Smear
http://www.news.com.au/national/a-man-is-holding-several-people-hostage-at-martin-place-cafe/story-fncynjr2-1227156241649So a lot of people are being held hostage. Some guesses of how many range from 13 to 20, even up to 50.Also, not quite sure if stated in the article, but 4 bombs are hidden around Sydney. The Opera House and several other places have been evacuated.Yeah, discuss.
Tentacruel
The best thing now would be for news media not to intentionally spread panic like they love to do. Worrying that they don't even have contact with the gunmen yet.
chairman ali
The Black Standard is a flag also known as the standard of Mohammed. It carries the symbol of the eagle and was one of the flags flown by the prophet Mohammed but has been hijacked by jihadists and Islamists. I'm glad they didn't label prophet Muhammad as a terrorist. Looks like another ISIS supporter going crazy. These guys are unbelievably stupid.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Indeed, it would appear that ISIS (or one of their supporters) are really trying to spread their radical Islamic views over the globe. Seriously, we get enough of this crap already; factoring in what already happened to the 5-6 or so people that ISIS already killed. In any case, it's a sad situation to say the least. The people trapped in the shop risk losing their lives if the gunman snaps and goes on a rampage; peaceful Muslims get their image tarnished by an extremist taking things out of context with their teachings. If I remember correctly, it was meant to be a peaceful religion [from whatever was taught in college] (Just so you know, I'm no expert in Islamic affairs, so I apologize if I said something incorrect)

It's not just people hurt from this, religions get shamed for one person doing something stupid. Also, update: 5 hostages now out, still an unknown number left inside. I will admit they can be. But also I'm just glad to see people taking a shot at how media portrays things like this. Because I've for a long time had issues with how they do things. Anyway, so the gunman is dead? But also someone else, and some injured. That's sad...people can be really crazy sometimes. Didn't read all about it so don't know the motivation or anything but still, there's not really any justifying this.
