These rules honestly feel unneeded, can they be removed?

People hardly make threads as it is, and I don't think these rules are being enforced.

A lot of stuff in misc is legit anyway.

[Serious] tag is a joke and you all know it.

Instead, I propose that things like spam itself are banned from Misc.

Threads like these:

No offense, Raeg ='D

that literally contribute nothing to the site even more so than normal.

I didn't say it was an issue.

I had a suggestion to replace the "one topic per hour" rule, which honestly isn't needed.

If they want less spam (hence the hour rule), then just ban spam.

That rule was there because people were really being stupid with it. This way keeps it at a more reasonable level. We want spam, but not like, outrageous spam.

If someone can't wait an hour...well that's their problem.

General is SUPPOSED to be orderly discussion. It is supposed to talk about things that don't have a more specific section around the forum, but it still has to keep on topic and serious. There is no reason why it should be looking like Miscellaneous =/

Miscellaneous doesn't really need rules. Just common sense like "don't post pornography".

The anti-flood rule was because as much as it is allowed to get spammy, it becomes the kind of spam nobody enjoys if people keep making 50 threads per minute just because they can, burying mostly everything rather quickly and therefore making threads pass unnoticed and just die down before they start. There was a flood problem when the idea of the section was being tested.

Eliminating spam is taking off the very reason it exists: To have fun with lax and wacky spam. Flooding also kills this.
