I prefer to keep my level 4s around for their insane search power, and they won't return to my hand if I tribute or special summon them, barring the level 4 pendulums, which I like to use as a final push with daibakaze. And you can only do Mam's effect once per turn anyway, same for Shrine, so that's a whole 2 cards you can grab per turn, if you follow through with the whole thing.Maga fuels Shrine as well.
