My Application to become a YCM Moderator!

ultimatedeckmaster

Question

Why I want to become a Moderator!!!!!

1. I want to become an Moderator because i want to help everyone especially the YCM Staff so that together we can make this site more successful and a place that everyone wants to be in. Also I want to lend extend my skills and knowledge to become the best I can be and help the everyone find their inner spirit.

2. My experience is vast. I have been in many forums, managed many websites, and am a great leader. I am also great with recruitment and order.

3. I will be extremely active I am on Dueling Network everyday for at least 8 hours or more sometimes straight sometimes in two hours segments and am very fexible.

4. I believe the role of an Moderator is first and for most to be a role model and therefore you must exhibit appropriate behavior at all times since everyone is watching you. Of course helping manage the website which for me is not a problem. A Moderator is supposed to make sure everything is running smoothly and on point. And lastly is supposed to be the spitting image of what the forum is all about.

So please give me a chance, you will not be disappointed!!!

Thank You for Your Consideration,

King Dartz

Bit of advice, don't mess with the standard font if you want to be taken seriously.  It's just kind of an unspoken rule that you don't use large font sizes or odd colors, with a few exceptions.  A Moderator Application is not one of them.  Furthermore, moderators are really only chosen from people that have been on the site for a long while and are generally held as being people capable of handling the necessary administrative tasks.

The problem here is.

No one knows who you are, and we have been given no reason to trust you in the position. All of the mods are people who have been around for a while and earned it.

It would be nice if you could look professional when going for modship.

This isn't even the proper way of becoming a mod. You'd need to take it up with the big cheese(s) and not to mention, unless they're specifically looking for a mod you won't get it anyway.

Basically....you're 1000 years too early to be asking for modship.

all I'm seeing is a baseless ego stroke

and dn is hardly a credential to tote

The lack of proper usage of commas and paragraphs also turns me off, considering you're attempting to become a leader. You said you wanna be a role model, but it looks so unprofessional that it, honestly, turns me off even more. Changing the font size doesn't help your case, either, as that just seems like a grab at individuality/ego stroking again. Well, that or copy pasta with a few changed words.

PFFFFFT, wow.

If I was the one promoting people, the text enlargement itself would be a turn-off. That and all the little spelling and grammar mistakes which imply that you're not taking this seriously enough to even consider yourself a good candidate. On that note, I can't say I believe you've modded other forums unless their standards are super lax and they either don't take their jobs remotely serious or they just take what they can get.

Also, being active on DN =/= being active on YCM. Moderators moderate. Players play. If you want to moderate, the forum itself needs to be a priority over dueling members.

I know nothing about moderating (and from what I've heard, I don't intend to), but that's just my two cents.
