So I hate horror, but I just heard a neato creepypasta type thing, and decided that we haven't had a thread about scary stuff in a while.

A little girl is playing in her room when she hears her mother call for her.

"Come here and help me with the dishes," her mother says.  The little girl is happy to help, so she leaves her room

and heads toward the kitchen.  As she walks down the hall, she's the closet door open.  A hand reaches out and grabs her,

pulling her inside and closing the door.  Terrified, she turns to look, and sees her mother.

"Don't go in the kitchen," her mother says, "I heard it too."

I'm sorry if this is a common one that everyone has heard, but I chose not to look it up because I am a lazy motherfucker.

Also mods if this belongs in misc feel free to move it.

That's  scary  stuff!    I'll  think  twice  next  time  it's  my  turn  to  do  dishes.  チ

「Chi—Class」 is playing in her room when she hears her 「Admiral」 call for her.
"「Chi—Class」, come here and do the dishes," her 「Admiral」 says.  The good little shipgirl is happy to help, so she leaves her room and heads toward the kitchen.  As she walks down the hall, she sees the closet door open.  A hand reaches out and grabs her, pulling her inside and closing the door.  Terrified, she turns to look, and sees her 「Admiral」.
"Don't go in the kitchen," her 「Admiral」 says, "I heard it too."

tru stori

I've seen a similar one where a dad is tucking in his daughter and the daughter says there's a monster in the closet. He goes to the closet and sees his daughter who says there's a monster in her bed.

Creepypastas are amazing, as is /r/nosleep. One of my personal favorites is Autopilot, which is about how our minds tend to work unconsciously, making us forget important things while in a routine. It blew my mind, and the story is based on true events, which is very scary.

I think the only creepypastas I've ever read were Slenderman, Sonic.exe, and Jeff the Killer.

I just saw this post and I actually remember that one.

I remember reading a micropasta just to see what it was. Basically, a kid was flying a kite, not knowing that it was her mother's skin. Who knew that 5 lines of text was enough to send shivers down my spine?

creepypastas are so bland and generic, the only interesting one (in my opinion) was Candle Cove, stuff like Sonic.exe, Ben Drowned, Slenderman etc. is so boring

the SCP files (in my opinion) were fun to read too

there is this ting called opinions

use em plz

also u must rep me because i am me

Am I the only person here who is generally scared when reading creepypastas?

I gotta agree, Sonic.exe and Slenderman were a lot creepier and more interesting in their visual representations than their stories.

i didnt really find them any creepier in their visual representations, though i admit that sonic.exe was mildly entertaining.
