"Ancient Gear Golem" + 2 "Ancient Gear" monsters

This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Fusion Summon. During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Positionmonster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. If this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate Spell or Trap Cards until the end of theDamage Step. If this card is destroyed, you can Special Summon 1 "Ancient Gear Golem" from your Graveyard, ignoring the Summoning conditions.

 

I finally hit 4400 posts. Progress had been slow ='D

Anyway, this is the only card with 4400 ATK, and boy does he take me back.

Demands huge resources for potential OTKs. The thing is, the original already did piercing, so if you had it on the field, fusion summoning was kind of a waste. Now, if you didn't, this guy was loads of fun. 

This reminds me, I need to build the deck again. Sadly, the field spell ruling is a thing.

Power Bond = 8800 piercing. Limiter Removal boosts this further.

 

The biggest issue with it is that you need to run Golem (or a Fusion substitute) and other Ancient Gears, and most of the Ancient Gears are...lacking. They either are too weak, or they have some sort of Summoning restriction. Even if you choose Gadjiltron Dragon as the other Ancient Gear(s), and use things like Geartown to justify it, you're still trying to build a Deck that can bring this out consistently, and I suspect many times, it's a situation where either you win right there, or you lose right there, due to the investment of resources.

 

That said, other than the Summoning condition, this thing is just a monster.

 

It's also one of the two cards capable of Special Summoning Ancient Gear Golem.

Normal Geargiauger, search Ancient Gear Box, use Gear Box's effect and search Ancient Gear Knight. 2/3 of the way now. And thanks to this guy, Fusion Reserve can search Golem.

With how they played up the Ancient Gear nation attacking Heartland, I would be a bit disappointed if they didn't do something like this; hoping that means actual Ancient Gear support down the road.

We'll still don't have your Ancient Gear support from 5D's so I doubt they'd bother. Unless Hikokubo remembers he can reuse anime cards.
