Darj
Yeah, basically a ripoff of the "Break the Above Card" thread, except that here instead of breaking cards, you fix cards that are bad, subpar, etc. so they become good, fair, or worth of being played.
1. You can only nominate cards that are bad, subpar, average, etc. and need a fix. Thus, you cannot nominate cards that are already good and request to make them better. 2. You can only make 1 of the following fixes: - Change its original Type. - Change its original Attribute. - Change its original Level or Rank. - Change its ATK/DEF values. The adjustments must be reasonable (e.g. don't randomly turn a level 4 with a decent effect into a 2100+ ATK beater) - If it is an Extra Deck monster, change its material requirements (e.g. instead of an Xyz requiring 3 Level X monster as materials, replace it with 2 monsters). - Change the card's sub-type (Monsters: Tuner, Spirit, Union, etc. Spell/Traps: Continuous, Quick-Play, Counter, etc.) Just refrain from doing unreasonable changes, such as randomly upgrading a Normal Trap into a Counter for the Spell Speed 4. - Water down or remove restrictions. - Improve effects the card already has (e.g. if the monster Special Summons something from the hand, change it so it also Summons from the grave). - Add an inherent summoning condition if the card needs it that badly. If you do, it should either work from the hand (e.g. Hyperion, Priestess of Prophecy) or if it works from the grave, the condition should cost card advantage or at least be a +0 (e.g. Machina Fortress); this is to prevent the card from turning into something like Grapha. 3. You cannot: - Add additional effects. You will have to work with the effects the card already has. -Give the card an unrelated Attribute/Type (e.g. turning, let's say, Rai-Oh into a WATER or Sea Serpent) or otherwise affect the card's flavor (e.g. changing the attribute of an X-Saber, when all X-Sabers are EARTH). - Break other flavorful traits of cards or archetypes. For instance: A. The sum of ATK+DEF of all Traptrix monsters is equal to 2800, so if a Traptrix monster is nominated, you cannot change its ATK/DEF values that would break that "rule", but you can still adjust them as long as the total remains as 2800. B. All Artifacts are Level 5, so you cannot change the Level of an Artifact nominated here.
Example: Artifact Labrys Fix: effect When an "Artifact" card is destroyed (either by battle, or by card effect) and sent to your Graveyard (except during the Damage Step): You can Special Summon this card from your hand. Reasoning: Now its effect would also work when an Artifact is destroyed by battle, which should make it more live. Also I believe this change would hardly make the card abusable, overpowered or broken. (Explaining the fixes you make is optional.) Maeriberii Haan
When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Winged Beast-Type monster from your Deck. Darj
I must admit that's a tough one, Nai. I just spent some minutes in thinking how to improve it without breaking it but I have not come up with anything yet. I did consider adding a second effect that makes it live if you draw it, but then I realized I would be breaking my own rule. In the end, I would fix it this way: Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned by the effect of "Silent Magician LV4" and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card is unaffected by your opponent's Spell effects. As a semi-Nomi now it can be revived, but it is still difficult to Summon properly. And I would say that, in this case, it is actually LV4 who needs the fix, not LV8.
