So, today's all about me and my opinions and shit! Now, not many of you know me, but as the day goes on I'll be editing this post to just give you a brief history of little ol' me. The one nobody ever remembers and I can't blame them for not.

[spoiler='Autobiography']So, I'll do just do a rewind back to when I first actually signed up, which was before I started posting. I had been involved with dumb internet forums before, but I was still a huge fan of Yu-Gi-Oh! and such. When I first signed up, I had the idea of Justice Soldiers as an archetype, which was an elite force of blah blah, no one cares. That scrappy custom archetype is why I have this name. I was really proud of them, and when I decided to finally post I did my best to not look like an idiot. That was quite the failure, and it would result in my detachment from cardmaking on this site. Then, my cousin introduced me to RP.

So, after learning about RP, it becomes a bit of a passion of mine. I checked some stuff up, I signed up for off-site RPs that went nowhere, but ultimately I had to slightly grow in skill. Which brought me back here. My first RP attempts were extremely mediocre at best and godawful at other times. But after a while I got into the swing and wanted to start hosting RPs. I went out of my way to do slightly unique RPs, but most never started. The few that did died mostly because I just couldn't keep up. I had IRL things to do and it kept piling on. This resulted in my first heavy absence from YCM. I just upped and left. No trace. My characters forgotten. Gone. It'd be about half a year before my return.

Now, the first big return is really where I gained most of my insight to the nature of forum culture. For example, a lot of my older friends were gone and the only people recognized were mods and some bigger names on the sight. For the most part, I came in a little late and left, and it all became rather interesting. Newer RPs I made needed to be more appealing to a different audience than I remembered. This is where I hit my most experimental RPs as well as cleaned up my older cards. This is really where you get the Justice Master anyone remembers. Well no one remembers me, I just mean the general personality and tone I sent across was very clear here. I was still a bit too excited and young and stupid to be an entirely great member of the site, but this is the closest I was to regular. Then life kicked again.

If I remember correctly, this was after I made my Superhero RP, whatever I named it. What occurred then was a huge slump in my academic performance. Put simply, my grades got bad. I could no longer focus on RPing, I had things to do. This was also shortly after my cousin moved in and we began to heavily discuss RPing and how it should be done. He moved to one-on-one stuff, while I stuck with play-by-post. Now, with grades no longer crappy I came back with the intention to innovate or at least bring more experimental RPs. Ironically, this is where I got some more formulaic RPs out of my system. I also joined more during this time and this is probably where I'd say I had the most friends. I RP'd pretty frequently amongst people like Kung, Asuka, the person I only remember as Dark Magician Girl, and Aix. It was my longest stay, and probably best described as The Golden Age of Justice Master. It was all downhill from there.

Now, after the Golden Age and a personal absence occurring due to vacations and such, I made my third big return. Honestly, this is probably where my RPing skills were at their peak, but my presence slowly became the RP sign of death. If I joined or hosted it, it died out pretty quick. It was aggravating to everyone in the community, because it really wasn't a me problem as much as it was the revival of Yu-Gi-Oh! RPs. The more unique style had become the norm for a little while, so getting back to the cliches was nice and cool. But I just couldn't keep interest. I tried, damned if I didn't, but I just would fade out. I ended up spreading myself too thin here and other sites and just burned out. This would begin the era of my on and off coming to YCM for a short time to RP.

For the span of about a year and a half, I kept getting off of YCM only to come back on. I'd join an RP and quickly abandon it as I just couldn't keep myself motivated. It was stupid and I tried real hard to stay like getting more interested in general game design, but I just couldn't stay. My time was long over and it was just about time for me to go. I've stopped by every once and a while since then, but I did no more RPing. This takes us to right now where I decided to name a day after myself and make a bold claim that everyone would hate me by the end of the day. Do they? Of course not, my goals are always out of range. Today was a cynical retelling of the way I acted so that people could argue against it and show why many of my overly critical complaints were very flat. But today was a bit more than just about me. My time's over, but I got one last stupid speech to give.[/spoiler]

[spoiler='Asuka Langley Sohryu']Now, I've already pretty much said what I need to to a point, but Asuka is probably the person I remember in the most positive light. She's practically been my friend on here for quite some time. When it comes to RPing and generally being pleasant, she's definitely the person I think of here. Her style of RPing is really what I looked up to the most and I probably would've never gotten half as okay as I was without seeing her great RPing. Of course, I'm just stating the same stuff over again. Asuka is awesome and should feel like such.[/spoiler]

[spoiler='Raine']Great RPer, and from my memory, a just as great person. I've seen of good RPs come from Raine and she did a lot well. Sadly, most of the RPing I remember was near the end of my actual activity here, so I don't really remember it all as well. Though I do overlook her some, I can without a doubt say she was pretty cool.[/spoiler]

[spoiler='Kyng']I'm not sure if I would call me and Kyng friends. It really wasn't the nature of how we interacted. Hell, we barely interacted really. That being said, he was easily one of the more impressive RPers here and I instantly saw him as a bit of an inspiration. Kyng did a lot of good things for this site's community and culture and I consider him invaluable to the nature of RPs on here. I respect him a lot for that.[/spoiler]

[spoiler='Aix']Man, I remember when Aix was still a newer member on the RP forums. I was still growing heavily in RP and Aix was doing better than I did when I started. Aix just really fit into the environment, and became Kyng and Asuka-level influential in my opinion on RPers here. It was kind of cool to see someone like that grow, even when I would get inactive, I'd come back and Aix had gotten insanely better each time. And now Aix is a mod. I gotta say, it puts a lot into perspective. But either way they chose the perfect person for the job.[/spoiler]

There are also a lot of people I honestly can't remember the names of for the life of me and many of them are still awesome and I don't want any of you to think I just overlooked you entirely. My lack of memory has no correlation to your abundance of amazing.

I'm glad you've finally admitted that I am your superior.

 

To be fair, Aid, I did say my goal for today was to be universally hated by YCM, but apparently I didn't even need to post a thing to do that.

Of course, you could be serious, and I'd have to agree.

Hated? Ha, you haven't even begun to climb that mountain. We're just publicly showing our apathy.

Not exactly. A public display of apathy is not posting. You went out of your way to digitally stick your tongue out at me. Not that I care, just don't lie when you care enough to post.

Well, I had quite a bit of absences for months on end, I generally stuck to a few RPs, though I'd be damned if I didn't try to host a bunch, and the only other board I really went to was the old custom card one. Even then, I was particularly forgettable due to an abundance of impressive and frequent RPers. I was just another of the vast many.
