Mutant Monster RAEG-HAPYP
http://www.cnn.com/2015/03/09/asia/japan-stabbing/index.html You don't usually see cases like this come out of Japan. IIRC, they're a pretty safe nation.
Thar
>awaiting his lawyer The fuck does his lawyer have to say about it? He stabbed and killed 5 elderly people. The least he could do is confess and serve his time.
ihop
Even if it traditionally does have a low homocide rate every country has its nutters. RIP, condolences to the families involved.
Simping For Hina
>awaiting his lawyer The fuck does his lawyer have to say about it? He stabbed and killed 5 elderly people. The least he could do is confess and serve his time. For any legel claim, get a fucking lawyer. For dealing with cops and the law, because it isn't your friend in most situations. But you're right, this is wrong. But there really isn't anything we can do except talk about what would come out of this since Japan has a low homicide rate. It is most likely going to be seen has a problem and has drastic effects for the shortcoming. I don't know much about Japan's culture, though. Βyakuya
Even if they were elders, no one should see the last bits of their long life stopped by murderous delinquents. That said, I'm sure Japan still has its criminals lying about, but I'm sure a majority of Japan will still carry on the right values for its culture and social standards. For the main criminal, may he be punished to the furthest extent of the law in accordance to his actions.
Cin
It's the way the law system works, better to have it all done above board than lose the case because he didn't have access to a lawyer from when he asked.

Cierfrost
>awaiting his lawyer Not sure how Japan does it, but Innocent until proven guilty in a Court of Law. Its annoying at times but it prevents a lot of other bad things.
mitchermitcher
As far as I know, I don't think any modern country, or any country with a court system, has a 'guilty until proven innocent' policy, including Japan. I'm no expert on the subject but a brief conversation with a history teacher taught me that lil' piece of trivia. And no, Ace Attorney is not accurate in any way regarding that topic.
