Is this how blue players feel?

Recommended Posts

You see, this is why I play competitively, where people understand that countermagic is not "broken," and rather than complaining about it, they actually play around it.

Counters, by their very nature, are a balanced concept. Card advantage they are almost always neutral, and even though they provide a mana advantage, they force you to dedicate a certain amount of your deck to something that simply cannot make you win.

The owner of the Card Shop here mainly does MTG, and lends decks to people to play. Gives discounts, and teaches people who want to play. All around bad ass guy.He outright refuses to play against people who run blue cards in their deck.

"Here, let me teach you this really cool game, but I only bother with 80% of it because the other 20% isn't based on turning creatures sideways"

Not saying the dude isn't awesome, but that level of salt is just ridiculous.

You're not wrong.

It's kind of hilarious, though.

I walked in and had him teach me how to play. We're most of the way done when he asked me what I wanted to build with my knowledge of the game now. I told him Blue and Black sounded nice together. I could feel the salty glare.

If you can't deal with blue, you're a bad player.

Why am i only capable of repping this once? Idgi.

-White can just play more things than blue can deal with
-Black can play a few life to be vastly more efficient
-Red can just go faster
-Green has both uncounterability and pro blue. Often on the same creatures. These very same creatures are invariably costed efficiently enough to be played in any standard environment where blue is too prolific.
