Only 10kb?!?

For some reason, it will only let me upload a 10 kilobyte file, which isn't even a card! Help anyone!?! I have a really good card idea and I wanna upload it!

Click the card you are making in the card maker.
An imgur link should appear slightly below the card.
Copy and paste the entire thing.
Voila!

We've been stressing the following point since YCM came up in 2006, but I'll reiterate it so you learn:

 

Do NOT use attachments to post your cards on YCM.

If you want to post cards, then open it in the card maker and left click it. You should get an IMG code below; copy/paste that code into your thread.

 

If the cardmaker is acting stupid at the moment and won't generate said code, save the card to your computer and upload it elsewhere (either on your own Imgur account or another image host).

If we could edit the carmaker to say "CLICK THE DAMN CARD TO GENERATE A LINK" this would literally solve everything.

Not "lol look in obscure locations to find small rules that new members can not find out on their own because they are hidden by having to click an image"

If newbies actually read CC rules, we wouldn't have these kind of problems.

But yeah, would be nice if we can code that in the cardmaker.

 

Instead of the generic text that appears when cardmaker first loads up, have that message.

It's a thread; that could easily get overlooked, especially considering it's just smacked into CC.

It's in a spoiler, one of 3 or so.

That's…a bit much to find one rule that is pretty critical.

Make an announcement or add some text to CC right where everyone can see it stating that, maybe.

 

And lol iirc it just says "Using attachments to post cards in this section is highly discouraged. You can simply generate an image code from the cardmaker by left-clicking on it. In the case of Pendulums, since we lack the template for it right now (in the generator), simply upload it to Imgur or another image host."

 

It doesn't even say it isn't allowed.

I should've fixed that part in the rulebook; will need to apply it to RC-Multiples / Pop Culture / Experimental as well; given same rule applies there.

Otherwise, there is an announcement about it as an added reminder.
