You cannot Special Summon other monsters during the turn you activate this effect. When a Psychic-type monster you control inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, gain Life Points equal to the damage inflicted. Card B 2 Level 4 Monsters When this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing damage to your opponent, and if you do, gain Life Points equal to the damage inflicted. Once per turn can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card: during the tun this effect is activated, this card can attack all monsters your opponent controls, also this card gains 300 ATK. Other monsters you control cannot declare an attack the turn you activate this effect. Note: Card A fits the requirement since it is a Spell Monster, emphasis on Monster. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Card A lends support to both generations of Psychic monsters; LP restoration effect helps to offset the costs associated with some of them to a certain degree; whereas the summon condition builds on the newer generation. That being said, it is still a 2700 beatstick but comes with the price tag of no other SSing (and requires that you have 2 banished Psychics) I don't play Psychics, so can't really say what strategies they use to get this out. ---- Card B deals damage no matter what (assuming it has sufficient ATK to go through everything), thus triggering its LP gain effect from killing defense monsters. Its detach effect grants it 2700 ATK to hit everything the opponent plays, but you can't use other monsters to strike with. Most bosses are 2800+, yes, but on its own, this card essentially becomes able to wipe the opponent's field clean for the most part. Then there's its summon conditions, which aren't particularly hard to pull out in a lot of Decks lately. (I should also note that I don't play MtG, so no knowledge on the lifelink thing, but all entries are LP related so that's what I assume it is) Vote goes to A though. Alpakha
Not having much experience with psychics, I not sure how well Card A would work. It seems pretty situational, and it seems like it would block you from playing any other plays. Card B is a great control card to slow down any fast tempo swarming decks, as 2700 can usually get over anything. However, my problem is that it does so much for so little. 2 level 4's is pretty easy to bring out is most decks, and card just gives so much for a cheap price. I'm gonna vote fro Card A. Maeriberii Haan
Card B, as it has been mentioned several times, does too much for too little. The LP gains won't matter that much, but the main issue would be that it's a 2.7k generic Bujintei Susan. That alone sounded quite unhealthy, in my opinion. Card A's not that situational if you remember that Redox exists on top of everything else. Main issue would be how its level -sucked-, but well, a 2.7k beater with lifelink that can be summoned semi-easily is pretty cool regardless. Would definitely be more dangerous as a 7 or 8. Aaalso, a minor gripe, but so far, many of these lifelink effects that I've seen in this round looked like they're just tacked on the card instead of actually being integrated to it. It's more create a card that fills a role you want then give it lifelink so it can be submitted for the contest. Idk, more ways to emphasize on that lifelink effect on the card itself would be pretty cool, in my opinion. I'll vote for A here, btw. Not exactly a fan of either actually, but B's design looked quite harmful for something that can be summoned on demand.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Unless Striker has any objections to Nai's vote (which I don't foresee), card A wins 3-0.
