding for money atm (at 66K) and getting some extra experience on some of the now useful Pokemon. Think I'll start on the new mission cards soon. The Warden
I'm very behind right now, especially on mission cards. Thankfully doing the M-Beedrill stage got me the 60k or more score, but the combos of 120+ is a pain.
evilfusion
So I noticed that Electivire's repeat and the Thundurus Therian stages both recommend using M-Aero (which is neutral). M-Alakazam is objectively better for those stages. It's also neutral, has the same Mega effect, has 10 more base power, only needs 3 Mega Speedups compared to Aero's 7, and even without Speedups, M-Evolves faster. (Alakazam takes 18 icons, Aero takes 23. When Max Candied, Alakazam takes 15, Aero takes 16). I'm somewhat hoping to grind Electivire for a while in the likely fruitless effort to get some more RMLs (plus boosting Electivire's skill can't hurt too much). I'm debating whether to invest any RMLs into Electivire, and that decision becomes easier if I successfully grind a few.
Flame Dragon
I'm so sad I maxed out Aero. I didn't know exactly how the candies works when I did it, but looking at it now I just see 7 that I burnt for no reason. Al hasn't helped. Also, speaking of candies, I'm seeing people say a maxed Beedrill is nuts since it evolves in only 1 match. I didn't even notice that Electivire can use RML. I think the RML Pokemon are going to end up playing a pretty big role in competitions since you gain so much extra points from using them. That is one of the reasons I didn't try harder with Beedrill, I don't have either Slowbro or Mew maxed, let alone the RMLs for them. Personally, I'd rather max out a few other Pokemon before I turn my sights to Electivire.
The Warden
I've raised my Electivire to 10 already myself, as He's pretty useful at times. He probably got the RML cap with this update, because of M-Pidgeot. Also, I've come to really like M-Alakazam. He pretty much helped me trash Drapion. Flame Dragon
Mego Aero is very good and since Al is strictly better (Rick Taker is even a good ability if you level it twice) I'm not shocked Al is so good.
The Warden
Actually, I used a Skill Swapper on my Aero to give him Swap++. It's been very handy, and I should use it while grinding Electivire skill boosters. Speaking of whom, I love how this game deliberately tries to piss you off. In a run where I was getting absolutely no Alakazam icons, (seriously, I mega evolved on the second-last move,) the jabroni dropped a rare booster when the game knew I had 0 chance of winning. Really, funk this spiteful game sometimes.
evilfusion
I've also boosted Aero to Swap++, but that's because I found Cloud Clear mediocre. Electivire got RML enabled a while back, actually, when a bunch of others got it. Mine is already at Lvl 10, because Electric actually has a surprisingly mediocre pool, either in ability or in base power, so he might actually be worth bumping up. I've actually never gotten Tyranitar OR Beedrill to Mega Evolve, and the description is vague. I literally have no idea what they do.

Between Raikou, Magnezone, Zekrom, and Ampharos I've found electric's pool to be fine. They stop time for like 3 seconds and you can pick spots to destroy panels around where you touch. It is actually a REALLY powerful ability.
The Warden
Mmm. M-Beedrill only gets one tap per match, but their abilities destroy the square(s) you tapped, and all 8 surrounding squares too. I really need to catch up though, as I have yet to even fight M-Scizor.

Really, funk this spiteful game sometimes. Oh my god, this exact thing happened to me, too. I was having a terrible game, so he throws out a red shiny package when he's still got about 25% health left. If I was closer to winning, I'd at least consider using a Jewel to secure the RML, but since I wasn't, I sighed and quit. Decided to throw my Electivire 3 RML. May as well, since it may help me secure 2-3 more next week. Also, the Eevee Booster Stage is the only time I've ever gotten the red shiny packages. Weird thing is, I've gotten maybe 3 of them, and in quick succession of stage plays (which admittedly is what, once every week or two?). But I'd gone many times without seeing them. The Warden
I got a couple RMLs from Xerneas, and once got a 1k coin package from a pokemon of the day fight.
Flame Dragon
Frick. I totally forgot to get winking Squirtle. I'm not use to needing to do daily Pokemon since we rarely get new ones and I didn't check yesterday.
The Warden
Pity too, since he was SUPER easy. Also... SUCK IT ELECTIVIRE! I finally got a RML from him.
Flame Dragon
See, this is the second time I've done this, but last time the reran the event the following week. Not so this time. O well, it will come back around I hope.
evilfusion
I somewhat expect the winking Daily Pokemon to stick around for at least two weeks. I don't think the game has ever had something only around for a single day before cycling it out, with the worst offenders being those "one attempt a day for 4 days" specials. Electivire mocked me by giving me a decent run, dropping a red package, but still having me lose. I debated whether to spend the Jewel for about 15 seconds before just quitting. I could have gotten it, but I didn't want to spend the Jewel.
The Warden
I think it's "fun" how in some Electivire runs , your mega mon's symbols ONLY appear in the columns that get unbreakabled up.

And here I thought I was imagining that sort of pattern, of certain icons (random from the looks of it) only spawning (or rarely spawning) in those columns.
The Warden
Yeah, the columns tend to have set patterns for a while, until they run out and swap over. I'm pretty sure there's like, some pre-selected icons for like, 15 or so rows. It's something they do from time to time, and i'm pretty sure they do it in the Electivire stage. I mean, it's not uncommon for you to repeatedly get the same two alternating mons in a column. EDIT: *Violent eye twitch* AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! One more hit, one more funking hit, and I would have taken the jabroni down AND gotten a RML. I funking hate this game sometimes, I really do. evilfusion
Meanwhile, I had an excellent run. I got two Electivire Skill Boosters AND a RML. In a single run. And actually won. But it's still the only RML I actually got. Also, I changed up my lineup. While M-Alakazam is better for the most part, I switched back to M-Aero, because Swap++ is amazing here if it triggers. So...I traded in my Skill Booster Ms to bump its skill up to Level 3. Makes the whole thing more consistent (but it's still hard sometimes). I also am using Golurk for its Block Smash+ ability (which helps a bit), but Golurk's much lower base power (since I don't have the RMLs to spare for it) does hold it back. Golurk at Level 9 has only 78, as opposed to Garchomp and Landorus-T's 100 at Level 10.
The Warden
*Sighs* I tried my funking best, but I was a hair short of making it into the top 1000 for M-Pidgeot. I WOULD have, if not for M-Rayquaza, naturally being the jabroni that he is, deciding to erase the Pidgeotto and leaving behind the rocks which I had no matches to remove them. I WOULD have made it, if not for that jabroni ability naturally erasing the worst funking choice, despite there being 3 funking other support mons to choose from. I was 300 points off top 1000. If Rayquaza had erased ANYTHING else besides the Pidgeotto or Pidgey, I would have done it. And it pisses me the funk off that I fell short because of that bullshit. It was an awesome run, and the RNG had to funk me over.

Because I had mostly mediocre runs, and fell below the top 1400 (which would have given me 2x M-Speedup, 2 RML). I'm just going to get 1x of each and the M-Stone, but eh, I don't care that much. So unless your minimum criteria is MUCH worse, you should at least get the M-Stone. EDIT: Like, seriously, no matter what region you're in, if you're least in place 13000 or better, you get the M-Stone. Being robbed of a Speedup or RML is honestly not NEARLY as rage inducing as you're making it out to be. You're making it sound like you're not getting the M-Stone, which WOULD piss me off. Unless you're on Mobile and their criteria is retarded. Also, this sort of thing happened to me during the M-Beedrill competition, where if I had done a different move or gotten better luck with said move, my score would have been higher and jumped me up more. Wait...I still got 3x for that one. Never mind.
