The Magnet Warriors Are Back!

They are back as Pendulum Monsters. Why not right? Here is what I thought of. If you see any problems with the text, let me know.

I'm not sure if this is how Valkyrion works but I feel like it should. So just a small errata on the card.

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by Tributing 1 "Alpha The Magnet Warrior", "Beta The Magnet Warrior", and "Gamma The Magnet Warrior" from your hand and/or your side of the field. You can Tribute this card to target 1 "Alpha The Magnet Warrior", "Beta The Magnet Warrior", and "Gamma The Magnet Warrior" in your Graveyard and/or Extra Deck; Special Summon those targets (this is a quick effect).[/spoiler]

I'm going to add more support a little bit later after I fix the problems with these cards. Let me know what you guys think. I see some potential with just these cards for some awesome plays.

Okay, well, the first thing I noticed is the scales. Beta and Gamma both have scales of 9, which is a problem since there are no scales higher then 7 without some form of limitation. This is easily fixed by making their scale become 5 when there isn't another magnet warrior in the other pendulum zone, or having the scale 9 cards prevent you from special summoning monsters other than Magnet Warriors (Which seem to be the common restrictions). That said, I'm not sure why you have both a scale of 9 and Magna's special summon condition; pendulum summoning is so much easier that there's not much point, especially when the pendulums are easily searchable. The "treat this monster in the extra deck as if it's in the grave" bit is also unnecessary, since you could easily just have Valkyrion's effect special summon from both the graveyard and extra deck. It seems like you wanted to make the cards without changing any of the text beyond adding pendulum effects to the Magnet Warriors.

 

I apologize if this seems a bit harsh, but... well, you're going to have to go a bit further than this if you want these guys to be competitive. I'd suggest that you change up Valkyrion's effect a little, and either give the magnet warriors monster effects or give their pendulum effects some sort of synergy with the Normal Monster Pendulums like Dragoons of Draconia. And either add a summoning restriction to the 9-scale warriors, or just lower the scale to 5.

I see what you're saying. And you're right. I wanted to just add the Pendulum effects to the 3 Warriors but I agree about adding that little bit to Valkyrion instead of adding that line of text to all the Pendulum effects. I also agree with you on the scale, 9 was a bit too much, honest was rushing at that point. I will change it to 5.

I don't think I would need to add monster effects because as it would be now, it's pretty strong. I am thinking of some spell/trap support however.

Edit 2: Cards have been edited. Scales are more balanced and Valkyrion has been changed to also special summon from the Extra Deck.
