I Hate Snatch Steal
Requirement: Make a card that summons fusion monsters from the extra deck in an "unusual manner": anything that's not a standard fusion summon procedure qualifies. Note: A card such as Parallel word fusion that says "take needed fusion materials from blah place and put them in blah other place then fusion summon a fusion monster from your extra deck" doesn't count as an "unusual manner" unless it has a significant twist to it (like future fusion does for example, since it has a delay). A card like cyber dragon nova also qualifies. The summon type can be a fusion summon, but it doesn't have to be. Entry deadline is 2/17/14 Voting deadline will be announced once I get the entry (Will likely be one week long) Voting deadline is 2/18/14 As usual, first to 3 votes wins or most votes by the deadline ( I can't believe I forgot to mention that before) Prize: winner gets 1 like from the loser edit: Written cards are not allowed. However votes based soley on the basis of artwork flavor will not be accepted (I think that's covered by the section's general rules but whatever) Looks like my opponent put his name on his entry, so I'll do the same. This card is also treated as a spell card while in your deck, except while being excavated. Cannot be normal summoned/set. Must first be special summoned (from your hand) by banishing 1 "Polymerization" or "Fusion" card and 2 monsters with different attributes from your graveyard. Once per turn: you can send 1 monster from your hand or monster zone to the graveyard; special summon 1 fusion monster from your extra deck that lists the sent monster by name as a fusion material (this special summon is treated as a fusion summon) but it cannot attack your opponent directly. Creator comments, rulings, ect: Rulings: - This card is a monster for the purposes of reasoning, monster gate, kuribandit, ect but is a "Fusion" spell card for deck search effects, such as Sabatiel the Philosopher's stone. You can only summon monsters that list a specific monster by name as a fusion material with this card's effect. "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" is listed by name " 1 "HERO" monster isn't EG Elemental HERO Shining Flare WIngman can be summoned by sending Elemental HERO Sparkman but elemental HERO the shining cannot be. Comments: The idea was to be able to base a deck losely on this card, possibly a HERO deck focusing on the classic heroes of the GX anime. Of course, you can't have a deck with an unsearchable ace in this day and age, so I made it work with sabatiel. Creator comments, rulings, ect: Inspired by black and white wave. Lovecraft can use this, and decks like Mecha Phantom Beasts that can make Xyz with their Synchros might find some use out of it. Might be a tad overpowered though. Flash Flyer - Sakura
I said I would vote on this once my internet stopped being stupid; suppose I'll live up to that promise and vote. (Although, you guys still had 3-4 days to get others) Fusion Mistress makes certain Fusion monsters way too easy to get out on the field. As mentioned, BEWD is a prime candidate; an instant 4500 ATK monster that CAN be revived if destroyed and things is something that really shouldn't happen so easily. In a lot of cases, I could probably see HEROs using this card to get out a lot of their older Fusions that no one plays anymore; given they can fulfill this card's summoning requirements. B&W Fusion basically requires that you use a Synchro to Xyz Summon a monster, and in return, allows you to detach said monster to get any Fusion Monster of equivalent Level of your choice. In MPBs, suppose you can use this to make Concoruda / Burei, make Dracossack or whatever R7s they like running; then detach for a free Level 7 of your choice with any restrictions removed. In that case, MPBs potentially have access to this (especially in conjunction with O-lion plays and things), although it cannot be revived later and lacks much synergy with the Deck. In any case, while the Synchro requirement might offset the potency of the effect, just remember that certain monsters have very strong effects because they HAVE strict requirements on their Fusion. Again with MPBs, potential Jacruslan -> Enterblathnir -> this into Anomalilith (see TCG). ------------ Overall, it's really a matter of a Synchro Xyz into a free Fusion of choice vs a 2-card Fusion of whatever monster, but with a direct attack lock. I hate doing this, but card C in this case. Basically, I don't particularly agree with the designs of both cards + what they do to make certain Fusion Monsters easier to summon; in light of the reasons that they have said restrictions/conditions to begin with. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Card C basically means that neither decides to win. For technical reasons, that would mean this ends in sudden death and someone has to vote. But otherwise, it's basically a draw. Probably best that you don't extend it farther, considering the state of 1v1s lately.
