I mean, let's be honest, was it ever really an issue enough to affect strategy all that much? I don't remember it being so outside of certain instances like the Dawn Brigade in RD lacking funds, and even then it was a minor hindrance at worst.

Also, I really like the look of this unnamed Brave Hero:

That's it, basically.

At this point it's only in the game because that's one of the two things Fire Emblem is known for... I mean besides permadeath... which is what phoenix mode takes away lol.

But yeah, this sounds more interesting. No more putting my best unit out in the middle of nowhere so they can massacre the entire opposing team when they all run at them.

I think it'll be cool. Before, weapons were pretty much a straight tier system and you tossed the weaker ones away and never looked back unless you needed to train a low Weapon Mastery level, now it'll be better to pick and choose depending on what downsides the stronger weapons have.

Hmm, yeah thinking about it that's true. I kinda...idk, I just liked the idea of limited supplies. But I guess it never really was limited. I suppose the idea of it was more what I liked.

Also yes. That character. He kinda looks like a cheesy stereotypical American movie star and I love it.

Fire Emblem really does a good job of getting the character design to match the personality.

Though you could also argue that's a bad thing for stereotyping reasons, but still.

Pretty cool that I can look at these characters right now and be like: We're gonna get along.

I'm not gonna get along with this guy. Probably.

As long as he doesn't end up someone like Zapp Brannigan or something, I really want to like this guy. I can't think of anyone in Awakening who's character I didn't like, though, so hopefully they'll do as good a job of making everyone likable in If as well.

I disagree. I would love it if he was just Zapp Brannigan. More from a comedy standpoint than an actual standpoint, but I would still like it if they had a gag character like him.

So no more Second Seal shenanigans to make OP characters, I'm fine with that. Characters now have character-specific skills locked in no matter their class, I've been wanting something like that for awhile, so that's cool.

The guy's name is Harold. He fights with the belief that he’s a hero of justice; his one flaw is his exceptionally bad luck. I like it.

EDIT: So of course there's already Harold appreciation out on the internet, and I see someone mention he should be voiced by Patrick Warburton. That would be amazing.

FUCK

So if this makes different characters better for different things, then this is very very good, because Awakening had issues with specific skills needing to be on every character to make them good, essentially.

I wonder though. Cause it says the Parallel Seal doesn't change level, so will we not be able to max everyone's stats in this game?

Exactly. You can go back and forth between classes of the same tier, so you're not stuck with a class change if you end up not liking it, and (I assume) it will allow you to get skills of all the branches, but you can no longer return to an earlier level to further increase your stats.

Honestly, I like it. Second Seals made the game way too easy since you could make everyone incredibly strong, and made the completionist in me want to train everyone to their full potential, so this will simplify my training like in the old games.

Hmm, yeah no second seal is fine by me. I never reclassed anyway. Except to make Vaike a Barbarian and end the game with max HP without even trying. XD

I like Harold, seems like a fun character to write.

Something I wanted to point out... Second seals are still there they just got renamed to Parallel Seals o.o" Unless I misunderstood something

Parallel Seals can only change you from class to class within the same tier (like switching between Paladin and Great Knight), while maintaining your same level. So you can't infinitely train a unit to max their stats anymore.

Did anyone mention yet that the Pegasus Knight girl half the people here (including me) really like is the Avatar's older sister?
Cause that's apparently a thing.

But like everyone they've shown is a sibling or relative

The avatar does have two families, after all.

EDIT: So this is pretty cool, even if I don't fully understand it.
