Wii U Virtual Console Update!

Nintendo is adding Nintendo 64 and DS games to the Wii U Virtual Console, at only 10 bucks a game. I'm not sure if I'll even have enough space for them. Still waiting for them to add the NES Turtles and Tiny Toon games and the SNES Turtles and Tiny Toons games. Along with Blades of Steel. Maybe now they'll complete the Battle Network series along with adding Pokemon Conquest. Cool huh? Of course they'll have to update the Wii U console version so it supports the new Nintendo Online system. So, you guys have any suggestions for new N64 and DS titles to be added?

Changed the title so that people will actually know what this thread will be about before opening it. I see the Nintendo Direct thread as sort of a catch-all thread, and this thread was posted only a few hours ago, so there's a chance this could get some discussion of its own. I'll leave this open for now rather than locking it, even though this thread is still late to the party.

I don't know what Nintendo Online system you're referring to, but I'm pretty sure the Wii U won't need to be update for it. It's just that the DS games may need to have their Wi-Fi connection adapted to the current system the Wii U is using, so it's actually the games themselves that need the change.

There are plenty of games I missed when the DS was the "current" system, and I'm glad they're starting with Yoshi's Island, since after the Ambassador Games came out, I've been interested in that.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't get my hopes up for seeing the TMNT game. It was pulled from the original Wii's store, presumably due to a licensing issue, so I can't see it being on the Wii U.

With the push on the Wii U towards N64 and DS, I'm hoping that they're able to put SNES and GBA games on the 3DS. Yes, the 3DS can run DS games, but the Wii U allows you the opportunity to purchase games you might not have at the cheaper price. I assume that they want the Wii U to keep being ahead of the 3DS in terms of its Virtual Console library, so the 3DS should be allowed to catch up now.

I'm just pumped about DK64 when it comes out. I only ever had that game when I was very young, and I never beat it, let alone a 100% run that I plan on doing.

I'm super excited about that too. One of my favorite N64 games.

I'd LOVE to see Banjo Kazooie and Tooie added, cause despite that Microsoft owns it now, it was originally made by Nintendo, so why not?

Yeah, I'd love to see Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie. Along with Mariokart 64, and it's a bit much to ask for the Pokemon Stadium games. How can that work? But Mario Party 1-3 is a definite. As well as Zelda games.

Did I mention I want Pokemon Conquest for the Wii U Virtual Console? Also, buth MMBN 4's, 5's and 6's, the Starforce games, the Zero games and ZX games. Wish they had Genesis games.

I wouldn't have expected DK64 to make it, because Rare, so Banjo-Kazooie's not totally out of the question.

While I was surprised to see it too, its not much different from the fact DKC 1-3 have been on the VC.

One of my weakness is I've never payed much attention to the virtual offerings Nintendo has so I'm going to need to work on improving that. Honestly seems really cool to have DS games playable on a home console. Curious what other games we'll get.

I've been getting into it since the WiiU gamepad will advertise stuff when I turn it on. It honestly works, it's how I learned about the Hyrule Warriors and MK8 DLC, as well as the Metroid Prime bundle when it was on sale for, like, $10.

Probably one of the best deals Nintendo ever had.
