Damian Dāku (ダミアン·ダーク)

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Occupation: Student
1JqW9bx.jpg

Ironically for his rather cold appearance, Damian is rather settle, and has a patience for others. He is shy to the point of almost never being the first to start of a conversation, but not enough to keep him from quickly make friends. Though he tends to do well in class, his overwhelming knowledge sometimes gets to him and causes him to not pay attention if it's nothing new. That being said, he is not afraid to share his knowledge, and sometimes helps other students.

For every light side of a person, however, there always is a dark, and that is so with Damian at times. Out of nowhere in duels, though usually by the activation of his Fusion Spell, Demise of the Sacred Key, Damian becomes absolutely ruthless. In this said form, Damian prays on every card they drop like a spider on a fly, and stops at nothing to overwhelm the opponent. Though many people could tell you of this, Damian never seems to recognize such thing, although he never seems to recall duels with such.........

Damian hasn't had the brightest of pasts, but seems to have the brightest of futures. At 7, his parents were missing, and thus was taken into an orphanage, where he met Elson Garsh. However, left by his parents were a Duel Monsters Deck he took, and has used it ever since. The game not only became a passion for him, but united Damian and Elson into close friends. Elson introduced him to the Darklords, an archetype of fallen angels similar to Damian's Dread Angels. Shortly after, the two were adopted together. Damian began gathering a less grim attitude as a result, and started participating in Duel Monsters tournament. He quickly caught on and did extremely well every time, having yet to place below 3rd and earning the nickname "堕天使のチャンピオン" ("Datenshi Chanpion", "Champion of the Fallen Angels"). At 14, he took his skills to Duel Academy, and became a well rounded student, but for some reason could barely recall some of his duels. When the academies were closing down, Damian felt something familiar, but shortly after passed it off.

C76GrjL.jpg
Damian's Duel Disk represents is fairly standard, but has a rather darker coloring that fits him a little too well. However, it has been said that when Damian Fusion Summons, his Duel Disk grows entirely black and fuses with Damian's hand, resulting in an almost demonic appearance.

Ok, EDIT, i changed my character's deck to Chronomaly instead of fortune Ladies, because i discovered that one of the good combos of my deck didn't actually work that way, and fortune ladies were much more luck-dependant, so yeah, Changed!

[spoiler: Alice Luther]

Name: Alice Luther

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Occupation: Student

[spoiler: Appearance:]

improved_obelisk_blue_lyra_by_kanna17200
[spoiler: Personality:] Always considered the intellectual Alice prides herself on her knowledge. Always found reading books in the corner secluded to herself. To her books hold the keys to all the worlds knowledge and they were much more dense and thought provoking than some people. Most people she finds tend to bore her. Alice considers herself above her peers and their shallow emotions. Their petty teenage dramas pale in comparison to the true tragedies of the world. Nevertheless she does try her best to be civil and what she would define as "good listener." Unfortunately, Alice happens to be a malignant narcissist and a full blown sociopath. Fortunately, she is very good at not telling people about that. Life and death are nothing but simple concepts to her. Ergo the absence of life is not all that special. This means she does not truly value human life outside of those she is interested in. On the other hand if she were to happen to fall in love she would become the most supportive members that object of her affection has ever known. In a very twisted sense of the word it is one of her few "redeeming features." In terms of the actual playing of cards, Alice doesn't truly care, she is baffled by how popular a card game could become because cards do not tell a story. Well....they do, but she's never read it. If this institution wasn't her home she would probably be for the destruction of these kinds of institutions. However this is her home and she must defend it to the death...of others most likely.
[spoiler: Duel Disk:]

the_duel_disk_i_didn__t_ask_for_by_tyler
[spoiler: Biography:] Alice grew up a prodigy in London. She was able to enroll in University at the age of 13 and graduated with a degree in Botany at the age of 18. She was always fascinated with study of plant life. Nevertheless due to her lack of a complete childhood and being rushed into maturity she developed a deep and profound loathing for her parents. Incidentally, Alice's parents were brutally and horrifically murdered one night. It seems that she was the only survivor of this horrific crime, but she chose to never let that get her down. The case is still pending as no substantial evidence was found. Nevertheless without her parents she had to find some kind of employment. Interestingly enough the popular card game Duel Monsters has taken quite a hold of the substantial populace. The task seemed easy enough all she would have to do is pretend to care about the rules of a card game...how hard could that be?

It turns out that Alice was a natural at the game. Of course she made sure to get good grades in any written assignments, but perform mediocre in the actual practical applications of the game. This should at least keep her under the radar. She didn't think that people would actually catch on to her game, because who actually looks at the mediocre with anything other than disdain. The news that these institutions are going to be torn down was not the least bit unnerving. In fact she applauded world governments for actually doing something logical. Who would build a school dedicated to a glorified hobby? Unfortunately, for her everyone else seemed to care about this kind of situation. Annoyed with the social contract of having to fit in she definitely stepped up to be one of the students who would face the trails of the other worlds. She's always wanted to see the world anyway. Maybe there was something good coming out of this.
Name: Elson Garsh

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Occupation: Student

Desired Country/Region: Ireland/County Mayo

dueldisk25.png

Despite his cold blooded past and rather dark look, Elson is a very gentle individual, and tends to be fairly optimistic about life. He always is eager to start a conversation, and even more eager to keep it going. In class, he was always wanting to learn something new, so he always felt the need to pay attention, even if he already knew something. As a result, this has kept Elson as a duelist who focuses on strategy and theory, as opposed to speed and aggression. On the dueling ground itself, he is rather tense, and attempts to stay focus and calculate his moves at all times. He never minds losing, as for him it's just something he can learn from. However, all of such positives must come with a drawback or a catch to them. With Elson, it has been said for him to act much more carnage after activating his Fusion Spell, Demise of the Sacred Key. With this, Elson tends to play mind games with opponent, and trips over their strategies, often resulting in his opponent misplaying. While the people who faced it would definitely remember, Elson himself can never recall such things. He finds himself rather irritated by this, as he always likes to look back at his duels, but he carries on and just does what's best for his game.

Elson was always a lonely child. As a child, he never knew his father, and had very few friends. However, of those few friends, he became familiar with the game of Duel Monsters, quickly attaching himself to the cards, and slowly learning the game. However, at age 9, his mother disappeared, and was left at an orphanage. Having no one he knew and lacking a rather positive attitude, he was unable to get along well with his peers. For two months, he suffered for this, and one day had encountered a strange darkness. This darkness had promised him hope, and strangely gave him a Duel Monsters Deck to watch over; the Deck of the Darklords. Soon after, he met Damian Daku, and the two instantly connected through Duel Monsters and their related situation. Although Elson was often a step below Damian, he always helped him along the way. The two eventually started becoming top in the tournaments, usually going against each other in the finals or semi finals. When Elson joined Damian in Duel Academy, the competition began once again, but Elson's competence put him ahead, resulting him in being the best of his class in grades. This earned him some respect amongst his peers, and thus new friendships that shifted his perspective on life. With this, he sees an eye of hope as he leaves the Academies for the international journey. However, something didn't feel right as he left it, something that felt familiar....

Of course. There are three enemy factions, all of them are phoneys.

You will see about one or two of them in your desired country waiting to take you out in a duel. The factions are Lingering, Data and Replica all of them controlled by me, so no one would get a choice in that matter.

All you have to focus on is your lectures and your dueling with fellow students.
