evilfusion
No, I meant Tranquill. It seems to have a lower encounter rate than Unfezant. And the site I checked the encounter rates on said Tranquill has 6%. Double checked. Shellder = 30%Cloyster = 6%Pidove = 35%Tranquill = 6%Unfezant = 21%S. Magikarp = 1%S. Gyarados = 1%

evilfusion
Then it might be reversed. It's hard to tell, other than Pidove and Shellder are definitely common.
Flame Dragon
From my personal experience I've seen a ton more Tranquill than Unfezant.
evilfusion
Yeah, now that I've had a few more chances to play, either 6% is absurdly less rare than it should be, or Tranquill's rate is not that low. Whee, caught Cloyster. All I need now are the Shiny two. I noticed that Cloyster seems to give more Exp than most stages. It gave base 100 (200 for the crown icon). Pidove, Tranquill, and Shellder give 5/10. I didn't notice if Unfezant gives more Exp or not.
Pchi
Well, Safari completed! Now on to maximize Landorus-T's Skill.
evilfusion
WOOT! Caught the Shiny Gyarados. It was the most nail-biting capture attempt since forever, purely because of that stupid 1% encounter rate, and the knowledge I still have to beat those odds again to get its unevolved counterpart. I had more than 40k gold, so it's not like the Great Balls are expensive, it's just the knowledge that sometimes a Pokemon will flee after a failed Great Ball even if you can afford another one. Now to try to come across that shiny Magikarp again. I also don't even bother playing Pidove and Tranquill encounters anymore. I just quit the stage. I find that those stages simply aren't worth the time of playing for 30 coins, even at the cost of a heart. I just want to finish the Safari and be done with it. I only still do Shellder and Unfezant for the coins of actual value, and Cloyster for the extra Exp.
Flame Dragon
Yea, I think I'm going to start just quitting out of stages that don't give coins. I have over 90K money and most of my Pokemon are at Max now so playing those stage doesn't help me in anyway way. In other news still haven't seen Cloyster. REALLY weird since I've seen Unfezant a fair bit and they have the same appearance rate. I don't mind since I still need to get the Red Gyarados but I can't help but find it strange. Which is weird, because I've seen Cloyster like 6-7 times in the last day alone. Twice in a 5 heart session, too. But considering most of the encounters will be Pidove, Tranquill, and Shellder...it's not as weird as it should be. It'd be weirder if you kept running into the shinies. The Warden
I've seen everyone at least once now, but I still need Magikarp and Cloyster.

evilfusion
I encountered shiny Gyarados again. Whee... And then, finally, I encountered shiny Magikarp! And then failed to beat it, because Golden Magikarps take like 3 turns to clear out sufficiently. I threw that Jewel at the game so hard... Now I've captured the stupid shiny bastard, and I'm never touching that Safari again. Ugh.
The Warden
I checked out how to properly beat Shiny Magikarp, so now I'm just waiting to find it again. I've pretty much been dodging everything except Cloyster (for exp) and Unfezant (for gold).

Then again, I don't think I would have thought to look for that, since the whole goddamn 1% encounter rate.
The Warden
Well, you apparently take the E1 Magikarp, and plonk it at C5, which removes the vast majority of the middle, save for like, 4 Magikarp total. Check this video out. https://youtu.be/gDhiZrbcaz8?t=7m16s
Flame Dragon
New update and its a nice one. As we all knew, Mega Gyarados has arrived We also got Hitmonlee. (Think this is new) But more interestingly we got SkillSwapper. Think a Pokemon has bad abilities, change them. Full list [spoiler=Skill Swapper] Eevee - Eject+ Jolteon - Eject+ Leafeon - Eject+ Ampharos - Mega Boost, Paralysis Combo Rotom - Mega Boost+ Phanpy - Po4+ Donphan - Ground Forces Zoroark - Hitting Streak Chandelure - Po4+ Sableye - Swap+ Gengar - Spookify Cubone - Mega Boost+ Dedenne - Shock Attack Raikou - Barrier Bash+ Entei - Rock Break+ Suicune - Block Smash+ Mew - Block Smash+, Eject+, Barrier Bash+, Po4+ Pachirisu - Cheer Farfetch'd - Po4+ Druddigon - Risk Taker Chespin - Rock Break + Tangela - Constrict Tangrowth - Sleep Combo Celebi - Cheer Regirock - Rock Break+ Ho-Oh - Pyre Also, MORE MISSIONS
The Warden
Swapping Ho-oh's Power of 5+ to Pyre would actually eliminate the need to use Delphox in a Pyre team. That... that's pretty legit IMO. Same with the Legendary Dogs. EDIT: If anyone is doing the safari still, be sure to beat everything at least once. With the new data being added all wins have been reset, so you can re-obtain all your first wins from Pidove and the like.
evilfusion
Ooh, I like those options for Skill Swapper. Makes some mediocre things good. I think I'll use it right off the bat for Raikou, since Barrier Bash is something Electric Types lack, and the M-Gyarados uses Barriers and Raikou spam. (Seriously, only 1 Electric Type has Barrier Bash, 0 have Bash+) And Mew's options seem great, too.
Pchi
Hey, Genius Sorority, since you're giving us the opportunity to change the skills from our mon and increase their max base power, how about finally giving us our first Barrier Bash+ Poison and/or Steel mon? And while you're at it, let us raise Mawile's laughable 70 max BP a little more? Pretty please?
Zextra
So, apparently Mega Gyarados will be an Ampharos copy, while Shiny Mega Gyarados will erase 10 Mega Gyarados icons - so it's basically Mega Gengar. But, if maxed out (10 candies required for that), it'll mega evolve with 9 icons, which is faster than Gengar. Guess I know who to use my speedups on next... Gengar hits all, but with the decrease drop in Mega icons its likely to not get over 10 so it wouldn't be that an issue if that was the case. Sadly I still need to candy Ray so I'm not going to be able to work on Gyara for a while.
The Warden
Same, but it is good to know that both Guarados can use the Gyaradosite, thereby making it far more crucial to obtain. Thank god I got Shiny Gyarados first chance I got.
Flame Dragon
Agreed. Getting two stones for the price of one is super nice. Between the new missions, and having a bunch of old pokemon now worth leveling I have a reason to play a bunch again.
evilfusion
Both Gyarados can use the Mega Stone? Awesomeness. And Shiny Gyarados seems like it'll have the better Mega Effect? Double awesome.
The Warden
Kinda makes sense it would in hindsight, considering the degree of difficulty in finding the bastard. EDIT: Thanks to that tip, I've finally beaten Shiny Magikarp now that I found the sod after 3 rounds of Shiny Gyarados. I am finally done with the Safari now. I also now have my first level 15 pokemon, with my Charizard now having a max power of 105.
