Toffee.
2 Level 5 monstersOnce per turn, during either player's turn, you can activate 1 of these effects.● When a monster effect is activated on the field, OR when a Normal Spell/Trap Card is activated: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; the activated effect becomes "Destroy 1 Spell/Trap Card your opponent controls".● You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; each player with a hand shuffles their entire hand into the Deck, then each player draws the same number of cards they shuffled into the Deck. Here's a random thought~While we all know the 2nd effect can fuck up a hand that was loaded with stuff from an earlier point in the and/or you know they added specific stuff and it's just waiting for you now. K.The first effect is a bit of an oddity, though. I mean for all intensive purposes, a lot of cool stuff that is commonly seen is usually a Normal Spell/Trap, and this card forces it to be something different all together. Changing monsters effects a bit more subjective, since it can only change ones that activate on the field.'Course, not saying this card should have any relevance, I'm just noting that it has potential for shenanigans.....'Cept, Level 4s are more relevant then 5s; Go figure.Discuss. (GigaDrillBreaker)
for all intensive purposes All intents and purposes. Nothing about these purposes is intensive. Sorry for correcting you, but misuse of phrases is a pet peeve of mine. Anyway, as for the card... It is summonable by Ptolemaios, which allows for use in a fun little toolbox-y deck. Now, if for whatever reason you had no spells or traps on board (perhaps you already used up Alpha and Skybridge) this could completely an opponent trying to use the effect of... I don't know, whatever, basically just use it to muck up your opponent's plans for advancing their own board state. As you said, it is an oddity. Second effect is useful against a variety of things. Messes up Deneb against Tellars, shuffles away a Shaddoll Fusion that has been recovered when you kill their El-Shaddoll, all sorts of nifty little things in a meta full of search effects. Too bad Moralltach is at 1, otherwise this could be really powerful in an artifact engine.
newhat
Since you can't use the effect replacement if you don't control Spells or Traps, neither of these effects is straight-up Laggia-style negation. They are dependent on killing momentum.
Armoire
Unfortunately, because Moralltach is at 1, the plays that Durendal can do are not as good anymore. A little off topic, but I think it would be neat if they decided to make more Artifact Xyz monsters; like another combination of two artifacts.
