I made an archtype "Parallel Dragon" which focuses in making almost every type of summon without getting broken (or it's what i'm trying to prevent). There is a few ace cards, and support which can grow as long your comments below suggest. Please, if you detect errors in lore, or an error about the metagame, let me know in comments. Thanks. Also, as a bonus, i'm making a prototype called Star Monster Card. Star Monster Cards are summoned by fullfilling the conditions in a box in the middle. [spoiler='Monsters'] Parallel Dragon LIGHT / Level 5 / Wyrm / Effect Can be Special Summoned (from your hand) by returning 1 "Parallel Dragon" you control to your hand. Gains 1100 ATK if it was summoned by this way. Otherwise, you can Normal Summon this card without tributing. ATK / 1000 DEF/ 1000 Parallel RAY Dragon LIGHT / Level 5 / Wyrm / Effect (Treated as "Parallel Dragon" when this card is banished). You can discard this card from your hand: draw 1 card. Target 1 Effect Monster that targets a "Parallel Dragon": Special Summon this card; then negate the effects of that target. ATK / 1000 DEF/1000 Parallel SORCERER Dragon LIGHT / Level 5 / Wyrm / Effect (Face-up this card is treated as "Parallel Dragon"). Can be Normal Summoned without Tributing if you control "Parallel Dragon". Once per turn: you can target 1 Wyrm-Type Xyz monster you control: detach 1 Xyz Material from that target; then destroy 2 cards on the field. ATK/2000 DEF/2000 Parallel DUST Dragon LIGHT / Level 5 / Wyrm / Effect (This card is treated as "Parallel Dragon" in your Graveyard). You can discard this card from your hand to negate the activation of a Spell/Trap card that targets a "Parallel Dragon" monster you control and destroy it. Can be Normal Summoned without tributing. ATK/1600 DEF/800 Parallel KURI Dragon LIGHT / Level 5 / Wyrm / Effect (Face-up this card is treated as "Parallel SORCERER Dragon" and all efects of this card are activated from your hand.) When you take damage from battles involving a "Parallel Dragon": Negate that battle; then Special Summon this card. ATK/2400 DEF/100 [/spoiler] [spoiler='Spells'] Parallel Universe Field Spell Card (All "Parallel Dragon" monsters gain 1000 ATK. Either player can use the effect of this card) Once during either player's turn, if you control only "Parallel Dragon" monsters, you can target 1 "Parallel Universe" card from your deck: add that target to your hand. Must Fusion, Xyz or Synchro Summon the turn you activate this effect, or destroy this card. Stardust of Parallel Universe Quick Play Spell Card (Can only be activated if a "Parallel Dragon" would be destroyed by card effects.) Target that monster: that target cannot be destroyed this turn; then Special Summon 1 Level 5 monster from your graveyard. Synthesis of Parallel Universe Normal Spell Card Target 1 "Parallel FUSION Dragon" Fusion Monster in your Extra Deck: Banish all monster(s) listed as Fusion Material Monster(s) in that target (from your hand, field or graveyard); then Special Summon that target. [/spoiler] [spoiler='Traps'] Summoning of a Parallel Dust Normal Trap Crad Excavate 1 "Parallel DUST Dragon" or 2 "Parallel Dragon"(s) from your deck; add that excavated card(s) to your hand. Black Thunder of Parallel Universe Normal Trap Card Tribute 1 "Parallel Dragon" you control: destroy 2 cards on the field; then (if it's your turn) you can perform an aditional Normal Summon. [/spoiler] [spoiler='Extra Deck'] Parallel FUSION Dragon LIGHT / Level 5 / Wyrm / Fusion / Effect "Parallel Dragon" + "Parallel SORCERER Dragon" (Face-up this card is treated as "Parallel Dragon".)Must first be Fusion Summoned, and when you do, banish 1 card on the field. Once per turn, if this card battles and that battle is negated: target 1 card on the field; then destroy that target and this card can attack once in a row. ATK/ 2500 DEF/2000 Parallel XYZ Dragon LIGHT / Rank 5 / Wyrm / Xyz / Effect 2 "Parallel Dragon" Level 5 monsters (Face-up this card is treated as "Parallel Dragon") Once during either's player turn: you can negate the effect of a face-up card your opponent controls and destroy it; then detach 1 Xyz Material from this card. ATK/ 2500 DEF/2000 [/spoiler] [spoiler='Star Prototype Monster'] [attachment=43208:parallel_star.png] Parallel STAR Dragon LIGHT / Level 7 / Wyrm / Star / Effect Star Condition: You must have 3 banished cards. Target an opponent's card effect that would negate a Summon or destroy monsters you control: banish this card, negate that target's effect and destroy it; then Special Summon this card by returning 1 of your banished monsters to the Deck. Once per turn: you can banish 1 "Parallel Dragon" from your hand. ATK/ 3000 DEF/2500 For now, this Star monster is really useless for the archtype. Black Temple Gaurdian Posted January 28, 2015 Report Share Posted January 28, 2015 Star monsters already exist, see: Lightray, Guardian Eatos, etc. Why are all the dragons wyrm type as apposed to Dragon? Just a bit of thoughts Kuri seems a little OP, i would add to its effect, maybe "When you take damage from battles involving a "Parallel Dragon" and that card is destroyed: Special Summon this card from your hsnd" Stardust of Parallel Universe should really be a trap card, it is a bit overpowered otherwise since it has a negate effect and can be used from your hand on your turn, this keeps an opponent from activating things like gravity bind etc on your turn... which, seems reasonable except for the fact that it makes it basically impossible to use traps with fear of your opponent having this card.... Now, about Synthesis... There are a few spells that allow you to fusion summon with cards in your graveyard, but i dont think i have seen one that also includes your hand and grave... i feel like that is too strong, basically guarantees a fusion no matter what Other then that, i don't like that all of the parallel dragons are level 5 and can be summoned without tributes, especially with no downside whatsoever... This makes xyz summoning a rank 5 xyz monster ridiculously easy, especially with there being so few cards taht negate the normal summon of a monster. Nice idea altogether, though....
