CrabHelmet
Both are Level 10 4000/4000 LIGHT Fairies. This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by sending 3 monsters you control to the Graveyard. When this card is successfully Special Summoned' date=' toss a coin. This card gains one of the following effects based on the result:● Heads: When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, you can return 1 card in your Graveyard to your hand.● Tails: Negate the activation and effect of a Spell, Trap or Effect Monster that targets this card and destroy it. For each card's activation negated this way, this card loses 1000 ATK.[/quote'] This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by sending 3 monster you control to the Graveyard. When this card is successfully Special Summoned' date=' toss a coin once and depending on the result, the following effect is gained:● Head: This card can attack twice during the same Battle Phase. If you use this effect, this card's battle position is changed at the end of the Battle Phase. It cannot change it's battle position until the end of your next turn.● Tail: When this card is destroyed, destroy all cards on the field.[/quote'] This and Dark Horus are probably the only two cases where the Dark Counterpart is inferior to the original. Of course, Dark Ruler is more suited to this format (not that either of them is very good anyhow), since it rushes in and kills stuff. Discuss. Azuh
i dont know why... but i prefer DARK RULER better... all you need is a clear field and a heads for an OTK for it but the LIGHT RULER is exceptionally better
Cyber Altair
why is he Light when he is black and red? Anyways think Light Ruler is better, MR with 1 head and 2 Dragon Heads, a belly, two long gun hands and a tail.
iAmNateXero
to clear the field in a single swoop is kinda kewl.
Aesirson
I like both of them, but I preffer the Dark Ruler, don't know exactly why but both of them kick ass!
Cyber Altair
people may prefer Dark Ruler due to is effect, which is sorta beatdown. Light Rulers tends to give you control and lost monsters as well.
Umbra
Light Ruler can either recycle a card from your Graveyard, or negate but loses ATK. Dark Ruler is either a 8000 damage attacker, or a Dark Hole + Heavy Storm. I'd say Dark Ruler Supremacy.
Azuh
i was thinking more of: Light Ruler = Helps you Dark Ruler = Destroys Opponent
Cyber Altair
i was thinking more of: Light Ruler = Helps you Dark Ruler = Destroys Opponent exactly, which is why Light ruler is better, Dark ruler is more of a beatdown.
pizzaman
Had Dark Ruler for a short time in my Zombie deck (since it's pretty easy to get 3 monsters out). Worked well as a finisher or as a bomb sitting on the field, but the problem is, you cannot choose what you want it to be.

CrabHelmet
Why is Dark Ruler a LIGHT monster? He's the ruler of the dark, not a ruler that is dark.

Umbra
The grammar's the problem here. Is "DARK" in this card's name a noun or an adjective? If it's a noun, it could be LIGHT.If it's an adjective, it should be DARK.
RedSceptile
This and Dark Horus are probably the only two cases where the Dark Counterpart is inferior to the original. Am I the only one that thinks that Dark Horus' effect should be RFG one DARK monster in your graveyard to negate the activation and effect of a Spell card?
