Agro
It took a lot of work to do this all for no reason so plz don't delete over redundancy. k thnx. Here's literally everything you need to know from today's Nintendo Direct: New Fighters and DLC for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DSMewtwo, known to be a downloadable character for "Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS," was given a challenger trailer like all other new character announcements shown previously. His move set appears largely unchanged from "Melee," but it remains to be seen if other changes might be made that make him feel better to play as was seen in other characters, such as Ness. His Final Smash is Mega Mewtwo Y, but it appears to be a single attack, rather than the transformation like in the Final Smashes for Lucario and Charizard. Soon after the Mewtwo trailer, a second completely unexpected trailer was revealed announcing Lucas was returning. His specials appear to be unchanged, so it is unclear what his custom moves will be as those same moves were used as custom moves for Ness. He appears to have a significant combo game, though it is unclear if it will be like Ness's currently is. All I know is that the move that appeared to be an up-air spike in the trailer looks sick. Both Mewtwo and Lucas will be available for purchase as DLC characters for either a single version of the game at $3.99 or for both versions of the game at $4.99. Mewtwo releases on April 28, while Lucas is scheduled for release in June. However, those who registered both "Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS" on Club Nintendo before March 31 will get Mewtwo on both systems for free at the earlier date of April 15. Alongside the April 15 release of Mewtwo, an Update (Ver. 1.0.6) for "Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS" will be released bringing extra downloadable content, tweaked character balancing, and sharing functionality on Wii U including photos, mii fighters, replays, custom stages, and more. It is unclear what balancing changes will be made, but we can only hope for an end to the "hoo-hah." The extra DLC content specifically refers to many new mii fighter costumes, including those that crossover with other Nintendo and Nintendo-related franchises. Costumes include Link, Majora's Mask, Mega Man X, and Proto Man and will be available for one version of the game at $0.75, or both at $1.15 on April 15. Nintendo and Masahiro Sakurai will open a Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot to allow anyone, and I mean ANYONE, fill out a form to vote for who they want to see appear in "Super Smash Bros." The page is up now on the Smash Bros. main site, and the deadline for entry is 10/3/2015. Nintendo says that Sakurai and his team will examine every suggestion, but won't be able to implement all of them. It's more likely that only the latter is true. Information on downloadable characters and how to purchase them is also up on the main Smash Bros. site.New Amiibo and Wave 4 Release Dates Wave 4 will be released on May 29 and includes Charizard, Greninja, Jigglypuff, Robin, Lucina, Pac-Man, Wario, and Ness. It was later revealed that Ness is a Game Stop exclusive in the US. Preorders online and in store at GameStop for these amiibo starts tomorrow, April 2 at 2 pm. Of those figures, Nintendo reminded players that Lucina and Robin have uses in "Codename S.T.E.A.M." and Wario has compatibility with "Mario Party 10," both games which released in mid-March. An ominous warning of store exclusivity was mentioned by Iwata, however the only known exclusives so far is Ness for GameStop, Jigglypuff for Target, and Greninja for Toys R Us. Dark Pit and Palutena were given a release window for July, while Olimar, Bowser Jr., Dr. Mario, Zero Suit Samus, and Ganondorf have a release window of September. Iwata noted that Mewtwo and Lucas would also receive amiibo sometime in the future. "Amiibo TAP: Nintendo's Greatest Bits" was revealed as a free downloadable title that allows players to tap their amiibo to the nfc reader and gain access to one of nine scenes from a particular Nintendo game. What game is unlocked is randomized and is the only game that particular amiibo can unlock, and which game is unlocked is not necessarily representative of the character used. For example, a Mario amiibo could unlock Super Mario World or Super Metroid. They also announced a special plush yarn Yoshi amiibo in celebration of "Yoshi's Wooly World." It will be available in green, pink, or light blue and will be available this fall. Inkling amiibos were also announced for release on the same day as "Splatoon" (May 29) in 3 different versions: an inkling girl, inkling boy, and squid-form inkling. You can buy all 3 in one package, but only the inkling boy and girl will be sold separately. More Marth amiibo will be released in May for those who missed out when it was first released. There are nfc cards being made, but for the moment Nintendo has only shown off Animal Crossing cards to be used in "Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer."Mario Maker Nintendo gave a release window of September for "Mario Maker." Which art style will be used was confirmed to be only the original "Super Mario Bros.," "Super Mario Bros. 3," "Super Mario World," and "New Super Mario Bros." It appears that the courses you make allows you to build your own worlds from 4 different levels you have created and doesn't appear to care if one world uses the original art style while the next uses the most recent one. You can play all the levels in the world at once using a play button at the front of the line of levels, or you can select a level individually to edit, play, change the name of, trash, or most importantly, upload. How you view uploaded levels was not shown and it doesn't appear that you can share levels from one individual to another. At the bottom of the screen once you've selected a level to make this choice, the level in full is shown. From the look of the size of the level in the direct, it seems that concerns over how long levels created by users could be might be alleviated. The segment ended with a teaser about how there will be more 30th anniversary announcements as we near its release.Yoshi's Wooly World "Yoshi's Wooly World" launches this fall, and will feature both a classic mode and a 'mellow mode.' Classic mode works as games in this series always have, with as much challenge as cuteness. Mellow mode is the 'easy mode,' giving the player the ability to play as winged Yoshi throughout the level. Players can switch back and forth between each version at any point in the level. Amiibo: The Yoshi amiibo allows you to control a second Yoshi much in the same way the double cherry power up worked in "Super Mario 3D World." As an object in the game, however, the second Yoshi acts as a secondary character, so a player can pick one up and throw it like they can in 2-player mode. You know, for if you have a Yoshi amiibo and no friends.Splatoon "Splatoon" was given a release date of May 29 and mainly showed multiplayer modes we already knew about such as Turf Wars and Splat Zones. Additionally a 1 v 1 local multiplayer mode was shown called the Battle Dojo, where one player uses the gamepad while the other uses the television. In this mode, players compete to see who can pop the most balloons in a given stage, which are the same stages as in the online modes. Amiibo: Players will receive exclusive missions based on which amiibo they tap in. Completing these missions grants exclusive access to special weapons and gear.Virtual Console Nintendo 64 and Nintendo DS Virtual Console games are coming to the Wii U. For DS games, there are multiple layout options, including some games that will use both screens as intended or put both screens on the television. You can choose which one suits a specific title best. N64 games allow for complete button configuration assignment. Games that supported the rumble pack will have rumble features on the Wii U gamepad. Both DS and N64 games can be played entirely on the Wii U gamepad. Nintendo 64 game prices will range from $9.99 - $11.99, however games that players already own on the Wii will be discounted to only $2 each. DS games will range from $6.99 - $9.99. "Yoshi's Island DS" and "Super Mario 64" are both available right now, with "Yoshi Touch & Go" and "WarioWare: Touched!" becoming available on April 9. "Donkey Kong 64" comes out April 16, "MarioKart DS" comes out April 23, and "Paper Mario" (64) comes out April 30. All of these games will cost $9.99 each.Indie and Smaller Titles "forma.8," "Don't Starve: Giant Edition," "Affordable Space Adventures," "STARWHAL," "Never Alone," "Octodad: Dadliest Catch," "Ninja Pizza Girl," "Life of Pixel," "BADLAND: Game of the Year Edition," "Slain!," "Runbow," "Adventures of Pip," "Back to Bed," "Space Hulk," "RACE THE SUN," "Dot Arcade," "Swords & Soldiers II," "Toto Temple Deluxe," "The Bridge," "Nova-111," and "Windup Knight 2" will be coming to the Wii U e-shop. "Dementium: Remastered," "DOOORS", and "Lionel City Builder 3D: Rise of the Rails" will be coming to the 3DS shop. "Antipole DX," "Mutant Mudds Super Challenge," and "Shutshimi" will be coming to both systems. "Adventures of Pip" and "Don't Starve: Giant Edition" releases in May. The latter of the two will give you 2 codes for the game, allowing you to give one code to a friend. "Octodad: Dadliest Catch" releases in the Summer. "Mutant Mudds Super Challenge" releases in June and features cross-buy across Wii U and 3DS and a discount if you own the original. HAL Laboratories showed off some more "BoxBoy!" There are over 150 stages and many block costumes, some of which offer additional abilities for your character. It launches on the eshop tomorrow, April 2. Reviews are already out. "Pokémon Rumble World" was announced. It's free for the 3DS and it sure looks like a "Pokémon Rumble" game. It doesn't appear that you need the nfc figures, but you sure can buy things using real money to reach distant areas faster. Or you can get them by completing stages and street pass. It's available for download from the 3DS shop on April 8.Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem Nintendo finally showed off a trailer for their crossover with Atlus, and it basically looks like the most anime thing I've ever seen. I have absolutely no idea what to make of the trailer so take a look at it yourself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fS24IxelBANew Fire Emblem Game The player created character will be the main character. It's trailer is fucking raw and it has lightning blades. You can choose between two sides to fight for. The Japanese Direct advertised the game as if they were two separate games and offered a special edition that contained both, so it's likely the US version is this special edition. However, I'm still holding out hope that the game is about making choices between characters, those on both sides of which you like, rather than choosing one path or the other from the very beginning. I can dream, can't I? No, but that trailer was still raw as fuck and I want to play this game. Oh, also which side you choose is actually about difficulty. The Hoshido side is more accessible and much like a normal Fire Emblem game. The Nohr side is supposedly more complicated, original, and difficult. It is planned for a North American release in 2016.Mario Kart 8 DLC+ The new DLC for "Mario Kart 8" featuring Villager, Isabelle, and Dry Bowser released earlier than anticipated on April 23. It includes 4 new karts including the City Tripper moped and the Streetle kart, and 8 new stages, including an Animal Crossing course that they show off in the direct that changes appearance through seasons each time you race. Mr. Resetti is also an obstacle, and that's pretty cool. It will cost $7.99 unless you've already gotten the full season pass for the discounted price. Amiibo: 9 new Mii costumes will be added for Mega Man, PAC-MAN, Sonic, Today, Wario, Villager, Rosalina, Bowser, and Olimar alongside the new DLC. Lastly, they're adding a 200cc mode, so get ready on April 23. No items. Mute City. Captain Falcon Mii only. We eports now.Other Games Puzzles & Dragons Z + Puzzles & Dragons: Super Mario Edition is apparently an RPG? I wouldn't have known. I'm not sure anyone actually cares about this game, so here's a link to the video explaining it. It releases on May 22 and is available for preorder for $39.99. There's also a demo that goes up on the 3DS shop on April 30. There's an Attack on Titan game. It's bad, don't play it. Codename S.T.E.A.M. is getting fixed. They're giving it an update that lets you speed up the enemy turns because they take too long. There's a deathmatch tournament in Versus Mode that seems to be in honor of Tom Sawyer without actually ever needing players to use Tom Sawyer. Streetpass Mii Plaza is getting 2 new games. Just so readers know, street pass games are amazing, no matter how boring they look. One of them is a fishing mode and the other involves fighting zombies. Obviously the latter one looks cooler. There's also this Premium thing that doesn't add anything worth paying for. They are all available on April 16 and cost $4.99 each. You can get both the fishing and zombie game together for only $7.99. Xenoblade Chronicles 3D is coming out this month on April 10 and it has a cool new trailer. "Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer" is about being an interior designer in the Animal Crossing world. Dealing with client's shitty taste and all. You can invite characters to houses by scanning more character cards. Release scheduled for this fall on the 3DS. The 3DS nfc scanner will be released around the same time. Toffee.
So.... Nintendo passed up the opprotunity to release DK 64 on Wii, but saved it for WiiU? K.AND IM TEMPTED TO BUY PAPER MARIO 64, YET AGAIN, IF ONLY BECAUSE I CAN BE A COCKY JACKASS AND SHOWCASE HOW MUCH BETTER I AM AT THE GAME THEN THE OTHER 8 YEAR OLDS- *ahem*200 CC in Mario Kart scares the living fuck out of me. Flame Dragon
Smash stuff is hype. Seeing Lucas was a pretty big shock since, as I said in the Smash thread, we weren't even sure if we would get more DLC pas Mewtwo. The Outfits are cut, but cost to much imo. Still, people will buy them.I feel bad for all the random/trolly characters people are going to end ups suggesting.Wooly Yoshi looks cute and I might actually pick it up since it will be my friend. Wooly World looks great and I'm looking forward to getting it.Most the Smash cast now has an Amiibo. Only R.O.B., G&W, Falco, and Duck Hunt are missing one. I thought Olimar was too, but that was because I didn't see him on the Amiibo site. Its funny, I'm more interested in playing other people's stage in Mario Maker than making my own. Still, the game looks likes great so far so I'm planning on picking it up.Splatoon as a game just really interests me. I'm not sure how much I'd enjoy it if I got it, but it just has such a really cool concept and its a new IP for Nintendo so I hope it does well. Want to get it, but I only have so much money.I've always kind of ignored the VC and indie stuff cause I'm dumb. I should look more into it since a lot of the stuff they showed off seemed sweet or at the very least interesting. My opinion on Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem is the same as yours. Anime as hell and I had no idea what was even going on in the trailer. Looks pretty though. The main theme for the Fire Emblem game is AMAZING. At the very least I need that in my life.Happy the MK8 DLC got pushed up and 200CC seems sweet.
Shradow
Definitely gonna be getting Wooly World (Kirby's Epic Yarn was just plain fun, and this looks even better), Splatoon, and all the Fire Emblem. 200 CC for MK8 is nice, but I just want a new F-Zero game. Gonna get the plush Yoshi amiibo (probably blue) whether I actually use it in-game or not, that is just adorable. I'll pick up the Splatoon amiibos as well. I feel like we should have heard something by now and I feel they really want to do something big for the 20th anniversary. ORAS wasn't announced until May. We'll get Nintendo's E3 plans later this month, likely alongside some information from the Famitsu DS+Wii magazine, and Pokémon stuff will come whenever the magazine that usually leaks that stuff comes out this month or next. This. Also thank you Agro, this makes it a lot easier as I've been away for the whole day. happy someone got use out of it lol

Could swear it was a bit earlier. Still, curious what they are going to do next year since its the 20 anniversary. Personally, I wouldn't mind Pokemon taking a break for a year since 08 was the last year without a pokemon game in NA. Guess we'll have to wait till E3.Speaking of, wonder how much more they'll have to show off for that. Only new thing we saw was SMxFE and we know they have a few other things in the works like Star Fox.

Oh no, I just realized. 20th anniversary? > they just remade RSE > FRLG was remade right after RSE > anniversary of R&B > FRLG are remakes of R&B Well I suppose I'll just have to make this prediction: - This year we're getting the companion game(s) to X&Y or nothing at all - Next year we're getting another remake of RB, or perhaps even Yellow, or a personal preference, a Wii U game with mechanics similar but not the same as the handheld version and a world based off the anime - 2017 is the opposite of what we get this year, or perhaps they release a new gen like they did with BW. Or maybe the NX is released (which is totally gonna be a handheld) and they develop for that Yeah, just so I can point out announcement history: XY - announced on January 8 ORAS - announced on May 7 - So it's possible that if we get a new game it gets announced within the next week, but I'd doubt they'd do something like that right after a direct, so a may reveal if anything is more likely E3 Plans - Last 2 years, they announced their E3 presentation plans in mid-to-late April. I assume they do that again Famitsu DS+Wii - they said they had big news so I assume they'll have it around the 20th of April.

Personally, I'd much rather they put rerelease R/B on VC than get another remake. It has issues with connectivity to my understanding, but would still be nice to see.Based on the order they've done things since gen 3 I'd guess we'd get the start of the next gen after we get the remake.Looks like we should know soon about the next big pokemon thing. Would be pretty sweet for it to be something no one expects like a new spinoff. Also, while we're on the Pokemon topic, another micro transaction Pokemon game. I mean, it is a decent franchise to do that with.

Agro
Schedule added at bottom of OP. It is slightly incomplete as any game without a release date, games with large release windows that were not discussed in the direct, or 2016 games not discussed in the direct are not included. However, the amount of content in April and May appears to make it very obvious that we won't be getting another Nintendo Direct until E3. At most, we will get a video announcing Nintendo's E3 plans.
