I've noticed some members, for example Goose, have these Detective inspector stuff going on and a badge as their signature. All though I haven't said much I have been following all recent topics and didn't see anything about this YCMPD ever pop up. So what is it for exactly? Is it for fun or do they actually have some power on YCM?

It's for fun, they "investigate" the monsters. And do their job badly. There's a thread in Misc that Goose made at around the start.

Haha. Still I think it would be fun to have this YCMPD thing around sort of has a ring to it. At least I think it has a ring to it.

More or less, YCMPD already existed.

Consider Goose's one as the "civilian version".

 

Of course, the real YCMPD did lose some officers over the past couple weeks if you catch what I'm saying.

You know the real YCMPD refers to the mod staff, and yes one of them did resign [though it was technically done earlier].

With that said, we are considering a new officer for CC.

I wouldn't mind Goose as a mod. I've seen him around letting people know what's what. However Sir MooMoo has also been around communicating with the community. All though it's not my decision who joins the ranks of the YCMPD as a Proby.

Goose already got permabanned a long time ago as Welche, so that option is out.

Okay thanks that answers my question all though I can't really find the topic... ah well. Know I'm tempted to see mods with that badge as a signature to know you screwed up and because it looks cool.

I'm actually the one who designed the badge some of them are wearing; though I sorta quit.

(For all intents and purposes, I already am a YCM police officer, even without this fake stuff [you know, because of my mod duties])

I feel we should have some more fun with this YCMPD. If someone is "caught" something has to be done or happens. Just you know a thought.
