Flash Flyer - Sakura
What is this now, my 5th AMA thread? I haven't been keeping track. So yeah, ask me anything and I'll respond. Just keep in mind that I reserve the right to not answer certain questions because of their nature; if it ever happens, I will explicitly say that. However, I don't foresee this happening...yet. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Most of the time (when I go out for college), it's casual; which pretty much means T-shirt, cargo pants and/or denim shorts (a bit baggy) and sneakers (right now, some Skechers Tone-ups I bought in 2011 or some Starter brand from Walmart). Lately, been wearing jeans because mornings are cold. Weekends, basically the above; except I wear slippers. Don't think I dress formally for occasions, except for very important things. I know I went to Hawaii Prince last April with my cousins from mainland; didn't really dress up for it (basically my casual outfit; though choosing a shirt that didn't stick out so much took a while)

HulkTySSJ2
1. Besides YCMaker, are you the top Moderator now? 2. Do you plan to "refresh" these forums anymore? They seem dead compared to Pojo... This place was SO lively 5-6 years ago... 3. Will you review/rate my Dragon Ball Gallery/Set?

Flash Flyer - Sakura
Its not even cold dude. I still sleep without a blanket, Oahu is freaking heaving heat. It's for the mornings when I have to leave for UH on the early bus at 5 am. Yeah, I don't have classes until 7-8 am on most cases; but gotta do it or else I'm standing up 20+ miles. Rest of the day is hot as heck though. 1. Besides YCMaker, are you the top Moderator now? 2. Do you plan to "refresh" these forums anymore? They seem dead compared to Pojo... This place was SO lively 5-6 years ago... 3. Will you review/rate my Dragon Ball Gallery/Set? 1. Night's the top moderator on YCM; as far as everyone else thinks. 2. When I applied for the CC mod position, there are some ideas that I wanted to implement. Some have been done; others are still WIP-ish. I suppose you can attribute the inactivity lately to life (considering a lot of us are older + most likely have less time to spend online) and probably the attitude of some members at one point. 3. I generally don't review really large sets, because it takes a while to grade them. That might also be why a lot of Archetypes don't get looked at. For reference, 10-15 cards is acceptable/ideal. I know that my Psychic Dragons are 30-40+ now; should really split them into two versions. Do you consider yourself a robot (because i do sometimes...i mean, you seem to be emotionless, thats kinda sad;;; If you're getting this from that thread in C&S, then no I don't. Basically, I don't exactly have "people" skills, which I can probably attribute to the general mentality of people I have to deal with on a regular basis. Most often, that means a lot of other college students; whom I more or less don't care because of how they act, but I should expect that sort of thing. I admit that I do need to show emotion when I take care of things around the site, but I'm not the type to be Mr. Personality towards people. While being friendly with you all is helpful, as it'll make my job easier to handle (and probably will result in getting more help with stuff, because even I don't know everything); being on good terms is the main thing so far. LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
How much of a percentage do you base your Pokemon preferences off of competitive stuff? What is your favorite Pokemon that isn't very good in competitive? (Or just low-tier if that'd be easier)
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Let's see, I like Jolteon and stuff because of design and stats; though because of the powercreep, he got shafted to RU from OU. Then there was Charizard, but his low tiering would've only applied prior to XY/ORAS due to lack of Mega Evo. As for other stuff, I really don't know; a lot of the Pokes I end up liking tends to be in the higher tiers (mostly evolved/legendaries). I guess going by RU stuff, Delphox is cool but RU because of its niche and stuff. One of the Swords of Justice got shafted to NU, and at the time, it was UU-ish (I more/less liked it). Also Zangoose (which I'm still pissed about not being able to catch in AS; but I have X so can just trade them over) -- In most cases, I suppose a bulk of my choices are based on their competitive aspect at the time + moveset. I like most legendaries though; can't think of the ones I'm not fond of; probably Uxie or something. While I still like Pikachu, it's not as much lately. HulkTySSJ2
Why not review just 5-10 cards a day then? This place is seriously D-E-A-D...... I get 2-4 comments a year now and none of them are really detailed, no requests, etc. Just "Cool", "Good job", "I like them", etc. You seem to be one of...if not the only one left besides me, card reviewers. Help a brother in need. lol Been working on a SINGLE gallery for over 7 years now.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
I'm not really familiar with DBZ, so if I grade anything, probably will be related to meta and other things, and less on flavor. Then again, I don't know if the Advanced Clause has anything to do with the reduced activity. You only need to explain your opinion on the cards in 2-3 sentences and you're fine. Not like we expect you to understand the meta. But yeah, 5-10 cards is something that is allowed; I know it's hard to grade a full set, so you can do bits and pieces. Techi☺
Could you explain the colored topic title shop item for me? I understand that it'd change the color of a topic title and all, but there is a little I'd like to know further: I am assuming this applies to one topic, am I wrong? What is the duration of this shop item? Though if I use it on one topic, I'm certain I'd get one color and stick with it, what if I change my mind? I'd happily stick with one color regardless, but is the possibility there for said topic color to be changed again? I have heard that editing the first post of said topic would remove the coloring, and I could ask for it to be returned. Is this correct? I feel like it is. Would it be okay if I use it on a OOC rp thread that I plan to use for a number of 'seasons' of IC rp that are technically the same Rp? And should I use the second post in said OOC thread to be edited over and over with the details of said RP to avoid causing the previously mentioned problem? I read the rules a while back when I first started playing on here(This would be a few years ago.) Unfortunately, I have yet to get to the newly stated rules. I will be reading them just after posting this, though if isn't too much, could you point out if anything I mentioned earlier would be working against the current rules? Sorry if it's a lot, forgive me. Edit: I've now refreshed myself on the rules. Not a lot seems to have changed, at least not significantly in terms of practical appliance. Though: I'm still sketched on the RP Completion reward thing. Not sure on how that works. I probably shouldn't add it as a question given that I've asked like a million things in one post. (Gosh I hope that isn't spam...)
Flash Flyer - Sakura
This is a thread to ask questions regarding stuff you want to know about me, not for any forum-related questions. Those go in Q&A. But I'll answer them here. 1. Yes, the topic color item only works for one topic. You need to buy multiple ones if you wish to have more than 1 colored topic. 2. It's permanent. 3. If you edit the post, then yes it will disappear. That's why we advise color changing a topic that you won't edit too often. As for getting a new one, it can be done, but just note that one of us has to buy the item for you + send it over; then you reimburse it. (Or you could buy a new one) 4. You might want to talk to Aix or Nai about this one. They're the RP moderators and know this subject better than I do. I'm basically the lead CC moderator (well, Zextra is technically my senior in this respect, but the hierarchy here in CC is complicated) alongside Q&A and Intro mod. (I suppose you can say that I'm interim lead CC mod in Zex's absence, or that both of us share that title. But we're digressing, aren't we?) RPs aren't my speciality, sorry about that. Cierfrost
Assuming you live in Ewa or that region (seems like it given that you have to catch the A-Bus or so to UH Manoa). Anything interesting to see or do down there?
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Unlike Kapolei, ʻEwa really doesn't have too much to offer. At most, we have a new shopping center + animal hospital somewhere near Hawaii Prince Golf (near Ewa Gentry). There's technically 3 shopping areas; one's near the road that leads to Kapolei (that one has a Foodland and Longs), next one is the above (with Safeway, City Mill, Walgreens and whatever else), last one's in the older part (well, near Ilima Intermediate). There are some parks around the place, including one across from the high school. I've only seen about 2-3 of them though. I know there are 2 golf courses nearby the hospital, although I don't know if you're into golf (I'm not). ------ So yeah, not really much. There's a Walmart nearby, but that's in Kunia. (P.S. There's probably more, but the farthest in ʻEwa I've been is where my high school is. Probably more down Ft. Weaver; I know the National Weather Service (Hurricane tracker) is down there)
Cierfrost
More into bowling myself. I like watching Golf, but not participating. Can't. I can barely bowl above a 100 due to my failing depth perception. Golf would be a nightmare. Sounds like I'd be better off just sticking to Waipahu and Kapolei for major shopping and general cruising near home (I live further down in Waianae right next to Makaha) then. It has a Walgreens too now. I've been trying to get out more but if Ewa is that... barren. I'd rather not go discovering on my own.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Yeah, there's really not too much to do. We do have a library (which is jointly shared with the high school), but aside from it, pretty barren. As noted, there's probably more things to do past Ft. Weaver / North Road, but at this point, I really don't know, considering that I never had a reason to go down there. In most cases of the word, it's essentially a residential area, with the necessary schools and things. (We have a Zippy's + 7-Eleven, but pretty much all of the island has one of each somewhere within driving distance) I remember that we had a beach somewhere near the middle/high school, considering a lot of my classmates at the time went there a bit. But then again, Ko Olina's closer to where you live.
Cierfrost
... So is Pokai Bay. And the Waianae Boat Harbor is right across the street (literally) if my Grandma's Husband ever feels like taking me with him, should I feel the urge to go deep sea diving.
