BlackBeartic
Number 73: Abyss Splash 2 Level 5 monsters Cannot be destroyed by battle except with "Number" monsters. During either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; double this card's ATK until the end of the Battle Phase We'll start with this card. I can only really be as blunt as this card is. Who doesn't want to have a free ATK double with no restrictions (Oh and no restrictions on the mosnters to use for XYZing this either). Open field? Detach for a huge amount of damage. Not much really gets over this attack wise. I would want to use some S/Ts to protect this though, because traps will ruin this. Edit: I was reminded that this wasn't OPT so... i guess brokeness score can go up. 7.5/10 for Coolness and 7.5/10 for brokeness. (Easily removed but great beatstick that can't really be ran over by normal circumstances) Number C73: Abyss Supra (Splash) 3 Level 6 monsters Cannot be destroyed by battle except with "Number" monsters. Once per battle, if this card battles an opponent's monster, during damage calculation (in either player's turn): You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; this card gains ATK equal to the ATK of the opponent's monster it is battling. It's an Honest that is Permanent... That's literally it. However as this thing can be boosted to ridiculous high amounts of attack if this eats something with 2.5k or more ATK. This is also a card that I would actually have a TON of protection for. It is interesting to note that unlike the IRL version it can be destroyed by card effects which in one way is a nerf, but at the same time since the ATK gain is now permanent it kinda balances? IDK. Fun Fact: I really enjoy the english dub summon of this, probably one of the very few things good with the english dub zexal series. Thoughts on these 2? Spinny
You should really start doing an /10 for impact aswell. I give them both 1/10 for impact, simply because you can literally manoeuvre around these guys in so many ways AND they cost a lot to get out :/ they are simply outclassed. I'd honestly would have so many low impacts it just doesn't seem worth it. I might do this for non number anime effs though.
玄魔の王
Abyss Splash isn't an attack double, it's an attack quadruple. Without a OPT clause, it turns any 2 LV5 monsters into a 9600 beatstick for 1 turn.

evilfusion
Yeah, that was kind of dumb in the anime that it could double its ATK twice. It's overkill in monster form. It only actually doubled twice once, though, against Kurage, as a random example of overkill, a theme that all the Barian assassins seemed to be running with, as all of them got blasted with huge ATK as the finishing blow. And then it made Nasch out to be somewhat dumb when he attacked C5 and only doubled once, which let Vector gloat about how he'd have lost if Nasch had doubled twice, due to Plot Device Counter Trap #3 or whatever. But I guess we got to see RUM - Quick Chaos and C73 as a result...

Yep Especially since Quick Chaos was never actually used again i guess that's a fair enough reason :P
Toffee.
C73 is better IRL. Anime is just for itself, and only once-per turn. IRL version works once per monster, but can be applied to each of your monsters for as long as it has Materials. Furthermore, having Splash as a Material means it can't be destroyed by effects. heraldry_lord
They severely nerfed Abyss Splash by putting 3 restrictions on him: 1.) He needs WATER monsters, despite not using WATER materials in his debut. 2.) He can't double his ATK twice in one turn. 3.) The battle damage he inflicts after the double is halved for the rest of the turn, so he's not as effective as a finisher. If they had kept him generic, the other two restrictions wouldn't have mattered, and he'd be a better Xyz Material for Crystal Zero Lancer than Freezadon. If they had kept his double effect the same as in the anime, the Summoning Condition nerf would have been justified.
