evilfusion
Been making progress with my captures and S Ranks. I just opened up to Tyrantrum, with everything S Rank and captured up to (but not counting) Tyrunt. Weezing was an utter pain, but that was because I was stupid and ignored a 44% chance w/ Great Ball in the hopes of "saving money" for a better run. Then I realized I had already S Ranked the stage, meaning I had no reason to want to redo the stage. I've also captured Walrein (and Pory-Z previously, but I don't think I mentioned that) among the Expert Stages.
Flame Dragon
New week, new update. Luckily its pretty light since I'm still getting through the 50 stages. First, Darkrai and Machamp return. You get a Mega Speed Up from Darkrai at 50, so its worth it if you have time. As for new content, Kabutops has arrived. The Warden
Well, Kabutops managed to piss me off. The jabroni ran off on a 64% catch chance, and I had no coins for a Great Ball because M-Rayquaza.
evilfusion
Well, Kabutops managed to piss me off. The jabroni ran off on a 64% catch chance, and I had no coins for a Great Ball because M-Rayquaza. I was so scared of that happening to me. I had a 57% chance and no coins for a Great Ball. Thankfully, I got it. I've managed to S Rank and capture everything up to Tyrantrum now. Yay!
Flame Dragon
Kabutops was a pain for me. I was able to beat it without any power ups, but only had 0 seconds remaining. Went and used Attack Up only to forget Machamp since I just hit optimize again when I went back in. I passed with like 40 second left, got over 50% and lost the flip and figured the great ball would be cheaper then doing it again. I'm not hurting for money (I have 50K atm) but I still have like a dozen stages left, plus the expert stages so I'm going to grind for some more once I finish 340. Furret: +5 might be enough, but its close. If you don't want to risk it, use Mega Start with Ray. Golurk: Disruption Delay and +5 moves for the S rank. Recommend Mega Swampert. Kakuna: Doable with just +5 moves, but recommend Mega Start as well. Ursaring: Mega Start, Disruption Delay, and +5 moves with Mega Ray. Skorupi: Disruption Delay and +5 moves. Primeape: +5 moves should be enough. Bringing Primeape might make it easier too. Jynx: Recommend Dialga and Mega Blaze. With a lot of luck +5 moves should be enough. If not Mega Start should handle the last couple of extra moves you would need to drop. Krokorok: Puzzle. Very easy. Hard part is winning the 30%. I think I failed like 10 times already and am still trying to get him. Drapion: Disruption Delay and +5 moves. Exeggutor: At most you'll need +5. Bring Mega Blaziken and two other fire types. Krookodile: Disruption Delay and +5 moves with Mega Swamp. Mega Mewtwo X: Everything with Mewtwo Y Walrein: Catchable without power ups. Honchkrow: Catchable without power ups. Arcanine: Couldn't be without power ups. Like, for some reason I'm terrible at this stage so even a -1 Complexity barely helped. Not to mention it took THREE Great Balls. I'm now 100% tapped out. Going to need to spend a ton of time grinding vs. Meowth.
Flame Dragon
New week, new events. Charizard Y flies back in. Lord Helix has evolved. You should be able to take him down without any items. Just remember the electric rat.
evilfusion
I bet it feels good to be completely broke for once, huh? I managed to S Rank and capture everything up to Magnezone, which just needs capture, but I have the S. I also caught Honchkrow, which was unlocked around this time. Omastar was an utter pain. I used Pikachu and an Attack Power up, but even then, only beat it with like 4 moves left. Still caught it at a 25% chance, but ugh.

I've gotten REALLY good at grinding for money. Once I'm at 30 I'll do the Darkrai stuff and then resume the money grind. Having the huge cushion on money is nice. Honchkrow wasn't that bad. Again, the only one that gave me trouble was Arcanine and between the failed attempts and needing 3 great balls he ate through like 25K. I've already cleared the stage 4 times (even had 6 moves left on my first go) but am still going out it. The game seriously hates me and refuses to give me any easy catches. And it's this approach that is a mixture of baffling and impressive, with baffling taking precedence. You apparently can grind up a massive amount of money very quickly and easily. But you have a peculiar aversion to Great Balls? Sure, I don't bother with Great Balls when the percentage increase is pathetic, but if you had 6 moves left, a Great Ball would have given you over a 50% chance. I don't like using Great Balls unless the stage is annoying to beat. This is especially true since it was the first run I did best so I thought the stage wasn't that bad and figured I'd get it fast enough so that grinding at it would save more money then throwing the great ball and going back to Meowth. In actuality it was a bit harder then I thought it would be since while I won 4 of 6 tries last night, I failed 3 of the 4 tries I just did. All said I did just catch him, so on average I could have gotten 3000 coins with those 10 hearts so its about the same had I just used a great ball on the first try. evilfusion
Catching up slowly. Have currently S Ranked and caught everything up to Furret (but haven't beat Furret's stage yet).
Flame Dragon
Lets just hope they don't drop another batch of 50 stages on us tonight. I'm still rebuilding my coin count (only just now getting to 50K) and still have another level to clear before I get the Darkrai Mega Speed Up. I really hope they either wait another week/only do 10 stages. 40 and 50 were too many. Though I did like that a lot of them were more "fair" then when we'd get 10. The Warden
Christ these new safari mons have obnoxious amounts of health for things you fight with only three on your team. Bring rocks btw, as we're dealing with bugs, fires, and flying. But be sure to bring Amaura, as for some reason they appear on many of the boards. evilfusion
I took your advice about Amaura to great effect, so I've been using Kabutops (Barrier Bash+), Gigalith (Block Bash+) and Amaura. I've seen everything at least once except Houndour (weirdly), but only caught Pineco, Forretress, and Noctowl. UPDATE: I have caught everything except Houndour (still haven't seen) and Houndoom (saw once and failed to beat). Also, just caught Noivern, which was a pain, because I had to grind up 5500 coins (3000 for ATK power+ and 2500 for a Great Ball just in case, which I needed and caught with a 94%). Whee! Also, Noivern has Cloud Clear++. That's...awesome! Other than how clouds aren't used much, and I'm not sure how useful a Flying type will be against it, since most Cloud Disruption stages are Electric types. The Warden
Pineco is being a COLOSSAL funking pain in the ass for me, since Kabutops is being a gigantic dick and never using his ability unless it's a match of at least 4, and even then he doesn't clear away the 1 barrier I need funking cleared. And then I catch the little bastard. funking A does Pinca have WAAYYYY too much health.
evilfusion
And now I FINALLY got the Houndour line, so I'm done with the Safari. Both of them cost Great Balls, too.
The Warden
Aside from Noibat and Hondour, these mons have had way too much health for the few moves they let us fight in.
evilfusion
I haven't had that much problem. I agree, but it hasn't been a persistent issue ever since I switched to Amaura. Gigalith, Amaura, and Kabutops have worked extremely well and as 3 mon stages, the combos rack up unless barriers screw you over, hence the Kabutops. The Warden
I checked Serebii for stats. Apart from Hoothoot, Houndour, and Noibat, the others require you to do at least 1000 damage per turn. A bit of a pain in the ass for Pineco and Forretress due to those funking barriers.
Flame Dragon
Still haven't seen Houndoom. I've caught everything else so I switched to an all water team and am still winning. Mega Swamp is VERY good.
The Warden
I caught that funker Forretress with a great ball, and I am done with this safari. Good thing too, as it was easily the most obnoxious one yet.
evilfusion
I've started to just push through the remaining main stages, since I was in the last like...10. I've since reached stage 350, but not everything is S Rank or caught (though the majority is). This way, I can start knocking out the last few ones before any possible main stage updates come around. Sitting on a decent amount of coins (although only around 10k, and most of the S Ranks won't need more than a +5 or maybe a Disruption Delay). Except for 350 itself, which will definitely require full items.
