Night
Don't spout ignorant shit on the internet and you won't be penalized. Really not that complicated. I'm not saying imprisoning the guy (only 10 days, mind you) for acting like a 12 year old girl was "just" but no one forced him to. He did so on his own accord and as such he was punished for it. Some would say harshly, well, that's life sometimes.
LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
I would have to agree with Night here. Though I do wonder about the whole "Did the action in the US and was punished later in the other country" stuff. Not sure how that works.
Cierfrost
"Pate said he was accused of violating an Emerati cybercrimes law for slandering his employer, which brought the charges against him." ... thats it. Thats the topic. He clearly broke the law. Nothing to talk about.

Not sure how that works. There's still this. And also the discussion about if the law is a just one or not. Saying there's nothing at all to talk about is kinda wrong. According to the article it implies that it was done online at some point and he was then arrested after arriving in the country of his employment. Cin
That's why if you're going to rant do it anonymously. However it is said to think you cannot just talk to your employer with out them having a go back, I feel it's important to be able to talk problems through with work. Actually Icy, he posted it in the US not the UAE, so it was legal.
