Fortuners- Bring you all the luck you need!

These are some of my first cards. Based on various items and superstitions related to luck (mostly Japanese), their main ability is related to drawing-- some let you draw more cards, and others gain effects (well, not yet) and ATK/DEF based on the number of cards in your hand. Tell me what you think!

 

If at all possible, I may list the Japanese names of some cards. If you've ever seen the Antique Gear cards (the Japanese ones), then you know how I'll name some of these cards(kanji ["shoufuku"] with katakana for "Fortuner" on top).

 

Fortuner- Golden Dragon Idol

light/4/1700/1300/dragon

A statue representing the god of fortune, it is said to bring great fortune

to its owner. Legends say in times of crisis, it will become the vessel for

the god's spirit.

 

Fortuner God- Golden Dragon Fortune

light/8/3000/2800/dragon

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set.

This card can only be Special Summoned by the effect of

“Blessing of Fortune.” When this card is Special Summoned,

it gains 500 ATK and DEF x the current amount of

cards in your hand.

 

Fortuner- Lucky Cat

earth/4/1300/1700/beast

When this card is face-up on the field, your opponent cannot

select any other card as an attack target. Whenever this card is

attacked, draw a card.

 

Fortuner- Gold Lucky Cat

earth/8/2800/3000/beast

Increase this card's ATK and DEF by 200 for every card

in your hand. When this card is face-up on the field, all attacks

are directed toward it. Whenever this card is attacked,

draw a card.

 

Fortuner- Little Daruma

earth/1/0/0/warrior

This card can not be destroyed as a result of battle.

When this card is destroyed by a card effect, draw a card.

 

Fortuner- Grand Daruma

earth/5/0/0/warrior

Increase this card's ATK and DEF by 500 for every card

in your hand. When this card is summoned, remove

1 card from your deck from play. When this card is

destroyed as a result of battle, add that card to your hand.

 

Fortuner- Returning Frog Kaeru

water/1/300/300/aqua

You can discard this card to the Graveyard to add a Fortuner

monster in the Graveyard to your hand.

 

Fortuner- Money Frog Chan Chu

water/3/1000/1000/aqua

During each of your Standby Phases, draw a card

if this monster is in Attack Position and place a Coin Counter

on this card. (Increase ATK and DEF by 300 for every Coin

Counter on a monster.) If this card is destroyed in Attack Position,

discard cards from your hand equal to the number of Coin Counters

on this card.

 

Fortuner- Flying Carp Koi Nobori

wind/5/2400/1700/fish

When this card destroys another monster, you may

increase the ATK of another Fortuner monster by 500. The

ATK boost remains as long as this card is face-up on

the field.

 

Fortuner- Lucky Coin Koban

earth/1/0/0/rock/union

[General Union Effects]

Equippable only to a Fortuner monster.

When the equipped monster's effect allows

you to draw a card, you may draw an extra card.

 

Fortuner- Miko of the Lucky Shrine

earth/4/1900/1100/spellcaster

You can discard this card to the graveyard to add 1

“Lucky Shrine” from your deck to your hand.

 

Fortuner- Long-Living Matsu

wind/4/1600/1500/plant/union

[general union effects]

only equippable to a New Year Fortuner- Take

or New Year Fortuner- Ume

Increase the equipped monsters ATK and DEF by

300 points.

 

Fortuner- Prosperous Take

wind/4/1300/1700/plant/union

[general union effects]

only equippable to a New Year Fortuner- Matsu

or New Year Fortuner- Ume

Increase the equipped monsters ATK and DEF by

500 points.

 

Fortuner- Patient Ume

wind/4/1100/1300/plant/union

[general union effects]

only equippable to a New Year Fortuner- Matsu

or New Year Fortuner- Take

Increase the equipped monsters ATK and DEF by

700 points.

 

Fortuner- Gatekeeper of the First Half- Kadomatsu

wind/8/2800/2700/plant/fusion

[XYZ-style fusion]

When this card destroys a monster as a result of battle,

you may remove a monster in your deck or graveyard

from play. When this card is destroyed as a result of battle,

add all monsters removed this way to your hand.

 

 

Lucky Shrine

Field Magic

Increase the ATK and DEF of all Fortuner

on the field by 400. While this card is face-up on the field,

you can select and add 1 Fortuner card from your Deck to

your hand instead of conducting your normal draw during your Draw Phase.

 

 

 

 

Lucky Summon

Magic

This card cannot be played on your first turn.

Activate this card when you have no cards on your side of

the field. Summon all monsters in your hand. Your opponent

may summon as many monsters from their hand as possible.

 

Level Draw

Magic

This card can only be activated when both players

control at least 1 face-up monster. Both players draw

cards equal to the total Level Stars of their opponent's

face-up monsters.

 

Blessing of Fortune

Magic

Offer a “Fortuner- Gold Dragon Statue” on your side of the field

as tribute. Special Summon a “Fortuner God- Golden Dragon of Luck”

from your hand.

 

Daruma Otoshi

Magic

Your opponent receives 400 points of damage for every card

in your hand and for every “Daruma” monster on your side of

the field. Destroy all your “Daruma” monsters afterward.

 

Gatekeeper of the Second Half- Kadomatsu

Magic

Select a face-up “Fortuner- Gatekeeper of the First Half- Kadomatsu”

you control to activate this card. After activation, Special Summon

this card; it is treated as an Effect Monster Card (Plant/WIND/

8/ATK 2800/DEF 2700). As long as this card and the selected

“Fortuner- Gatekeeper of the First Half- Kadomatsu”remain face-up

on the field, when either of these cards destroys a monster as a result of battle,

you may add a monster from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand.

When the selected “Fortuner- Gatekeeper of the First Half- Kadomatsu” is removed

from the field, destroy this card.

 

Four-Leaf Clover

Quick-Play Magic

Draw a card. If this face-down

card is destroyed, draw 2 cards.

In either case, draw an extra card

if you have any Fortuner monsters

on the field.

 

Ming Bi-Hell Money

Continuous Trap

When a Fortuner monster would be destroyed

as a result of battle, you may discard a card from

your hand to negate the destruction.

(Battle Damage is still applied.)

 

Cat Bank

Continuous Trap

Whenever “Fortuner-Lucky Cat” allows

you to draw a card, put a Coin Counter (Increase ATK

and DEF by 300 for every Coin Counter) on a

“Fortuner-Lucky Cat”. When “Fortuner-Lucky Cat”

has 3 Coin Counters, you may send it to the Graveyard and

Special Summon a “Fortuner- Gold Lucky Cat” from your

hand or Deck. Destroy this card afterwards.
