SPP, the Super Powered People (interest check)

This is a RP that I hope to host based on a story that I used to believe when I was younger.  It is a story of superheroes and the fact that they actually exist in real life.  However, due to... er... certain circumstances, they are not allowed to reveal their powers to humans or they will suffer erasure from the universe.

 

However, that's beside the point.  This is going to be my first time hosting a RP and I just wanted to know if this was something people wanted.

 

Details:

• There is a definite beginning, middle, and end with the beginning being the most open ended.  However, because of the nature of the RP, though there is going to be an overarching story, the RP will mostly be moved along through player interaction.
• The setting of the RP takes place on Earth slightly to the future from now.  Sorry, no flying cars, but there are the beginnings of hologram technology and dna transplanting has been deemed safe.
• Powers are very open-ended and are divided into 4 subgroups: Physical powers (super-strength, stretchability, etc.), Mental Powers (telekinesis, persuasion, etc.), Elemental Powers (heat powers, shadow powers, etc.), and Other (Atom shifter, dimensional walker, etc.).  As "Other" tends to be the most powerful, there needs to be a background reason to have gained these types of powers and they will be tougher to control.
• SPPs become such when infected with Delta rays from one of 2 main crystals, a red one called Rolyte (enhances one's own hidden desires), or a blue one called Pemalyte (does nothing extra).  You could also be born an SPP from a line of SPPs ("pure" SPPs, those who touched the crystals directly, have generally greater powers than born SPPs, though they have training from a much younger age).
• Anything can become an SPP, but humans are generally the most common on-Earth choice as they have the capacity to handle the radiation without instantly dying.  However, on rare occasions, animals and even some plants have been known to handle the radiation and become SPPs.  Earth has become a haven for certain otherworldly beings as well, so that is acceptable as well.
• SPPs have a powerful general initial skill set.  They have all enhanced skill from their race.  If a human becomes an SPP, they gain a strength to throw a car and run at a top speed of 50 mph.  They also gain a greater mental capacity and have near-bullet reaction time.  Their toughness is also increased to handle getting run over by a train or even toughing the third rail.  However, if an elephant became an SPP, their strength and toughness would be higher while mental capacity and reaction time would be lower.
