Laura Bailey is one of the best Voice actresses of this or any other generation. When she does a characters voice she nails it. Whether it be ultra goofy or super serious nothing gets overlooked. That's what this thread is for. I'm gathering votes for my list of top 20 Laura Bailey Characters. To be fair I picked 10 from anime with her in the cast and 10 from games she's been in the cast of. Before I start writing up the script for this list I need you to do research on these 20 characters and vote for your favorite.
My choice is Marta Lualdi and she is number 1 because she's the total package: Borders between humorous and serious, good backstory, and her mystic arte heals her allies.
I wanna hear whom, out of the 20 I picked, is your favorite. Also, only one per series or franchise. If your favorite is not on the list drop a line and tell me about it. I'd love to hear about it.

But first, do research, look it up, watch the anime of character, play the games, whatever. Anyway, let's go. Just not sure if this topic belongs here, in video games, movies and tv or general discussion.

Edit: Changed one of the options to Tohru Honda from Fruits Basket.

Only saw one or two episodes of Kekkaishi not enough to see Tokine.

And I agree, Lust is one of those characters that are perfect. I kinda remember one episode where at the end, she caused genocide to an entire village. Kinda makes you wonder if she wanted to kill the villagers for her amusement or wanted to end their prolonged suffering out of pity.

And the method to my madness, I picked Rayne because it was the first video game character she voiced, Marlene cause it was the voice that kick started her career, Odette cause I never thought Swan Princess would ever have more movies, Platinum cause she can be Comedy Platinum, others are either fan favorites be it by nostalgia or looks. This is a top 20. If I wanted to I could do a top 50 Laura Bailey voiced characters and post them in the poll but there's a 20 choice limit.

The options on the poll are a mix of characters from anime, western animation, and video games, so I think it wouldn't be fair to put this in any of the Multimedia sections. As such, I'm moving this to Polls.

Torn between Lust and Lucina on this one, as both of them nail styles that Laura employs in her performances.

Lust, by her very nature, is meant to be seductive, and Laura shows a nice mix of that seductive nature through a lack of a humanity. I'm thinking of Brotherhood though, but from what I remember of '03, the episode with the village of dying people was meant to push her onto a path towards redemption, so I'm leaning towards her having let the people die because she considered it a mercy kill.

Lucina, while sadly limited, has good voice clips. I like when Laura plays a hero, and Lucina is great as the leader of the second generation. It's a nice contrast compared to Lust, because while Lust makes the most of Laura's "evil" performance ability, Lucina does the same for when Laura voices heroes.

Hmm… I feel I had more to say for Lust on her own, so in terms of Laura Bailey's history of performances (At least based on what I've actually seen and can remember), I'm going to have to pick Lust.

Well thanks for your output. Lucina and Lust are some of her more Serious roles, So are Halibel, Rayne and Marlene.

Actually, there isn't anything in particular I like about the character I picked. I only picked her because she's the only one I don't feel completely neutral towards. In other words, I like her more than any other character voiced by Laura Bailey, but not for any particular reason.

Should I have said something sooner

even though I didn't really add an intelligent reply?

N-

I probably shouldn't have even replied, but if you really want everyone to do so.
