Azure Wolf Posted December 5, 2014 Report Share Posted December 5, 2014 After a discussion with my siblings about what 2 superpowers we would have and deciding that my powers were the best, I decided to make a RP where we each have a maximum of 2 abilities and just generally go about everyday life for a bit then move on to a more complex story. The story will basically start off with the characters at school, work or doing whatever and once enough characters have collided a larger picture will develop. If this gets enough interest I will span it across multiple arcs. This RP will most likely take place in a existing Town/City for the sake of being as realistic as possible, despite the powers and will probably take place somewhere in the UK as I am sort of familiar with the layout of the capital cities of each country. [spoiler='Backstory/Plot']In the year 1957, a planet wide storm happened, after which some people started to develop strange powers. After years of research, scientists found out that the storm had edited the genes of some people and had managed to find a way to copy the changes into ordinary people, though there was a risk during the operation causing rapid mutations in the patient, usually resulting in death or severe damage to internal organs, with only 8 of the original test subjects survived. Though like the ones which appeared naturally, the powers can be inherited, though the powers of the children would be the same as their parents while the 'Naturals' had more diverse and interesting abilities. The year is now 2030 and a new city has been founded in England, focused on enhancing the empowered and helping them cope any discrimination they may face out in world. The city's name is Aquias, and has a current population of 30,000 people from around the globe, with a mixture of empowered and normal people.[/spoiler] [spoiler=Rules]1. All roleplays must have the following rules posted so that they are clearly visible in some form, and all members must follow said rules without argument. Failure to do so will result in a warning, and not adding them within 24 hours of the warning will result in a lock. (These are collectively known as the Advanced Clause.) a)All IC posts require at least 4 lines of text, or roughly 100 words at standard formatting. b)Posting in script format is forbidden. c)Copy-pasting or “expying” characters without tailoring them to the new roleplay is forbidden. 2. The host and co-host have final say in what happens and what gets accepted. 3. Players may up-to have 2 character. 4. Copying powers from existing media is fine along. 5. No blatantly overpowered abilities e.g. Invulnerability 6. No Godmodding 7. Post in the OOC thread if your character has began an interaction with another RPer. Rules Regarding Powers. 1. If choosing a power with multiple branches (Boundary Manipulation/ Reality Warping) you can only pick up to 2 branches with anymore would have a mental and physical toll on your character. 2. If you are unsure of whether or not your power is OP ask and if I say it is I will recommend limitations and drawbacks. 3. We think alike, though if there is no limit to the power then yes. In my version I had chosen there was a 10 second limit for either the target of the ability if time has been stopped for everyone else or a 10 second limit for everyone else if only one person has been targeted. What is the public opinion on the powered individuals? Do non-powered people like them? Do they hate them? There would be varied opinions with extremists on both ends of the spectrum, so some would think of them as the saviours of the world and others would think of them as destroyers. For the most part people would mainly react to how you behave if you have revealed your power and so on. It would also depend on whether you use your powers for your self or others, so if you just use your powers for personal gain or just out of boredom people will think less of super-humans as a whole if they haven't seen a lot while if you work in law enforcement or use it for the benefit of others, people will think better of super-humans. I'm interested, and if possible, I would like to be a co-host. But anyways, the story should take place in one city, but having some characters coming from other cities for reference. The story will be taking place in one Town/City but people can be from any place they want (as long as it is real). Regarding powers, there is no real limit to what they are so you could edit the powers of any existing form of media, either from games, comics, movies and so on as long as they don't make you impossible to beat. So if we use time control as mentioned before there would have to be a limit on the target of the ability and how much you could edit time (can you slow it, speed it up or rewind). I am accepting a co-host as currently having another person to help move it along would be useful as I am going to be away for a few days and won't be on as much after that, though I should still be on most days. You can have tech based powers, though your natural abilities (from either the storm or experiments) should be weaker than others or have more restriction then other people or only have one power and your tech increases that ability or have the two powers and your tech increases one power but decreases the others power in return. In this form, She has a round-ish face with red lips, She looks like a 16 year old, age-wise, with a decently sized bust, however, she has a few scars on her hands. She wears a Red Shirt and Blue Jeans, Black Sandals, and a Pair of Earrings that shimmer red or blue, she also wears a Silver Watch that doesn't move, and a cloak on her back that resembles a starry night sky. Personality: Fate is very fickle and Humble, sometimes believing that her Abilities are not simply good enough, otherwise, she is focused, strong and prideful, she has occasional mood swings, usually from focused to enraged or depressed. she does have a lot of days where she is simply nice as she could be, but it's not very often. Aware that she does not need to, She does not eat, drink, or sleep, so she does not have any favorite foods, Her hobbies include Dressing up as various creatures and scaring the bejeebus out of people. she has a hatred for crime and will often try to stop it with her own two hands. Power Origin: She was actually killed in the freak storm by some car accident, however, what seemed to be death to others was an awakening for her as the eye of the storm passed over the accident site, She actually woke up as suddenly as her 'death' hit her, she remained unscathed though Nationality: she seems to have traveled from Canada Allegiance: Unknown, she seems to have her own plans Abilities: Chronolock: Aveikus's Existence is not Linked to Time or Space due to a Severe Planar Misalignment, and thus she is completely unaffected by powers related to those areas. She is completely Cut off from Time itself, which in turn causes her to become Ageless and no longer needing to eat, drink, breathe, or Sleep, and She becomes Immune to Any and all Time-Related powers (Including Bestowal and Theft of her Age, Time Manipulation, and so-on and so-forth), Her Space Lock is not as powerful, as her existence is still bound to Space, but still thin enough to almost be cut off, This grants her the Ability to fly, the Ability to completely phase through anything material she desires, and almost complete immunity to all Space-related powers, such as Spatial Manipulation, Anyone with Powers can still touch her. Shapeshifting: Aveikus can change her form at will, Even to the very point of almost being called Omnifarous, however, it is not perfect shapeshifting, Regardless of the form she takes, There is always 1 constant, Her Right eye is as Red as blood, and her Left Eye is as Blue as an vast ocean. in addition, to copy someone, she has to have been with them for at least 2 hours, and is only kept for 1 day, Using the form Resets the duration. Personality: Usually spends his time in a world of his own, not paying attention to surrounding people or movement. This gets him has put him in a state where no-one can find ways to approach him and he himself doesn't know how he would approach himself. This can be reflected with his primary power or time control, where he separates himself from other peoples timelines and moves into his own. He uses his secondary power to create hidey-holes for himself by morphing the ground around him to form small domes and pits in the ground where he rests and just gets away from other people. Power Origin: Inherited from the storm. Nationality: British (Northern Irish) Allegiance: Neutral Abilities: Time Control - Can edit the time of a target(s) for up to 10 seconds either stopping it, speeding it up or slowing it down while excluding either himself or others from the effects. The time limit can be breached, but can have a serious mental toll if the time limit is even exceeded by 5 seconds. (The time limit is based on the time of non-targeted people.) Terramorphing - By changing the ground different elements can be placed or removed and though the total weight must remain the same (can't remove 10 grams of gold and replace with 40 grams of lead.)
