New Blackwings! (Need Help!)

The 1 squall is for the level 6 into joe back into the level 6.

Gladius is because of pinaka (and steam) being kind of annoying in the hand.

Its been fairly consistant and been able to hold its own with the trap line-up.

Its the only level 6 non-tuner in blackwings and has really decent attack to search most things when NS'd.

Oroshi seems like dead weight, and Elphin is far too slow for my liking, even if it is the only lv6 - and I can't see 6s benefiting you all that much here. I see that Oroshi + Elphin = Joe + Elphin, but there are far better ways of making Joe - namely with Gale, which should be run at maximum numbers. Zephyros helps BWs immensely as extra Summoning power at next to no cost - you can bounce a Whirlwind or simply re-summon a BW like Bora, Kris or Gale. Gram is a pretty bad card and Hyper Librarian won't benefit you much, so swap them for an Armades and another Extra Deck card of your choice. 

 

I don't like Upstart in a Deck like BWs that can't OTK that easily, so I would probably take them out for 2 Sirocco (which is faster than Elphin and can search anything Elphin can) and an Icarus or Vanity.

 

So yeah, run 2 Gale (3 with the January banlist), 1 Zephyros, 2 Sirocco and perhaps even a foolish since you now have 4 targets for it (but I can't vouch for Foolish here at all, since I haven't tested it myself). I would also consider Goyo and Beelze.

Thanks for the feedback but.... I can see where your coming from, but really i cant be bothered to run Gale, it really doesnt help me much and never have i thought "Oh i wish i had a gale in this situation". Also, making joe using Gale is pointless since his 1st effect becomes un-usable and since you can only search sirocco/elphin using pinaka then it will be dead for a good while, plus you cant even NS Sirocco at all half of the time, although i admit that elphin isnt great, its about the only level 5+ that im comfortable running.

Oroshi is never deadweight, it provides for the monsters with fairly low attack and helps makes easy 5's and 7' with elphin and even 9's if using other things.

Upstart is because the deck NEEDS to get PoD or Blackwhirl ASAP or you lose.

 

I could probably take out a elphin (I never want to draw it anyway)  for a zephyros since stuff coming back from the graveyard is always nice.

 

With the extra normal summon coming from the synchro then Elphin can be normal summoned easily, but sirocco couldnt.

 

Yeah the extra deck was Slammed together so ill change that.

 

But when you said "Oroshi + Elphin = Joe + Elphin, but there are far better ways of making Joe - namely with Gale," I was like, wow, did they even think this through? The whole point i even summon him is to use his effect, and gale + sirocco doesnt do the job so, wut?

 

Icarus im on the sidelines about since ive found my trap line-up to be pretty solid :/

 

 

Anyway, I dont know, but i havent tested any other version of the deck so yours may work better, but ive been having some nice success with this so dar, but i will update it.
