Flame Dragon
New week, new updates. First, Mega Manectric has returned. Just going to do nothing and get a free gem since I'd rather not screw the people that need the stone. Next is Delibird Escalation Battle. PRESENTS!!!! Odd we're getting this now and not in a month's time. Lastly, 10 new stages have been added. Lets hope these evolve into some good Pokemon. evilfusion
Good timing, since I had just captured Goodra earlier this week and spent the rest of the time coin grinding. The Escalation Battle seems like a decent alternative to coin grinding when I wrap up everything else, but otherwise, it's just a shrug to me. None of the rewards are particularly "Must do this!" worthy. I've gotten through like 7 of the new stages, only caught like 2 of them, no S Ranks, but I'm not trying ridiculously hard, either. Flame Dragon
I really hate Whismur. Its not even like the stage is hard. Hell, I actually got an S rank without putting any money in (sadly this was after I put money in to get it). However, as that statement indicates the damn thing won't catch. Its not even like its hard to get, but for some reason the stupid thing refuses to get in the ball. I'm at over 10 plays with only 1 failure to clear and still no dice. WHY?!?!?!?!?! ;_; Finally caught the stupid thing. And now the stages get hard. Haven't needed -1 complexity yet, but I've used all the others on the next two (245 and 246). Machoke looks annoying. Also, I saw that the Mega Manectric stage give 1 Attack Power ^ so tried to get that. Ended up scoring in the top 2400. Bla, feel bad taking a slot for someone that might have needed it. Pchi
Has someone found a practical way to beat Roselia's stage? While I managed to defeat her using Emboar, Avalugg and Heatran, it was only out of sheer luck, and I wasn't able to catch her.
Flame Dragon
Has someone found a practical way to beat Roselia's stage? While I managed to defeat her using Emboar, Avalugg and Heatran, it was only out of sheer luck, and I wasn't able to catch her. I have no idea. I ended up just using Mega Start with Mega Lucario and then got super lucky and got the catch at 28%. I think the best way otherwise would be something like 2 barrier bashers+ and Heracross/Genesect since she only has 2100 HP and a couple crowd control shots should end it. When fighting Aromatisse using its preevo just causes another filler pokemon to be added. Yea, used -1 complexity for the last three. Really tilted since I wasn't paying attention and had a VERY bad Mega for Roserade and failed to get the S rank even with everything. I have no money and must now grind just to spend more for another go at S. Blarg. At least I caught her. I tried again, this time with Charizard Y. Still came up short on s rank by 2 moves. Seriously, how do you S rank this stage? Also I'm now down to almost zero moneys and am very sad.
Pchi
I found the puzzle's solution: Puzzle Solution:1 1.) A3->B4, 2.) B2->A2, 3.) A5->B4 1 Left to Right Rows: A,B,C,D,E,F // Top to Bottom Columns: 1,2,3,4,5,6 Taken from Reddit. However, the OP mixed rows and columns up. And you must have a powerful set of mon at your disposal, otherwise, it won't be enough for the last move, which will be performed with Roselia. evilfusion
So now there's a Machamp stage, which isn't too bad. Base 70 Fighting with Eject. And a Latios Escalation Battle. Cool. ...with a twist. It's a TIMED Escalation Battle. Do you love Escalation Battles? Do you like Timed Stages? Then you'll love this! Have fun when the stages actually get hard. I figured Machamp would be part of the main stages. The stage isn't bad at least. Mega Mewtwo OP. Sadly, this one also has a case of the "refuse to get in the ball" like Whismur had. 22, 22, 20, 18, 18 mathematically would lead one to believe I'd have caught it, but nope. The grind is real. And I'm not a fan of timed battle. And Escalation means I need to play that instead of focusing on getting back money. I ONLY HAVE 16K GAME I NEED MORE!!! The Warden
I just used an Attack Up! I got from Delibird and the free Disruption Delay I got from not caring about the M-Manectric battle. I needed a Great Ball, but I caught him on a 54% with the G Ball. Flame Dragon
I normally only use power ups if I can't beat the stage normally. If I can I'll just grind out games until I get the catch. Sometimes it ends up being really dumb like with Whismur and now. I'm only 9 failed catch where the worse odds were 14%. Why you do this to me game?
The Warden
I spent my free resources to avoid that particular problem. In other news, I rather like the Latios battle. The timed element lets you move faster and defeat Latios faster, plus you can use Togekiss, Xerneas, and Diancie to deal an intense level of damage for the harder parts. evilfusion
Yeah, so far Latios isn't hard. I caught him at a 9% chance. He's a base 80 Dragon with Counterattack (more damage based on disruptions). I can usually clear him in about 10 seconds a round, but I'm only at Level 10 right now. The Warden
I caught him on 8% and yeah, he goes down quickly. However, beyond 10 he starts off with clouds on the A and F columns, which are inconvenient at best.
Flame Dragon
They really should make more use of clouds. Though Megas clearing them kind of makes them a lot less harmful for the player.
The Warden
I'd say no because they're kinda useless thanks to Mega Starts, but in hindsight I'm all for them considering that then maybe the developers would stop spamming barriers left right and center. I think in something like the escalation battle they work well. Your not going to throw countless Mega Starts at it. Even main stages they seem ok since they are annoying, but can be worked around since your not timed and you won't always use the Mega Start. The expert stages are the most suspect since there your pretty likely to use the Mega Start and at that point the clouds do nothing. Anyway, 14 stages cleared, still no capture. Pokemon don't like me. :/ 19 Stages and still now catch. How bad is my luck?
evilfusion
He stops using the clouds around Stage 25? I just focused on the unclouded area for those, since I could still beat him easily in 15 seconds. I just beat Level 35. At the moment, I can still consistently win in 30 seconds. The Warden
He actually gets easier after stage 40, oddly enough.
evilfusion
And then Stage 50 hits. As always. EDIT: Beat it. M-Latios is pretty cool. Think the difference between M-Manectric to M-Ampharos and that more or less sums up M-Latios vs M-Latias. Also, M-Latios stands out more because it has a red eye, whereas M-Latias icons were sometimes hard to notice.
The Warden
Latios I believe also hits Mega faster, as Latias has a max of 12 Mega Boosts, while Latios can only have 5 total.

I'm very happy with M-Latios in that regard, too. Its ability is pretty nice when it goes off, it hits Mega faster, has a more reliable Mega Effect, and is easier to spot matches than its female counterpart. It's just a shame Dragon sucks so much in this game.
The Warden
...It had the same exact mega effect as Latias though. Also, yes, Dragon sucks so much, which is why Salamance adopted its second type instead of staying Dragon.

Also, yes, Dragon sucks so much, which is why Salamance adopted its second type instead of staying Dragon. It's subtly different. It's less randomized. I said it's similar to M-Manectric vs M-Ampharos, just horizontal vs vertical.
The Warden
Hmm, I have noticed that the bolts usually only go through two rows or so each.
Flame Dragon
You guys already have the Mega Stone and here I am still trying to catch the damn thing. For the record I've clear 24 stages so far and still no catch. At this point I'm just enjoying getting to complain about my horrible luck.
