Eye Guy
"Relinquished", "Thousand-Eyes Idol"Other monsters cannot change their battle position or attack. Once per turn, you can equip 1 monster your opponent controls to this card (max 1). This card's ATK and DEF become the same as the equipped monster's. If this card would be destroyed by battle, the equipped monster is destroyed instead. This magnificent monster can not only keep those meddlesome Rangers from stopping your plans, but can also slowly devour them, and even use they're own weapons against them! You can also make this beast from a fusion of a cyclops and a monster of pure eyeballs, to create a horror of unimaginable terror! Toffee.
I'm still puzzled as to why this is banned...Likely because Instant Fusion is still around, and Konami doesn't want people making decks full of revival cards, for the sole purpose of playing this later to stall/easily remove monsters.Plus, given the sudden pressure this thing could create(Despite being obscure), it would just make the game rather weird......Or something like that. 玄魔の王
If Instant Fusion goes to 1, this can come back. Konami just doesn't wanna do that because they need a convenient way to reprint this first.

The only way to actually abuse this is to build a deck specifically around it. And even then we've gotten past only being able to destroy things by battle. Because Instant Fusion is already a problem card in its own right, and deserves the hit anyway.
Sleepy
Imagine having sex with this thing, it's fem right? ~~curiously, does this have rule 34 yet? Rule 34 covers it if it exists, so it should have. Maybe not in an easy to find site, but there should be. OT: Kynka-Byo and Instant Fusion are the most prominent cards that can combo with this card, and I think there's a Spellbook that can protect it, and Limit Reverse is a pretty workable attack-stopping technique with it. Overall the card can inspire an entire deck around it, but I don't see it be terribly powerful nowadays.
goddamnit names are a pain
So you're saying 101 is fine but this isn't? Both essentially do the same thing. 101 doesn't gain attack, yes, but this doesn't have blanket protection. I don't get why it honestly can't come back. If people want to make bad decks, let them. Also, 101 isn't OPT, but C101 is xD

~British Soul~
This is what it looks like I was trying to think when that happened, but I just remembered that was in season 4 when Mai duelled Pegasus.
werewolfjedi
this should be allowed to come off the banlist. there isn't any real threat from this monster since we have so many ways to just make it go away. plus, instant fusion already has noden and that mecha dragon to problem solve. this wouldn't change anything. You can only use this effect of "Number 101: Silent Honor ARK" once per turn. If this face-up card would be destroyed, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead. goddamnit names are a pain
I should have clarified: 101 is used once and is done. You don't have materials to do it again. This can be used as many as you want, but only once a turn.

Paheal has exactly 1 image involving Thousand-Eyes Restrict. Just, not on the receiving end of anything. I'd link it, but I'm not risking a ban for that. Neutrality Man
Everyone here is discussing the Effect it just copied word for word off of Relinquished. Nobody mentions the fact that while it is on the field it's the only monster that can Attack or change battle position.

Nobody mentions the fact that while it is on the field it's the only monster that can Attack or change battle position. *Raises hand* I mentioned it. That effect on itself would have as much of an impact as Swords of Revealing Light. If Swords was a strong stall card back in the day and now got to 3 with no problems, it is because stall that depends on the card producing it staying on the field to keep working is more often than not untrustworthy nowadays. The Relinquished effect is also "good" but not broken. If anything would present a problem with this card, it'd be the fact it has both, but even then...
