3 Level 4 monsters
You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a Rank 3 Xyz Monster with a "Burning Abyss" monster as its Xyz Material as an Xyz Material. When this card is Xyz Summoned: You can shuffle up to 5 "Burning Abyss" cards from your Graveyard into the Deck; draw 2 cards, then discard 1 card. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card and send 1 "Burning Abyss" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard; this card gains 500 ATK.

Card B:

1 DARK tuner + 1 or more non-tuner "Burning Abyss" monster(s)
You can only control 1 "Malacoda, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss". You can target 1 "Burning Abyss" monster you control and 1 monster your opponent controls; Send those targets to the Graveyard. You can only activate this effect of "Malacoda, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss" once per turn. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 "Burning Abyss" monster in your Graveyard, except "Malacoda, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss"; Special Summon that target.

I vote for Card B, though I was somewhat tempted to vote for neither

Card A is a huge mess, yeah. It literally turn Cir reviving Dante/TGU into a +2-4 on a 3000++ body, on top of being an Avarice.

While card B doesn't seem to be really worth running since its effect is somewhat weaker than Virgil, at least it fills a somewhat different niche, and the float effect is superior to Virgil.

(though the two aren't really flavorful imo due to being an extra deck monster while the extra deck BA monsters so far are humans.)

So yeah, B since it's less of a huge mess in an already stupid archetype.

I vote for Card B, for basically the same reasons as Ain's:

Card A is too strong: It turns Dante into a 3000-ATK beastick and can be dropped during the Main Phase 1, completely outclassing Downerd Magician. Then it can easily generate a +2 by detaching and milling a Burning Abyss. Finally, it can recycle a considerable amount of Burning Abyss monsters to stay in the game after running out of fuel, while generating a +1~3 in the process; or you can simply return as much as 1 BA for the "on Xyz Summon" effect.

On the other hand, Card B is more of a slightly weaker counterpart of Virgil (not generic, cannot target S/Ts or cards in the grave), but as Ain pointed out, it should have a niche and can be handy sometimes (e.g. when you don't have a BA at hand to discard). At the very least, since Virgil has a "you can only control 1" clause, this could serve as essentially a second copy of Virgil on the field.
