Flame Dragon
How goo is this in commander? It seems pretty good there.
Cirrus
It would have to actually regen for you to gain control of it. Not terrible but not actually amazing either. Just okay. Your opponent doesn't usually let their best dudes die in combat or whatever so you'd have to DoJ (or any equivalent that allows regen) and then play this. http://magiccards.info/wl/en/127.html

In commander you steal it as someone else tries to kill it. The format is full of very power standalone cards so it seems solid.
Trebuchet MS
Alternatively, throw out a wrath effect yourself and put this on top. Everyone's things die, but you now have their threat.
Cirrus
Quite so. Day of Judgment, Supreme Verdict, et cetera will allow regen and thus you to steal something. However while it's useful it's not necessarily always such, and there's often other cards that aren't so quite situational. If you like it, it can be good. I'd recommend testing it to see if you like playing with it.
bury the year
I wouldn't use it, mainly because it's so situational. Creatures I'd want dead are usually those with indestructable, which gets around this anyways.
