So you might have heard of this.

I am legit interested in playing this, for one sole reason.

UNADULTERED VIOLANCE WITH NO RHYME OR REASON.

Also killing spree.

What do yall think?

...

It's funny and pathetic at the same time. Neat.

I can just picture parents buying this for their kids like it's just another gun game. Ugh.

It's really kind of disgusting when you think about it, but the idea is unique, I'll give it that.

lol it has some merit but no, not really. This is pretty much one of the most disgusting concepts for a game I've ever seen.

And it's probably not the only one of its kind.

Nah, I'm just going to go ahead and say fuck no and leave. Good day sir.

It DID get people's attention, so props to it for that, eh? XD

I suppose.

…sigh…the forms of media that the world devours is disgusting at times.

Opinions, I guess. But if you can give me one reason this isn't a disgusting concept, I'll give you a dollar. other than "money"

People have been doing stuff like this in games for years, this one is just way more direct about it.

Video games don't cause violence, so whatevs, people can play what they want. I'm not that interested in this.

I agree that they aren't a SOURCE of violence, it's the people.

But then we can say the same thing about drugs. And everything else bad in the world.

Video games adversely affect some people, and they should stop playing them if this is the case. But some people don't even recognize what's happening to them. I'd say that sometimes all it takes is one game like this. =T

I too like being a murderous psychopath that kills men women AND children! /sarcasm

I have no interest in the game. The creators clearly have nothing more to say than "HEY LOOK WE CAN BE AS VIOLENT AND OFFENSIVE AS WE WANT."

If they actually appeared (through any means given to them including interviews and trailers) to offer any nuance to their game, I may have had some remote curiosity in it, but that's clearly not the case.

All in all: feels way too preteen-misguided-rebeliossness for anything worthwhile to come of it

Oh, to be more on point with this:

Video Game violence has shown through numerous studies to show increased levels of aggression if experienced over time.

However, there's a lot that goes in to how aggression is turned into action.

Environment, past history, biology, and LITERALLY ANY OTHER MEDIA also play a part.

There are always multiple factors involved in an action, which is why blaming video games for violence is overdoing it.

At the same time, saying they don't affect violence altogether would be an underestimation.

edit: stupid double posts...

Da fuq is that the dude from Metalocalypse? I know it's not but could you get anymore stereotypical "scary" violent guy?

I mean damn, listening to that guy whine in the start was the most cliche, unintelligent mush I've seen in a while, it made me cringe so bad.

And the game itself looks so boring. Just violence for violence sake. I mean, GTA, that's a game that was ultra-violent and murder-y. But it was still a fun game, and wasn't nearly as badly done. Wasn't quite so graphic and....fake gritty.

Graphic violence is one of the weakest forms of entertainment in my opinion. Sure, sometimes it makes sense and is done decent. But when it's just "lol look at how excessive we can be" it's pretty terrible. But especially when it's done like this. All dark and gritty and "We're so serious and intense guys RIGHT? RIGHT!?"

Like...what's the game...  Madworld. That was really violent and such but at least it was done a bit more clever and...whimsical I suppose.

Never getting this game, looks like there's no substance. If I want to go on killing sprees in games there's many other much better options that are actually fun.

We haven't gotten much more than a trailer though. How can you say it has no substance? XP

From what I've seen it has no substance.

That and the fact that generally trailers showcase the most important parts of a game. This showed Gritty McMurderPants being his "super gritty" self, and then a bunch of running and shooting and excessively violent special kill scenes.

It does not lead me to believe there's much at all to this game. I could be wrong but from what I have observed, this is the conclusion I've come to.

Just the horrid dialogue in the start makes me think this game is bland.

I'll wait until I see it played to give my final conclusion, but that is a fair line of thought, admittedly.

I don't think a game needs much more though, at least for me, it'll be fun to kill people for no good reason. XD

Eh, neo-nazi seems to be a bit of a stretch.  Xenophobic, I'd say.

Either way, the game is icky.  The game could have been made by Gandhi.  It wouldn't make it any better.

Although I legit want to make a parody of this crap now.  Take the original trailer and monologue, but then he steps outside and it's a world of rainbows and unicorns and you have to run away from all the smiles and happiness or you lose your edge.

You haven't even played it yet XP

Don't you think it's a bit early to be drawing conclusions?

First impressions are important.

So far I've learned that first impressions are "important" for business, but like 50% of the time they make a product look like something it's not.

I don't look too deep into things before giving them a shot for a reason; I don't want to expect things and get disappointed, which I tend to do.

Totally on topic.

If you want OT:
If this honestly helps you relieve a lot of stress you should probably see a doctor.
I can name plenty of other things that may help alleviate stress.

Hell, plenty of other violent games that do so. This one is just disgusting.

Well yes, many times the product looks like something it isn't. BUT generally it makes the product loom MORE interesting than it really is. So if the first impression makes you think "This is gonna suck" there's more chance that it won't be good.

And yeah, as I said before. Many other violent games do it so much better.
