(GigaDrillBreaker)
Repress Instant - U Exile target noncreature spell, then put a time counter on it. If it doesn't have suspend, it gains suspend. Buyback 2U A variation of Delay, which in and of itself is a subpar counterspell. This card on its own causes no large issue, and, though Memory Crystal makes is MUCH more powerful, the non-creature clause prevents it from taking anything over. Notably, even without the buyback, this can be used to stop both x spells and countermagic very effectively. I like this one. Epochal Spark Instant - 1R ~ deals 2 damage to target creature or player. Buyback 1RR Magma Jet, but instead of scrying one is given the versatility of buyback. The double red in the buyback cost makes it more difficult to abuse, but this card has the added utility of being an infinite-mana win condition. The advantage this has over cards like Fireball is that it can be used once or twice before acquiring infinite mana, to take out threats, or even as a worse magma jet. Another well-designed card in my eyes. Incomplete Burial Sorcery - B Target player sacrifices a creature. At the beginning of that player's next upkeep, return the sacrificed creature to the battlefield tapped under its owner's control. Buyback 1B A variation of Cruel Edict, this card feels MUCH riskier than the previous two. The low initial cost, combined with the low buyback cost, make this an incredibly powerful tool against decks with a lower creature count, such as the modern Bogles deck. In that matchup, it stalls their creature for 2 turns, while also removing any enchantments from it. This can then be done repeatedly until the win is attained. Not nearly as big a fan of this one. Cursory Surveyal Sorcery - 1G Look at the top 3 cards of your library. You may reveal a land card from among them and put it onto the battlefield tapped, and if you do, put the rest on the bottom of your library. Buyback G Mathematically speaking, you are likely to hit a land with this, though it is not guaranteed. This plays similarly to Farseek in decks that run at least 24 lands, and can do so repeatedly. Though it would be unlikely for such a card to have a large impact on modern or other eternal formats, it is still an edgy concept, design-wise. Blazing Safeguard Instant - 1W Counter target spell that targets a permanent you control unless your opponent pays (2). Buyback 2 I have always enjoyed the concept of white getting anti-targeting countermagic, but this card's high cost, as well as the fact that it is not a hard counter, make it feel like it will often be worse than Mana Tithe, which, though powerful, sees very little play. Tell me what you think! Overall, I enjoyed this cycle, each making a clear reference to some past card while still seeming fresh and new.

You can target yourself and get something like a Sheoldred effect per turn, but you have to spare 3 mana per turn to do so. But I agree with Giga, overall it's quite too strong, especially vs Bogles. Cirrus
Wow I didn't even know Bogle.dek was a thing. I mostly just considered "imaginary Standard" and EDH. Edict effect cost increase to BB to make it a little less annoying to deal with (but still hopefully playable?). Or maybe I should increase the buyback to like ... 4 mana. Which one? Yeah, the green card was intentionally edgy and the white effect was intentionally nerfed. Green one originally picked up 2 and white one originally cost just W. EDIT: Decided to just increase buyback. Bad-Edict for BB is pretty bad. Unfortunate for EDH users but hey Sprout Swarm is playable so why not!
