Huh. The warning system had a new icon.
Well, I guess since that didn't work, can you explain how this thing works, in simple terms?
I dropped an Economics class in college because I didn't get it.

The bolded numbers in the price list are the stock prices per stock. For example, the Yugiohcardmaker Forum costs 30 per stock. You can buy a maximum of 100 combined stocks. The prices change, so if the price is greater when you sell, you profit. If the prices are lower, you lose out. They are bought with points.

And what's the point of all of this?

And what's the point of all of this?

With the upcoming changes to the point system, this could be an extra source of income. It also is a good indicator of forum activity.

Also, fun. Some people find this sort of risk/reward system to be enjoyable.

How do I get more points without risk?
And what do I use points for, again?

Points are gained by posting, and when the new changes are enacted, other achievements.

Points are used to purchase items in the YCM store, to buy things from the shops section, or whatever you feel like using them for.

Guys here's a really simple hint.  Buy stocks that are at 1.  Sections can't go bankrupt so you literally cannot lose money.  Decimals are rounded up so the only way a 1 can go down is if it hits 0 which will rarely happen.  Pure profit.

I'm actually thinking about editing this system so that this doesn't snowball as hard. I'm also planning on adding stock limits, though this isn't actually relevant to this post.

Is there a way to trade points for money, and vice-versa?

This is a silly question.

I really hope that this crashes.

Thank you for the encouragement.

Prices have been updated for Dec. 15, 2014.

Notice: There has been a rule change. Values below 4 are no longer exempt to the Dividend. This means that any Stock at ΔPosts of 5 or lower will always have a value of 1.

Members that have bought Stocks at ΔPosts 4 or lower before this change have been compensated for the change.
