Ask evilfusion stuff

I'm not sure exactly why I decided to do one of these, because in all honesty, I can't imagine many people have particular questions they're just dying to have me answer, but then again, considering I give very little information away freely, maybe there are.

Obviously, will reserve the option to not answer particular questions, but will simply respond as such.

Eh, go nuts.

I think the biggest question is. Who the hell are you? Like job, besides YGO what do you like to do? Are you even from planet earth? You're more ambiguous than Crabs before she got all social. At least in my experience.

Sounds about right.

I can at least easily answer that I am, in fact, a human born and raised on Earth.

Hobbies is less easily answered because I view such questions in an unnecessarily complicated manner that I can't seem to turn off. I always liked writing when I was younger, and still do to this day, but in the most recent years I seem to have a sporadic drive, and haven't taken any major steps to continuing or starting any writing projects. I also enjoy video games, thankfully less obsessively so than when I was younger, but I'm very particular about what games I tend to like, but can't seem to articulate what criteria I have.

how should i go nuts? I am a person of many nutty talents. They can be pretty ballsy sometimes.

Nothing really beats breaking into incredibly hammy fits of laughter in ridiculously public locations.

This is what I wonder the most. Just what IS an evilfusion?!

If I used De-Fusion on you, what would you split into?

Have you stopped smoking photon yet?

Do you like kites?

I've never considered myself a Fusion monster, so taken to its logical extreme...I'd split into a highly intelligent, but unambitious and harmless fiend, a creative, but introverted writer, and an easily distracted- ooh, shiny thing!

I've honestly never been amused by the "smokes photon" joke, if only because I despise drug abuse so intensely that I had to rewrite this sentence four times just to keep the excessive emotion out of it..

I've never seen the appeal to kites. I've also never had a kite that actually stayed airborne for longer than 2 seconds, so take that as you will.

How do you feel about generally being considered a prime example of a good mod?

A small part of me relishes the idea that I'm thought so highly of, but kept in check by my tendency to be skeptical of praise. I enjoy it, but I don't NEED it.

I also am not entirely sure what about me others view as being a "prime example". I am aware of some traits, but suspect those same traits have the opposite effect on other people. While fascinated about what other people think of me, I'm usually disinclined to try to uncover answers, since asking may appear egotistical, and people don't heap praise on me constantly. So at best, I have "minimal criticism" as my assurance that I'm "a good mod".

To sound egotistical: What do you think of me?

I debated how to respond in a way that wouldn't be insulting or outright hypocritical.

I don't bond with people quickly. A very basic requirement seems to be that I need to interact with someone directly for a period of time to really form an opinion of them. If they either don't interact with me often, or if the interactions aren't particularly noteworthy or meaningful, it's very likely I'll be overall completely indifferent.

On the plus side, I do know you exist, so you're doing better than...a third of my coworkers or so. And I don't hate you. But I don't have any particular insight into you, either.

Ok, I'll stop.

Though, I was hoping you'd catch the Kaito reference in that kite question :O

When will you pass the torch of Galaxy-Eyes Mastery to me?

Probably when I leave the site forever. Or if I inexplicably start hating Galaxy-Eyes. Which I don't see happening.

I did catch it, I just chose not to acknowledge it.

On that note of video games, which one is your favorite? Using your own personal criteria of course.

I'm extremely fond of Metroid Prime.

When will we reveal to the masses that we're the same person?

What is it about Galaxy-Eyes that you like so much?

Huh...I'm not entirely sure.

For one, it is Kaito's ace, and I found Kaito to be exceptionally badass in his debut. Galaxy-Eyes is a parallel to Blue-Eyes, which I always liked, but Galaxy-Eyes also has an effect that in most practical purposes, means it won't die by battle, so overpowering Galaxy-Eyes is fairly difficult to pull off, so it applies pressure even when in DEF, and makes using equip cards to buff monsters a near waste of resources.

Plus, Galaxy-Eyes looks pretty awesome aesthetically, and its name is fantastic sounding. And its support cards tend to be pretty neat. And then even the other "Galaxy-Eyes" cards are awesome in their own way. Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon, Neo Galaxy-Eyes, Prime Photon Dragon, Dark Matter Dragon, Full Armor Photon Dragon.

Ultimately, it's just one of those cards you just sort of take a shine to, even if it's not competitively viable. Galaxy getting really good support means the Deck is actually really strong in a casual setting, which makes Galaxy-Eyes, as the main card, even more awesome because casual standards struggle more to get over it, making it seem stronger than it really is.

What are your thoughts on the staff as a whole in it's current state, what do you think our biggest flaws are, and what do you think we should be doing more of/less of moving forward.

Wow. That's a major question, and rather complicated on several levels.

Sadly, much of the staff is somewhat disconnected as a whole, although this could be a fault on my end, due to my somewhat distant demeanor, so I don't really interact with much of the staff members on a regular basis. On the bright side, I don't really have any pressing gripes about individual mods, so I would say the staff is fairly solid, barring those currently struggling with activity issues that aren't within their control, such as real life and technical problems.

Communication is a major flaw. We seem extremely good at communicating things like "I'm going to have an activity issue", and really bad at communicating things like "I've been messing around with user groups in the ACP", or "this crazy incident just happened when everyone else was off-line".

is this guy a relative of yours or something?

Nope. A bit too loud and high-pitched to really be entertaining, sadly. But the concept is delightful.

Shouldnt the issue be COMPLETELY opposite? Activity and stuff is a case by case basis, but messing with the ACP means messing with the board as a whole...

Pretty sure that's his point.

Anyway, I completely agree, we should definitely make some changes.

I'm extremely fond of Metroid Prime.

10/10 taste.

What state do you live in, if you're American (and I'm pretty sure you are)?

I don't see you on DN lately. Have you been on/do you use any of the other sims/do you even have time?

What decks do you own IRL?

Are you still a DN admin?

(as a side note, asking that last one reminded me of when you were watching one of my games, and someone insulted me. You admin'd up and gave him a game loss and it was the funniest thing that happened that night.)

I just replayed Prime and Prime 2 like two weeks ago.

I live in Wisconsin.

I rarely have been on DN in the past year. Part of it is time, but also fairly low interest. I don't want to face random people, so I'm only really willing to face people I know from YCM. Half of them have probably disappeared, and another bunch are either rarely on, or have rarely accepted a challenge in the first place, which has caused me to lose interest in even trying. I occasionally pop on just to see if new cards got added and study them a bit, or tweak builds, and sometimes to make a rough build if I was to collect the cards to make the RL Deck. I did manage to get a Duel against Black a few days ago, which was fun.

I have often built a bunch of Decks in RL, but then disassemble them to make a different Deck, sometimes because the Deck was still too incomplete to continue working with, or it just didn't interest me long-term. I usually keep the disassembled cards together so I can rebuild them if I want to, since only the staples really transfer over to the replacing Deck.

Current Decks built: Rank-Up Heraldics (using proxies in anticipation of World Superstars). Galaxy-Eyes (using proxies in anticipation of World Superstars, but I haven't disassembled this one for ages), a TG Synchro build I saw on Youtube randomly, and Lightsworn (incomplete Extra Deck).

Disassembled Decks: Gogogo Zombie (disassembled to rebuild Heraldics), Gimmick Puppets (was performing poorly), Gladiator Beasts , Fire Kings, Frog Monarch, Rank 1 Ghostrick (incomplete. I was expecting Mystic Piper to get a reprint in the 5Ds Collection. I was very upset when I found out it wasn't, and I wasn't willing to pay $8 a piece for a 3-of card for a gimmicky fun Deck)
