Duelist locked in battle! Kicking the earth and dancing alongside their monsters! They storm through the field! Behold! This is the newest and greatest evolution of dueling! ACTION DUEL!

 

The Leo Duel School (レオ・デュエル・スクール Reo Deyueru Sukūru, often abbreviated as LDS Erudīesu) is a preparatory Duel school located in Maiami City. It is the most prestigious of the Duel schools and is owned by the Leo Corporation.[1] The school offers courses for Fusion Summon, Synchro Summon and Xyz Summon.[2]Reiji Akaba also wants to include Pendulum Summon in the curriculum. The school is currently headed by Himika Akaba.

 

 

Congratulations. Somehow you made it to one of the most illustrious dueling schools in the world. Now you must do your part to earn your keep. What path do you take want take? What skills will you master? Will you master the overlay network and learn Xyz Summoning, cluster the stars together and take on Synchro Summoning, make two become one and learn the ever popular Fusion Summoning. OR will you be part of the new secret advance classes personally taught buy Mr. Reiji Akaba on PENDULUM SUMMONING? Be careful though, it seems that trouble is befalling the LDS students as some force is blatantly targeting its students and staff. But I wouldn’t worry, you’re more than capable of handling that…right?

"Get up!" Luna snapped "Are you gonna spend the rest of the day moping on the floor or are you going to finish this?"

 

"What's the point?" Aiya replied "I shouldn't even have tried in the first place."

 

Luna grabbed Aiya by the back of the collar and pulled her to her feet, glaring "Grow a friggin backbone already, would you! It's your turn now take it"

 

"I don't have any monster that can get past his though," Aiya replied "It's ATK is too high."

 

"It's ATK is high, but its DEF is low," Luna replied "You just need to get past its DEF."

 

"But it's in attack mode!" Aiya replied.

 

"Then put it in defense mode!"

 

Aiya blinked, staring at Luna as if she'd only just realized that was a possibility. She shook her head and turned her attention back to her opponent, drawing a new card to start her turn. "My draw!" She declared "And I summon Spell • Girl Luna!"

 

"About damn time," Luna grinned.

 

Luna vanished from her spot beside Aiya and reappeared in front of her in a display of shadows.

 

"I activate Luna's effect," Aiya said "By sending one spell card from my hand to the grave I can change your monster into face-down defense position! I send Spell Wind from my hand to the graveyard!"

 

Aiya send her spell card to the grave and Luna gave a broad grin, raising her staff as a powerful black aura began to grow from it towards Kounanne's monster.

 

"Once Luna's effect resolves the effect of Spell Wind will activate and return your Astral Barrier to your hand!"

Custom Cards are always allowed. What fun would a Yu-Gi-Oh RP be with out customs. Thought make no mistake all of the cards must be pre-approved by myself and my word on them is final. If one wants to keep their cards a secret then they are free to PM them to me. If not then the should posted someone where in the app that is clear for anyone to see. And it should also go without saying that if you are using someone else's custom cards you should get that person permission of course. [/spoiler]

 

 

[spoiler: Things to note]

Things to note

1.   All characters get ONE archetype and that archetype alone. LDS students don’t run other engines apparently. Of course your are free to create support for your chosen archetype or make a custom archetype altogether.

2.   All characters are going to have ONE form of extra summoning. Meaning you can only choose ONE from Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, and Pendulum and you will be taking those classes. Of course characters who choose the same method will probably be taking similar classes and will therefore know each other.

3.   Similar to an old RP known as Hearts of Darkness you can actually make apps for characters that exist in the show (except Reiji, his mother, and brother). So if wanted you can have someone who runs Gemknight, Constellars, and Sabers.

4.   As always customs must be submitted for preapproval.

5.   As always duels between players will have some form of pre-planning between the two players.

Thanks to the recent kidnappings rumors of recent kidnappings Himika Akaba has hired four of LDS' secret top students to help bodyguard Reiji without his knowing. These students have shown such amazing potential that they have mastered 2 or 3 kinds of Special Summoning.  Apps for the Four Devas will be on a quality basis not a "reserve" system. [/spoiler]

Though, is it legal to include a monster or two not in the archetype? There is some precedent in Masumi running Crystal Rose, after all.

Yes as long as it is not another "archetype" Example Crystal Rose is not an archetype monster. I'm very liberal here.

 

Having a character idea, so gonna reserve Spirit Beast/Ritual Beast deck, and that raises a question. Will all cards be mentioned by their TCG names?

 

Typically they will be going by their TCG names unless there is overwhelming support for people wanting them to go by OCG names.

 

How are custom archetypes?

 

What? You are not new to this system so I'm confused as to the wording of the question. First, you are always allowed custom archetypes or make custom support for an existing archetype. Second, somehow I am to be notified of all your customs.

 

I am very interested. Do I PM the cards/ link?

Yes or you can put them in your app...whichever is convenient for you.

So, if a character were to use Mecha Phantom Beasts, I could use Concoruda and that new one, but not Dracossack? Frustrating, but i can work with that.

An exception could be made imo, be it an elite student for Youth-class or something like that. Reiji himself use all methods, so why not someone who really great can at least use 2?

 

though if only one is allowed, I also suggest Xyz.

Haruna is a cute and cheerful girl who always being nice, friendly and a bit(?) naughty to everyone around her. Despite this, she's very intelligent and planative when it's about a competition like dueling. She also has a lot of confidence in her deck, skill and planning so that she claimed she could beat Prof. Marco during the Fusion class's first day and suddenly became (Jaden-esque)popular in the class. Furthermore, she never rejected any dueling challenge and always win. Despite being self-confident, She's not an ambitious girl and was not having any problem with Masumi being a Fusion class representative even she's certain she's better than GK-girl.

Haruna was a skillful duelist who mastered Contact Fusion even before she enrolling any Duel School, thx to her parents who were unnaturally good at Fusion *cough*another world*cough*. Last year, she has won some random local tournament sponsored by Leo Corp. Shortly after that, Reiji who watched that final match has talked to her and invited her to LDS, which she accepted.

 

Later, she moved to Miami and enrolled LDS. Despite her age, with her unmatched skill at Fusion, she suddenly being placed in the 3rd year class where many students such as Masumi are already good at Fusion with their 2-years experience. The result was as expected. She's a fast and talented learner who completed all 3rd year's classes in a mere 4 months and managed to complete 4th year's Super Polymerization class just by a month after taking it. She's a student who was rumored to already have an elite task force position when she graduated or even at the end of this year if she could finish all 4th year classes by then. Now she's willing to take part in Junior Youth Miami Championship for the first time (since she's too young for Youth section, no matter how skillful she is) while also trying to have Prof. Marco accept her dueling challenge.

The emphasis of their strategy is Contact Fusion, by banishing the materials you control. In addition, all of the Fusions share the following effect:

This trademark effect is one of their biggest strength; by utilizing this effect, they can dodge most targeting dangerous effects.

it's up to you tho, I'm fine with either; she is one, or she is only a talented student who doesn't have any special position because she just moved in.
