Yosuke-kun
Alright so it's basically as the topic says. I haven't watched a current anime since SAO II proved to be an even bigger train wreck then the first half and destroyed my hopes and dreams that maybe the author might one day learn from his mistakes. But now spring break has started for me, and my girlfriend is on vacation in Hawaii. So, what're some suggestions for decent anime that I should watch? I'm pretty open to anything really, with the exception of hentai, yaoi, and yuri. There's a time and place for that stuff, and it's not here >3> I've heard a lot of good things about Zankyou no Terror but haven't really looked into it at all. Mostly because I am lazy and just don't want to do it. So I thought, since I just came back today, I may as well get the opinions and suggestions of multiple people here. Rather then end up accidentally watching a horrible series and end up wasting time. Be warned though, I'll likely post a review when I finish it. Agro
How new are we talking? I've got quite a few shows going back to 2013 that I could suggest.
Yosuke-kun
They don't have to be just released. I'll go as far back 2013. I already watched anything worth watching (in my opinion) up to 2012 though.
Raine
Kyousougiga (2011) Fun, light-hearted, ultra-vioent, super lovable characters, colorful and beautifully animated , and best family love story that involved the world ending  Shin Sekai Yori (2012) It's hard to describe this show. It's very particular but you might want to try this if you want something you've never EVER seen before.  Death Parade (2014-15) This is a very new one, it's about a club bar in the after life where people die at the same time are judged in a set of club games like darts, bowling, etc. twisted in dark ways to draw out the darkest side of each person so they can be correctly judged. It's episodic and the temporary characters are just as lovable or hate-able as the permanent ones which grow on you quickly.   Guilty Crown (2011) Best show ever and Shu is awesome don't let all these nay-sayers convince you otherwise, they're lying to themselves.  Kyoukai no Kanata (2012) Ha ha, this show is pretty great. Good storyline, great characters, better pacing, and an ending that makes it. Which is rare in anime... endings usually suck. Oh, you can skip episode, i think, 7, that's the filler episode... unless, you like cute. It's got a lot of cute.  Black Bullet (2014) Don't watch Black Bullet. ...or Irregular at Magic High School. These are bad shows.  Blast no Tempest (2009-2010): I like to throw this in. It's very very good. DEAR JOSPEH IT IS GOOD! Plus, you won't ever have to read two Shakespeare plays.

Yosuke-kun
Shin Sekai Yori Something new is always appreciated. From the sound of it it's interesting too.  Death Parade Sounds like a really dark version of Mondaiji-tachi or No game, No life. I'll look into it, thanks  Guilty Crown I actually watched this one. It was okay, but I didn't like how things were kinda shoddily explained and motivations just sorta appeared. Also, the romance felt really really forced, and didn't seem to have anything backing it, which isn't good for when the romance is the driving force of your plot. That ing said, despite the often times confusing and downright unexplained plots points here and there, I still kinda enjoyed it if for no other reason then because of how well it was animated and how good the music was.  Kyoukai no Kanata Already saw that too. I loved it, and thought it was a nice refreshing change for moe~ since it was telling an actual story with plot and characters and wasn't just used for cute factor.  Black Bullet Yeah I gave up on episode 4. All I was getting was that the writers saw how successful AoT was, so they copied it, but put t in the future, replaced the titans with bugs, replaced Levi with an angsty teenage cyborg, and replaced the survey core with loli's... Really wish I heard your warning before hand xD Aldnoah Zero I was actually looking at that not too long ago. I wanted to look into it a bit more but again was too lazy.  Kill la Kill Already saw, thought it was great for what it was. I mean it was more or less what I was expecting, but with a bit more then I thought. Ending was kinda disappointing though, not because it was bad, but because it didn't manage to live up to it's own hype in the end. It was otherwise a good ending, jut not as climactic as I was expecting.  Kuroko no Basuke I kinda like basketball and I like JoJo, and that looks like it's a got a bit of both. So that'll be fun  Haikyuu I've been recommended this before so I'll give it a look.  Psycho-Pass My sister says that's good, and it's on Netflix so I can watch it when I'm relaxing. So yay.    I was gonna say SAO ironically but you already saw it.   Yeah SAO almost killed anime and video games for me. Fortunately Log Horizon was able to save both. Raine
I can understand maybe marking out Chaika, but to do so to the other three is a sin.  Nisekoi was okay, I love Shaft most of the time, but... come on... I mean, it's Nisekoi. I wouldn't "recommend" it.  All the gundams have been mediocre, at least the ones I've seen... which include build fighters.  As an avid Fate fan, I can not recommend the Unlimited Blade Works movie. Play the VN or rewatch Fate/Zero~
Rodrigo
Akatsuki no Yona is probably one of the best surprises I've had with anime. It's shoujo, but it's not shoujo. It's such a great adaption. Worth checking it out. The character development is fantastic.

Raine
Wait... Don't watch Unlimited Budget Works?  It's not awful, it's good, i suppose. I'm just an elitist Fate/Stay Night VN fan that screamed at it on occasion. It's what I do. Watch it if you're interest, if you don't have too many expectations, it should impress you.
Shradow
It's not awful, it's good, i suppose. Â Elitist or not, I can't take your opinion seriously after hearing this. It's pretty much been disregarded, actually. Â Unless you're still talking about the movie, in which case the former half of your sentence has thrown me off. Nicο
maybe the author might one day learn from his mistakes.Just getting it out there... He kind of did, it's called Accel World. Even if you've already tried it, it's basically the only thing that's remotely an improvement (technically yes, since SAO may not have been published until after it, it was still started as a web novel for some time before) right now. The only thing is the second half is like first season SAO's second half but thankfully the manga does that all in chapter 23. They knew people hated that arc so much they shoved it aside, got it over with in 1 chapter, and moved on to bigger and better things. (I hope)It may not be great, but it's simply an understatement to say anything's better... There is the angstyness that may bother some people but it's better than Kirito, and done in a believable-ish manner. I'm not mentioning the fat because really that shouldn't be a problem. It actually enhances the story for me. Kyousougiga (2011)Shin Sekai Yori (2012)Death Parade (2015)Blast no Tempest (2009-2010):>Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kunThe Devil is a Part-timer>Haikyuu!!Kuroko no Basuke>Your Lie in April (music, romance)NisekoiYowamushi PedalNo Game No LifeCan attest to these, I also thought:D-Frag!One Week FriendsKingdomand I'd really say Chihayafuru too since like three quarters of it did air in and after 2012... so close. Either way, Accel World was in all fairness significantly better then SAO. And I actually agree with you on Hiroyuki. It was a nice change of pace to have the main character of a VRMMO genre, or really any anime, be a fat little guy. So props for that.
